If Sergei and Yulia Skripal survive being poisoned by Novichok nerve agent, they may be left suffering illnesses that ruin their lives - which may be the point of the attack, security experts have warned.

The case of a Russian military scientist accidentally exposed to Novichok appears to show that even surviving the effects of the supertoxic nerve agent is horrific.

Andrei Zheleznyakov was said to have been injected with an antidote almost immediately, but a friend said he still went from being a jovial, creative man to suffering "chronic weakness, toxic hepatitis, epilepsy, severe depression and an inability to concentrate", before dying five years later.

And The Independent has been told that the Salisbury nerve agent attack may have been part of a plan to leave a Mafia-style "calling card" showing anyone, anywhere in the world that if they betrayed or defied Russia, they wouldn't just get a bullet in the back of the head - they would die horribly.

In a recent article published by right leaning, conservative website, The Gateway Pundit entitled, "POTUS Trump Threatens "Animal Assad," Calls Out Putin Over Alleged Chemical Attack In Syria", a large community of readers that has supported Trump, from his election campaign to the White House, saw through the bulls**t Syria chemical weapons false flag.

POTUS Trump is better served listening to his base, otherwise he faces the risk of being swallowed up by the Deep State swamp he promised to drain.

More than 3,000 Jaysh al-Islam militants and their family members have been evacuated from Douma in the Damascus suburb of Eastern Ghouta, as part of Russia-brokered deal which saw the militants' prisoners being released.

The Russian Defense Ministry has been broadcasting live footage from the Muhayam al-Wafideen checkpoint in Eastern Ghouta on Monday, where the mass withdrawal of militants from the town of Douma is currently underway. Dozens of buses with militants and their family members have already headed out for the northern part of Syria's Aleppo Province.

The relocation of militants began late on Sunday, with "3005 fighters and their family members withdrawing by now," the Reconciliation Center said. Up to 8,000 fighters and around 40,000 of their family members are expected to be relocated from Douma, the Russian military said earlier.

Anthony Borges, who was shot five times to protect his classmates, condemned Broward County authorities in a statement upon being released from the hospital.
Anthony Borges, a student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, was released from the hospital on Friday.

Borges was shot five times during the massacre. According to reports, he was shot while barricading a classroom door to protect his classmates from the killer, who tragically took the lives of 17 people at the school.

But upon his release on Friday, Borges had one heck of a message for Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel and his school district's leaders.

On March 30, 2018 the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) committed cold-blooded murder in Gaza. Thousands of unarmed Palestinians marched peacefully to protest the occupation and declare their right to return to their homeland. The Great Return March was met with gunfire and 18 people died.

The killings were caught on camera but the response from the United States, its allies and their friends in corporate media reveal as much as any photography ever will. The massacre was either disappeared as if it never took place, or was described as a "clash." The BBC, CNN, the New York Times and the rest of their cohort used this word which implies some equality in defense capability when one side, the one with the dead people, was completely unarmed.

The media covered up for Washington's friends and politicians were silent. Bernie Sanders' mealy mouthed response was one of the few to be heard. He called the shootings "tragic" and said that the IDF "over reacted." Crediting him with these weasel words is damning with faint praise but this minimal response is not surprising given the degree of Israeli influence in American politics.

In case you missed it, a DIY rocket scientist named Mike Hughes recently launched a homemade rocket over the California desert as part of an ongoing mission to prove that the Earth is flat, becoming the latest celebrity in the recently resurgent flat Earth movement.

Despite prominent scientists like Neil Degrasse Tyson explaining in detail how to prove that the Earth is indeed a globe, many still believe that the Earth looks more like a snow globe-a flat disc covered by hemispherical atmosphere.

The question is why-and a new survey by YouGov may have found the answer.

According to the poll, which took responses from 8,215 people, around 2 percent of Americans believe the Earth is flat.

On top of that, 5 percent of those surveyed have always thought the world was round, but now have doubts.

Gas prices could hit their highest level in years this summer, just as drivers hit the road.
Americans are spending more at the pump than they have in years. Prices could rise even higher just as drivers hit the road for family vacations.

"This summer, in terms of average gas prices, will likely be the highest since 2014," said Patrick DeHaan, petroleum analyst at GasBuddy, a fuel-tracking app. "There's been very little question about that."

Crude prices have jumped thanks to continuing production cuts by major exporters. As a result, gasoline is also becoming more expensive. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, average regular retail gas prices reached $2.70 a gallon last week-the highest level since 2015.

While higher fuel prices could herald an end to the glut that has plagued the energy market since 2014, they also threaten to dampen demand and hit consumers in their pocketbooks.

I cannot imagine the cold courage it must take to be a Palestinian, walking in protest, unarmed, towards the fence that contains the agony of their long drawn-out genocide, in the knowledge that the bullets will start splintering bones and ripping out brain matter around them, and every millisecond could be their own last.

I cannot imagine the cold viciousness it must take to work on the Guardian newspaper, where on the homepage the small headline of the latest six Palestinians to be shot dead, is way below the larger headline of the several hundredth article associating Jeremy Corbyn with anti-Semitism, on the basis of the quite deliberate conflation of anti-Semitism with criticism of Israel.

New California bill, Proposition SB-1424, would essentially make the state king of what you see and what is considered fact.

Key points from the bill :
(a) Any person who operates a social media Internet Web site with physical presence in California shall develop a strategic plan to verify news stories shared on its Internet Web site.

(b) The strategic plan shall include, but is not limited to, all of the following:
(1) A plan to mitigate the spread of false information through news stories.
(2) The utilization of fact-checkers to verify news stories.
(3) Providing outreach to social media users regarding news stories containing false information.
(4) Placing a warning on a news story containing false information.
(c) As used in this section, "social media" means an electronic service or account, or electronic content, including, but not limited to, videos, still photographs, blogs, video blogs, podcasts, instant and text messages, email, online services or accounts, or Internet Web site profiles or locations.

Comment: That people are even thinking this way is extremely scary. What does this say for freedom of the press, free enterprise, rights of the individual... Venezuela and Russia discuss using petro for international payments

The talks are being held amid a Russian-Venezuelan high-level commission taking place in Caracas.

Russian and Venezuelan officials are discussing the use of the South American country's new cryptocurrency, the Petro, for international transactions, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, Venezuela's Sectoral Vice President of Economy said Monday. The discussions about the Petro, which Russian officials are interested investing in, emerged during a round of talks between the two countries taking place in Caracas.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro had previously announced plans to create four economic zones using the Petro. He has also stated his country's intent to use the Petro to complete property sales, as well as the procurement in public works.

Russian and Venezuelan officials are also discussing bilateral cooperation related to railroad projects in the South American country, agricultural matters, health and the military. The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry also reported that the agenda includes talks about the strategic alliance between Russian energy firm Rosneft and Venezuela's Petroleos de Venezuela S.A., or PDVSA, and the possibility of building mining industry equipment.

The cryptocurrency is the first of its kind released by a country and based on natural resources. It generated sales of over five billion dollars during its pre-sale period and had recorded over 186,000 certified purchases. The sale of the Petro has also significantly strengthened the country's foreign reserves amid increased international aggression.

Comment: Bravo to Venezuela for finding a lucretive way out from under Western influence and sanctions.
