Society's Child
There exists a prevailing logic on the modern college campus that anything goes as long as it is "consensual". Such attitudes fail our youth and create what I would call a culture of sexual self-harm. Consent while obviously necessary in all cases should not be the gold moral standard for sexual activity. We all know too well that increasingly many young men and indeed some young women view the opposite sex as mere objects for their own sexual gratification, a means to a sexual end. As the saying goes; "men use love to get sex and women use sex to get love". But this is not genuine love, it is exploitation plain and simple. Love is to will the best in the other, what's best is not short-term gratification but rather long-term commitment, i.e. unconditional unwavering love (typically to be found within marriage).
UK Prime Minister Theresa May spoke to the press at Downing Street at the weekend, following the strikes against Syria in joint action with the US and France. "While the full assessment of the strike is ongoing, we are confident of its success," she said.
On Saturday, May defended her "grave" decision to join the US-led strike against Syria without MPs' consent. She maintained that the military action was "right and legal" and sends a message to "others."
Speaking at the United Nations Security Council on Saturday, Britain's UN ambassador, Karen Pierce, laid out the UK's legal justification for their airstrikes on Syria. Pierce claimed that under international law the UK is allowed to take measures in order to "alleviate overwhelming humanitarian suffering."
The UK government also published the legal position online. It says that three conditions have to be met to justify the intervention.
First, there has to be convincing evidence of extreme humanitarian distress on a large scale. Importantly, this must also be "generally accepted by the international community as a whole."
Comment: While both parties in the UK government and propaganda journalists may tiptoe around the war crimes committed by the coalition, the internet, as well as people on the street, are more capable of critical thinking:

It is important to note that there have been conflicting reports about the children that he was found with, with some sources saying that two boys were found in his home, and other sources suggesting that it was two girls.
The most up-to-date information seems to be on the Wikipedia page for Dalglish, which suggests that there were two girls found in his home and that the allegations involving the two boys are part of a separate investigation. If this is the case, Dalglish will be facing additional charges.
Dalglish, 60, is a citizen of Canada who travels the world working with children. Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police (CIB) told Global News that Dalglish "is being investigated for child sexual exploitation abuse."

Independent Middle East Correspondent Robert Fisk in one of the miles of tunnels hacked beneath Douma by prisoners of Syrian rebels
This is the story of a town called Douma, a ravaged, stinking place of smashed apartment blocks -- and of an underground clinic whose images of suffering allowed three of the Western world's most powerful nations to bomb Syria last week. There's even a friendly doctor in a green coat who, when I track him down in the very same clinic, cheerfully tells me that the 'gas' videotape which horrified the world - despite all the doubters - is perfectly genuine.
War stories, however, have a habit of growing darker. For the same 58-year-old senior Syrian doctor then adds something profoundly uncomfortable: the patients, he says, were overcome not by gas but by oxygen starvation in the rubbish-filled tunnels and basements in which they lived, on a night of wind and heavy shelling that stirred up a dust storm.
As Dr Assim Rahaibani announces this extraordinary conclusion, it is worth observing that he is by his own admission not an eye witness himself and, as he speaks good English, he refers twice to the jihadi gunmen of Jaish el-Islam [the Army of Islam] in Douma as "terrorists" - the regime's word for their enemies, and a term used by many people across Syria. Am I hearing this right? Which version of events are we to believe?
The controversial American/English/French coalitions missile strikes in Syria last night have resulted in minimal damage to the Syrian army, as ZeroHedge overviews.
According to Russian and Syrian media, Out of the 103 Tomahawk Missiles utilized by coalition forces against the Syrian army targets, 71 were successfully deflected by the Syrian army using outdated 30 year old Soviet era anti aircraft systems.
The state media reported that three Syrians were injured by the strikes, with no military personnel killed. The Dumeir military airfield, one of the coalition targets, emerged completely unharmed.
Once in lock-step, the UK has seemingly been leapfrogged by France as the US' 'special' friend, with the French providing significantly more military support than the British in Donald Trump's recent attack on Syria.
While Prime Minister Theresa May sought to highlight Britain's military might by declaring, following the attack, that she was confident the strikes had been a "success," little was said about the diminished role played by UK forces in the operation. Ongoing cuts to the Ministry of Defense (MoD) meant the UK's equipment was either too old or too weak to be involved.

