The trio was initially approached when playing pool in the pub.
The African Cultural Studies course seeks to teach students to "understand how whiteness is socially constructed and experienced in order to help dismantle white supremacy," according to its online description.
When the course debuted during the spring 2017 semester, it prompted national headlines and much controversy, with some Republican lawmakers even calling for the course to be canceled.
The class this spring may touch on that, based on the fact that its professor created a montage of headlines criticizing the course as its new syllabus cover sheet, its online description shows.
Las Vegas
Three months after Las Vegas experienced the worst mass shooting in modern American history, Sheriff Joseph Lombardo of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) announced there will be an unprecedented number of law enforcement officers on duty during the New Year's celebrations on the Strip.
Lombardo held a news conference Wednesday to detail the new security measures and restrictions that will be in place for three days around New Year's Eve, when an estimated 350,000 tourists are expected to descend on the Strip, according to the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority.
In October, the federal government upgraded the "America's Party 2018" event in Las Vegas from a level two Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) event to a level one event, the highest threat level.
According to QZ.com, in the United States, the requests rose by 26% from the last six months of 2016 to the first six months of 2017, while globally, requests increased by about 21%. Since 2013, when the company first started providing data on government requests, the US number has been steadily rising-it has roughly tripled in a period of four years.
This is alarming many and causing a concern about privacy. Joe Joseph, from the Daily Sheeple, isn't sugarcoating the reality of Facebook either. "Duh. This is exactly what Facebook was designed to do," says Joseph.

The horrifying incident unfolded in the Serpukhov region outside Moscow earlier this month, when a 26-year-old man drove his wife, who had reportedly asked for a divorce, into the forest where, in an apparent fit of sadistic rage, he tortured her for quite some time.
Named as Dmitry Grachev in Russian media, the man tormented 25-year-old Margarita for over an hour. He began by using an axe to break her wrists, then started cutting off her fingers one by one before eventually chopping off both of her hands at the wrist so she could not"pat [their] children anymore."
The majority of Americans agree that non-consensual groping or kissing should be considered sexual harassment, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released Wednesday. However, the poll found that Americans of different genders, races and ages bring diverse opinions to the workplace when it comes to other behaviors.
The December 13-18 poll asked more than 3,000 American adults about eight different hypothetical situations, and whether they should be considered sexual harassment.
Only 38 percent of those polled agreed that "unwanted compliments about your appearance" should be considered sexual harassment, while 47 percent said they should not. However, the poll found that Americans were split when it comes to telling "dirty jokes" in the workplace, with 41 percent agreeing it constitutes sexual harassment, and 44 percent saying it doesn't.

Israel is scared of a girl: Palestinian Ahed Tamimi (R) appears at a military court at the Israeli-run Ofer prison in the West Bank village of Betunia on December 20, 2017
Caspit has certainly felt the heat in response to his insidious suggestions, and probably began fearing not only for his reputation, but possibly for his job, which besides Maariv also includes the respected Al-Monitor. Israeli activist Ofer Neiman tweeted: "He can't have it both ways- writing for a liberal peace-oriented outlet and inciting rape/murder/violence."
Caspit's article was in Hebrew, but now he is trying to backpedal and 'clarify' in English - in a Jerusalem Post article from yesterday.
Caspit titles his piece "Fighting a shaming campaign with the truth", framing himself as a victim who has simply been misunderstood. He describes his 'ordeal':
"Within hours you discover that you've turned into Public Enemy No. 1, a modern day pariah; a man who calls for the rape of young girls and destruction of families; a contemporary Nazi. A rare combination of circumstances, a phrase taken out of context, an inaccurate translation and a great deal of evil intention have planted in your keyboard things you never said, and in your brain, things you never thought. All that is left it to chase after the eternal wind in the cyber willows."
Comment: Indeed, in a civilized society, Caspit would be put in jail for inciting to commit a violent crime - or at least he should be fired and banned from writing or broadcasting in any form via mass media, including the internet. His second article simply confirms what sort of person he is. Not only was he quite clearly suggesting violence or torture against teenage girls, most likely rape, but now we know he is ready to lie and twist the facts in order to save his own skin. He spits venom, and when the world disapproves, in truly psychopathic fashion he plays the victim!
Some Israelis may feel their blood boil because a girl slapped a soldier. The rest of the world feels their blood boil when 'the system' exacts revenge on that girl. Caspit, by the way, is part of that system, and he has played his part.

"There was a bang. Emergency personnel are already on the scene. The evacuation has been completed, and there was no fire," a local Emergencies Ministry official told TASS news agency.
The victims were taken to the accident ward with injuries "of variable severity." One man refused hospitalization.
Officials are treating the investigation as a potential mass homicide attempt and say that the explosion was equivalent to 200g of TNT.
Footage showed multiple medical and police vehicles parked outside the Gigant Hall leisure center, where the Perekrestok supermarket, in which the incident occurred, is located on the ground floor.
There were thousands of visitors inside the shopping complex in the northeast of the Russian city, during what is the busiest time of the year in the run-up to the New Year celebrations.
Comment: Thirteen people were injured - six are still in hospital. The bomber arrived by shuttle bus, pretended to look at merchandise for less than a minute, placed the bomb, then left. CCTV footage shows him entering the store:
Putin called the bombing a terrorist attack:
Putin gave law enforcement officers carte blanche to act decisively and "take no prisoners" if suspected terrorists resist and a police officer's life is threatened. "You know that a terrorist attack was committed yesterday in St. Petersburg. Recently, the FSB [Federal Security Service] thwarted another attempt to commit an act of terrorism. And what would have happened if the thousands [of terrorists] whom I have just mentioned, returned [to Russia] - well trained and armed?" he said.
"I have instructed the director of the Federal Security Service... to act within the framework of the law during detention [of suspected terrorists.] But if there's a threat to a police officer's life and health, our officers need to act decisively, take no prisoners, kill the assailants on the spot."
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Thursday that Putin's words referred to those who plot terrorist attacks in Russia. When asked to specify where the terrorists would be eradicated - in Russia or overseas - Peskov replied: "No, we are talking about those who have plans to carry out terrorist attacks on the territory of our country."
The statement came as Russia's Investigative Committee said all lines of inquiry into how the explosion in St. Petersburg had occurred remained open.

Erica Garner (c.) is in ICU in a Brooklyn hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Virgin Islands Public Safety Minister Steadroy 'Cutie' Benjamin has described the homicides as "vampiric."
The grisly case of a suspected 'vampiric' serial killer who drinks the blood of his victims is continuing as 23-year-old Delano Forbes is charged with the murders of two more victims in the Virgin Islands.
Two water bottles filled with what appeared to be blood were found by police in the vicinity of Forbes' home. Shawn Henry and Lisue 'Dirty' Williams are the latest names to be added to the growing list of Forbes alleged victims.
According to reports, Henry is presumed to have been killed sometime in early May: his body was found with his throat slashed open in an abandoned home. Williams died of similar injuries and was discovered on February 21, outside the Industrial School for the Blind.
