Reports: Google paid top exec $90m but kept sexual misconduct claims against him quiet

Andy Rubin

Details of the sexual misconduct allegations that caused Android creator Andy Rubin to resign from Google in 2014 have come to light
Google gave a $90m severance package to Andy Rubin, the creator of the Android mobile software, but concealed details of a sexual misconduct allegation that triggered his departure, the New York Times has reported.

According to unnamed sources who spoke to the Times, Google investigated and found credible claims from a female employee, who said Rubin forced her to perform oral sex in a hotel room in 2013.

Soon after, Larry Page, Google's former CEO, asked for his resignation. However, the company continued to pay him millions of dollars in installments of $2m a month for four years.

Comment: Andy Rubin has denied the accusations. The Telegraph reports:
former Google senior executive, who reportedly received a £70m pay-off after he was accused of sexual harassment by an employee, has hit back at the allegations, saying they are part of a "smear campaign". [...]

"Specifically, I never coerced a woman to have sex in a hotel room. These false allegations are part of a smear campaign to disparage me during a divorce and custody battle," he said.

"Also, I am deeply troubled that anonymous Google executives are commenting about my personnel file and misrepresenting the facts."

Mr Rubin began dating his accuser while married to his former wife in 2012. In March the following year his accuser tried to break off the relationship, according to The New York Times.

They agreed to meet in a hotel, where Mr Rubin is alleged to have pressured her into performing a sex act, and the relationship ended that evening. A year later, the accuser filed a complaint to Google's human resources department and told officials about the relationship.

Sara Carter: Second-wave of migrant caravan highly organized, majority are men with MS-13 and other gang members

Migrant caravan MS-13 gang members

Members of the violent MS-13 gang are among the 7,000-strong migrant army heading towards the United States, according to award winning reporter Sarah Carter.
According to a renowned investigative reporter who just returned from Central America, the caravan of migrants and illegal immigrants from Honduras headed toward the U.S. southern border contains a disproportionate number of men, including some affiliated with dangerous gangs.

"Some of the people within the caravan were actually tattooed with MS-13 markings," award-winning reporter Sara Carter revealed Wednesday evening on Fox News. "It wasn't the majority of people, though, but what I can tell you is the majority of people that were in the caravan and the people I interviewed on the ground there were men."

Listen to her full report below:

The Department of Homeland Security has confirmed this to be true, saying in a statement that "there are individuals within the caravan who are gang members or have significant criminal histories."

'Death food': Monsanto's best-selling herbicide glyphosate now found in pet food as well as cereal

Two new studies show how extensively Monsanto's best-selling herbicide glyphosate has permeated our food chain. Designated carcinogenic by some health authorities, it was found in over 40 pet foods and breakfast cereals.

Researchers at Cornell University found glyphosate in all 18 of the dog and cat food brands they surveyed, including one product that was certified GMO-free. They stressed that the chemical was present in low concentrations - lower than those typically found in human food, at least - but glyphosate's effect on domestic animals in any concentration is unknown, and studies have found human cells to show negative effects when exposed to levels of glyphosate-based herbicides far below those deemed "safe" by regulators.

They were unable to track the source of the glyphosate, though a correlation with fiber suggested it was coming from plant material. Interestingly, the GMO-free product revealed glyphosate levels higher than many of the processed feeds, suggesting that merely following organic procedures is not enough to mitigate the invasive effects of agricultural chemicals.

A black supporter of US President Donald Trump claims her influential Twitter account was suspended almost immediately after she announced her intention to attend an upcoming conservative conference in Washington, D.C.

Writing to The Gateway Pundit website, Melissa (who asked to be identified by first name only) said her account with 118,000 followers was suspended "within an hour of posting" an announcement that her trip would include a visit to meet Trump at the White House.

The self-described "pro-Trump influencer" said it was the third account she had created since "coming out" as a black, female Trump supporter. The Trump fan said she had to "jump through a few hoops" to get the account back up and running, only to have it suspended again four days later with "no stated reason."

NBC host Megyn Kelly could be fired for saying 'blackface' costume isn't necessarily 'racist' - UPDATE: Annnnnd... she's gone

Comment: Update 26 Oct 2018

They've fired her. And that was despite apologizing. Which never works anyway...
The news host did not appear on her morning show, 'Megyn Kelly Today,' on Thursday, and multiple outlets have reported that Kelly is currently negotiating an exit from NBC, citing sources familiar with the matter. She has already parted ways with her talent agency, CAA, and hired a glitzy Hollywood litigator for what could become a long, contentious negotiation over her exit. Kelly, 47, inked a three-year $69-million contract with NBC in January 2017.