On April 4, documents obtained by a group suing Harvard University demonstrated that the university's admissions process has been discriminating against Asian applicants for decades.
As discussed in a complaint filed by 64 Asian-American organizations in 2015, affirmative action requires the SAT scores of Asian applicants to be hundreds of points higher than applicants from other ethnic backgrounds. It has reached a point where mixed-raced Asian applicants will choose to hide their Asian heritage when they apply to Ivy League schools.
The case echoes discrimination documented by former YouTube recruiter, Arne Wilberg, in a recent lawsuit against its parent company, Google. In the suit, Mr. Wilberg alleges that Google implemented diversity quotas that favoured female, Hispanic or black applicants, and discriminated against white and Asian men. Mr. Wilberg contends he was fired for challenging these illegal practices.
RT Arabic correspondents have visited one of the main targets of the US-led missile attack on Syria, the Scientific Studies and Research Center in the Barzeh district in northern Damascus. The three-story building was pelted with 57 Tomahawk missiles launched from US warships and 19 air-to-surface missiles, the Pentagon said.
The massive bombardment left it lying in ruins, with its walls and roof almost completely collapsed and lab equipment scattered around.
Comment: There is no 'chem mystery' here. The West would rather bomb innocent facilities than read repetitious yearly reports by the OPCW inspectors and abide by their findings.
It has been the longstanding position of President Donald Trump that Comey is a liar. Trump fired Comey in the midst of the FBI's investigation into Russia's involvement in the 2016 presidential election and has disparaged him ever since. Comey is highly respected by the rank and file of the FBI, the most esteemed law enforcement agency in the United States.
The RNC has apparently taken Trump's personal loyalty pledge - the one Comey says he refused to take when asked by the President. But there's no escape hatch for the rest of the Republican Party if Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe exposes the President as the serial liar, and potentially worse. (The Washington Post has already chronicled 2,001 lies the President told in his first year in office.)

Comment: According to Media Bias/Fact Check:
The purpose of the site is to analyze news about former FBI director James Comey under four categories WHAT THEY SAID, WATCH ,CHECK TWITTER, and CHECK THE FACTS.
News of this website has led to other media outlets to report about it. According to the right biased Fox News: "The Republican National Committee launched an aggressive campaign to paint fired FBI Director James Comey as a liar, just days before the airing of his first interview since he was cut loose and shortly before the release next week of his tell-all memoir."
Left biased Vox had this to say: "It constitutes a fairly unprecedented high-profile presidential attack on a private citizen. It is also deeply rooted in multilayered bad faith."
In review, the Lyin' Comey websites' sole purpose is to produce propaganda that will discredit James Comey before and after the release of his new book entitled: A Higher Loyalty, which is said to be critical of President Trump. At this point the website is very new and has minimal content with most focusing on negative things Democrats said about Comey before he was fired by President Trump.
Lyin' Comey utilizes bold headlines such as "Wrongly Fired? James Comey is portrayed as an innocent victim fired by President Trump." However, when you scroll down you see quotes from Democrats who suggested Comey did not do a good job: Nancy Pelosi suggested shortly after the election that Comey was 'not in the right job'." The website then directs you to click for more facts and directs you to the factually mixed GOP.com. This website is new and more content will be added as they have promised to fact check and refute claims in Comey's new book. This source will require fact checking.
Overall, we rate LYIN' COMEY Right Biased and Mixed for factual reporting based on poor sources and publishing of quotes without full context. (M. Huitsing 4/12/2018)
