Australia's prime minister is imposing a ban on all sexual relationships between ministers and their staff after the deputy PM's affair with his adviser was exposed when she became pregnant.

Malcolm Turnbull announced the ban following the scandal which erupted after the Sydney Daily Telegraph published a front-page photograph, essentially exposing Deputy PM Barnaby Joyce's relationship with his former media adviser Vikki Campion. Barnaby, who was also leader of the National Party and married for 24 years, made a "shocking error of judgment", created a "world of woe" for the women in his life and "appalled all of us," said Turnbull.

This latest act of cultural genocide in Ukraine is being committed against a Monastery of the legitimate Ukrainian Orthodox Church which is lead by a US citizen, Archimandrite Gideon, who was decorated as a former US Navy chaplain according to the Union of Orthodox Journalists.

The head of IAF Air Division, Brig. Gen. Amnon Ein Dar said Sunday the IDF has carried out thousands of missions in Syria in the last year alone.

Speaking from the Tel Nof Airbase, Ein Dar also noted the IAF was learning from Saturday's events, which began with the interception of an Iranian drone in Israeli territory followed by an IAF attack in Syria and the subsequent shooting down of an Israel F-16 plane.

Ein Dar said the IAF jets struck deep inside Syrian territory. During their mission, a large number of anti-aircraft missiles were directed at them and one hit its target, or near the target, forcing the pilots to bail.

"In this instance, our aircraft was hit; we are of course unsatisfied and we will study the incident and learn for the future," he told Ynet in an interview.

Under Obama's admin, millions of federal money for clean coal spent on alcohol, limousines & spas

Millions of dollars intended for a clean power initiative were spent on alcohol, spas, jets and lobbying, an audit shows. The perks clearly did not help much, as the project's company has since filed for bankruptcy.

Under former President Barack Obama's administration, the Department of Energy awarded a $1.7 cooperation agreement to Summit Texas Clean Energy, which was supposed to develop technology for a carbon capture and storage project. The department covered $450 million of the costs, which is now being questioned.

The project incurred $2.5 million in expenditures that were potentially "unallowable," in addition to over $1.2 million in lobbying costs and $1.3 million in "questionable" travel-related expenses, according to a report released Tuesday.

There were $650,000 in charges for a spa service, alcohol, first-class travel, limousine services, receipts in foreign currency and business meals that were prohibited or were not fully substantiated.

NBC exposes twisted world of Russian Twitter trolls who are anti-Russia

NBC News has made its big contribution to Russiagate by publishing 200,000 tweets reportedly posted by "Russian trolls." Nevermind the fact that many are unrelated to politics, and some even hate on Russia.

On Wednesday, the news network published the database in an apparent effort to provide a bizarre service to its readers and add to its overwhelming coverage of alleged "Russian meddling."

"Twitter doesn't make it easy to track Russian propaganda efforts - this database can help," the news agency wrote on their website.

Comment: NBC obviously didn't think this one through, but that's just more of the same for their typical reporting.

Michael Lynk, the special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory said; "...Israel detains and prosecutes between 500 to 700 Palestinian children in military courts annually."
Israel is violating the international Convention on the Rights of the Child by detaining a Palestinian teenager for slapping an Israeli soldier, UN human rights experts said on Tuesday.

After an incident in which she slapped an Israeli soldier, Ahed Tamimi, 17, appeared before an Israeli military court on Tuesday.

The UN experts called for her release, saying that future hearings should be held in strict accordance with international legal standards.

"The Convention on the Rights of the Child, which Israel has ratified, clearly states that children are to be deprived of their liberty only as a last resort, and only for the shortest appropriate period of time," said Michael Lynk, the special rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967.

UK claims Russian military responsible for global cyberattack, no evidence provided

The British government says Russia was behind the massive 'NotPetya' cyberattack that crippled computer networks of global multinationals last summer. Moscow has denied the accusation.

"We categorically reject such accusations, we consider them unsubstantiated and groundless. This is nothing more than the continuation of the Russophobic campaign lacking any evidence,"presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told journalists on Thursday.

With no specific evidence provided for the allegations, UK intelligence claimed that the Russian military was responsible for the attack, citing a statement by Britain's Foreign Office. According to the document, the UK decided to publicly charge Russia to show neither London nor its allies "will not tolerate malicious cyber activity."

Comment: The West has yet to provide any evidence for the continual claims of Russian hacking. You would think if there was any truth at all to these allegations that at some point there would be at least something the West could show as substantive evidence. Their continual baseless claims just chip away at any remaining credibility they have left, which really isn't much at all.

In Riyadh meetings this week between Saudi and Russian officials, major energy deals were sealed, changing the regional constellation dramatically. At the same time, the geopolitical shift of the century now starts to bear fruit.

Russia has directly offered to invest in the upcoming Aramco IPO, supporting the efforts of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) to diversify the economy of the kingdom. During the meetings, not only new Saudi investment deals in Russia were sealed, but also the commitment of several Russian investment parties in the Aramco IPO.

After weeks of receiving a hell of a beating in the press (analysts started to doubt that it would ever happen), not only positive news has come from the NYSE and LSE, but also - as expected - from Russian institutions.

'Industrial scale child molester': Pedophile football coach convicted of abusing young players

Football coach Barry Bennell, described as a "child molester on an industrial scale," has been convicted of 50 counts of child sex abuse against 11 victims in a case involving allegations of abuse against dozens of children.

The final verdict of Bennell's latest case was delivered on Thursday, and related to crimes against youth players at Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra in North West England over a near 25-year period.

An additional 86 complainants are understood to have come forward since November 2016, police revealed. He has previously received three jail terms for similar offences.

The 64-year-old Bennell, who was described as having "almost an insatiable appetite" for young boys, will be sentenced on Monday at Liverpool Crown Court. It is expected he will spend the rest of his life in prison.

The parent company behind the centralized and third-largest cryptocurrency, Ripple, will work in the banking system of the oil-rich Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the firm claims.

Saudi Arabia and Ripple, the company behind the XRP coin, will cooperate by using xCurrent, software that enables banks to instantly settle cross-border payments with end-to-end tracking.

"Central banks around the world are leaning into blockchain technology in recognition of how it can transform cross-border payments, resulting in lower barriers to trade and commerce for both corporates and consumers," said Dilip Rao, Ripple's global head of infrastructure innovation.