NBC host Megyn Kelly
NBC host Megyn Kelly prompted racial controversy when she claimed that dressing up in 'blackface' for Halloween is no big deal, as long as you're playing a character.

In a discussion that started out on universities pressuring students into wearing 'culturally appropriate' Halloween costumes, Kelly quickly transitioned into defending blackface - minstrel-style makeup widely considered offensive and racist.

"What is racist?" Kelly wondered aloud. "You truly do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween."

Comment: Identity politics continues devouring its own.

Meet the black American teenager who believes she's actually white, and thus has every right to be racist towards black people

treasure black teen

Yes, her name is 'Treasure'
In a bizarre clip now going viral on social media, a black teen who has had the KKK on speed-dial "since, like, middle school" is shown insulting her own race and insisting she's white.

The 16-year old, identified only by her first name, Treasure, comes off chillingly sincere when she calls her black peers "hood rats" and "monkeys."

"It made me feel good to put down an African American person because it helps them stay in their place," she tells the camera with no visible trace of humor or trolling.

Comment: Notice that, when Dr Phil attempts to make a distinction between biological race and ethnic identity, Treasure insists that there's no distinction to make: she wakes up in the morning and sees a white person in the mirror, and "feels white blood running through my veins..."

This is the 'natural' end result of raising generations of increasingly speshul snowflakes in the narcissistic melting pot that is the United States of America: a complete break with objective reality.

And she'll probably get away with it too, earning speshul dispensation for being explicitly racist towards fellow blacks because it's her speshul right to be so because of her speshul, individual, unique and God-given identity....

I'm an immigrant and Trump represents my thoughts on immigration far better than Democrats do

immigrants swearing in
I am an immigrant and erstwhile Democrat who finds herself thinking that the Trump administration officials are increasingly the adults in the room on immigration policies.

As we've all noticed, the immigration debate changed vastly in the last five, ten, and 20 years. Once upon a time, back in 2014, Hillary Clinton could say, "We have to send a clear message: Just because your child gets across the border doesn't mean your child gets to stay," and not get booted off the stage and out of the Democratic Party.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-New York) said in 2009 that "Illegal immigration is wrong, plain and simple." President Obama in his 2013 State of the Union message declared that "real (immigration) reform" means strong border security, learning English, and "going to the back of the line behind folks trying to come here legally."

So, not too long ago, Democratic leaders talked in rational, truthful ways about immigration. But now many Democratic Party leaders and elected officials espouse open borders, uncontrolled immigration, sanctuary cities, and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and dismiss any proposed immigration restriction as racist, nativist, and xenophobic. What happened? How did the immigration debate change so much, so fast?

The Humvee fell in a wooden area where children play.
US military officials have admitted that a heavy combat vehicle used in conflicts like the Iraq and Afghanistan wars was accidently parachuted into a North Carolina neighborhood, miles away from its intended drop zone.

The four-wheel-drive Humvee, an armored combat vehicle often fitted with gun shields and turrets, reportedly fell from a Boeing C-17 transport plane on Wednesday.

According to local reports, the transport plane took off from Fort Bragg on a training mission. However, the equipment drop test incurred some difficulties and a Humvee was parachuted into Harnett County neighborhood. The Globemaster aircraft is used by the US to transport large military aircraft.

Parents of trans-identifying children send letter to American Academy of Pediatrics begging them to reconsider its one-size-fits-all policy

In child health care, the bond of trust between parents and doctors is critical. But when it comes to the treatment of youth with gender dysphoria, that bond is under a new threat. As part of an investigative series, I have been in touch with an overwhelming number of parents of trans-identifying youth who feel their voices are being shut out by activists.

One online group - with a membership of over 1,000 parents - has written a moving letter to the American Academy of Pediatrics about their recent one-size-fits-all, trans-affirming policy statement. They beg for consideration. They beg for critical thinking. They beg for their children. Here is their response:

In a recording of comments made by Choudary after the meeting, which was obtained by The Sun, he says: "They were so strong in terms of their faith. They would imbibe in anyone a real kind of sense of total reliance in Allah." He added that their contentment was "amazing."

It remains unclear who recorded Choudary.
