Microsoft founder Bill Gates brushed away "crazy" conspiracy theories about himself, 5G and coronavirus vaccines during an 'Ask Me Anything' session on Reddit, where he promoted his new book and sung the praises of synthetic meat.

Gates fielded questions from Redditors during the online Q&A on Friday, doing his best to hawk his latest volume on climate change in the process. However, it didn't take long before netizens pressed him on conspiracy-minded allegations that he is involved in a shadowy plot to implant microchips in unwitting vaccine recipients.

"I am innocent!" Gates protested, adding "The whole thing about 5G and microchips is pretty crazy. Why would I want to do that?"

Gates later said "fake news" and "disinformation" online is a "huge issue," observing that "Some false information is more interesting than the truth so digital channels seem to magnify echo chambers with bad facts."

Comment: Global warming? Brrrr! Global population up to ten billion people? Perhaps not.

'Finished with the bluffing': Jewish National Fund goes public with its aid to settlers

JNF box

For decades, Jews around the world have cherished the Jewish National Fund's supposedly "charitable" work buying and managing land in Israel. Generations of Jewish children have been encouraged to drop pennies into its iconic blue collection boxes.

The Fund is held in similar high esteem by western governments, which typically subsidize their citizens' donations to the JNF by treating them as tax exempt. Meanwhile, international agencies seek out its advice on environmental and sustainability issues.

But a vote last month by the JNF's board threatens to unmask the Zionist charity, even to its most faithful supporters. For the first time, the organization has agreed to publicly allocate funds to expand Israel's illegal Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.

$12 million set aside

The JNF has initially set aside nearly $12 million for what it describes as "land purchases" in the occupied West Bank. In reality, the JNF will be funding the confiscation and takeover of Palestinian lands by Israel's occupation authorities.

According to reports, the JNF may ultimately funnel hundreds of millions of dollars from its reserves into the West Bank in a bid to more than double the size of the settler population there - from at least 450,000 to one million Jews.

Analysts have noted that the KKL-JNF - as the organization is known in Israel - is being rapidly reinvented as a "bank" for right-wing politicians. They want to use its enormous reserves to entrench the government's de facto annexation policy by helping the settlers tighten their hold on the West Bank.

Domestic violent extremists 'will almost certainly' attempt violence in 2021, intelligence community warns

Domestic violent extremists will "almost certainly" attempt violence this year, and racially motivated extremists are "most likely to conduct mass-casualty attacks against civilians," the intelligence community warned in a report released on Wednesday.

Jointly signed by the Director of National Intelligence, Department of Homeland Security and the Justice Department, the single-page executive summary in an unclassified version of a longer report found that militia groups typically target law enforcement and government personnel and facilities. The report states:
"Newer sociopolitical developments — such as narratives of fraud in the recent general election, the emboldening impact of the violent breach of the U.S. Capitol, conditions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and conspiracy theories promoting violence — will almost certainly spur some [domestic violent extremists] to try to engage in violence this year."
White supremacist, neo-Nazi and other groups have cropped up frequently among the hundreds of criminal cases charged in the wake of the Jan. 6th siege.

'Nothing else explains it': Norwegian scientists say AstraZeneca DID cause blood clots; British and Dutch experts dismiss theory

vaccine

Norwegian scientists have linked the AstraZeneca vaccine and blood clots - a condition seen in some people that led countries around the world to halt its use. But British and Dutch medics say there's no evidence for such a link.

"The cause of our patients' condition has now been found," Pal Andre Holme, the head of a research group at the Oslo University Hospital, told Norway's VG media outlet. He was referring to the cases of three health workers under the age of 50 who suffered from severe blood clotting after receiving the AstraZeneca jab. One of the medics then died on Monday.

The clotting in those patients was triggered by a very specific "strong immune response" likely caused as a result of the AstraZeneca jab, Holme explained. In collaboration with the University Hospital of North Norway, Holme's team detected specific antibodies that "activate" platelets and in some cases can lead to blood clots.

Asked by VG if the vaccine was the "most likely" cause of this specific immune response, Holme said he believes "there is no other thing" in the history of the three individual patients which would generate such a response. None of the three patients had a history of similar health issues before, he said. "I am pretty sure it is these antibodies that are the cause and I see no other reason than that it is the vaccine that triggers them."

Comment: Big pharma's clout and message control is running full steam to protect its asset, versus pursuing increasingly factual evidence of a swift and deadly result for a portion of the population.

Denmark also reports vaccine issues resulting in blood clots:
Denmark said on Saturday that one person had died and another fell seriously ill with blood clots and cerebral haemorrhage after receiving the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination.

The two, both hospital staff members, had both received the AstraZeneca vaccine less than 14 days before getting ill, the authority that runs public hospitals in Copenhagen said. The Danish Medicines Agency confirmed it had received two "serious reports", without giving further details. There were no details of when the hospital staff got ill.

Denmark, which halted using the AstraZeneca vaccine on March 11, was among more than a dozen countries that temporarily paused use of the vaccine after a small number of reports of cases of rare brain blood clots sent scientists and governments scrambling to determine any link.

Some countries including Germany and France this week reversed their decision to suspend use of the vaccine following an investigation into the reports of blood clots by the European Union's drug watchdog, which said on Thursday it is still convinced the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks.

European Medicines Agency (EMA) director Emer Cooke said on Thursday the watchdog could not definitively rule out a link between blood clot incidents and the vaccine in its investigation. But she said the "clear" conclusion of the review was that the benefits in protecting people from the risk of death or hospitalisation outweighs the possible risks. The issue deserves further analysis, the EMA said.

The EMA's review covering 20 million people in the UK and the European Economic Area (EEA), which links 30 European countries, included seven cases of blood clots in multiple blood vessels and 18 cases of a rare condition that is difficult to treat called cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST).

Canadian father, jailed for fighting to block gender transition of his child denied bail

father fight transition daughter Robert Hoogland

Vancouver court building, (inset) Robert Hoogland
A father who is fighting in the family courts for the right to speak publicly in opposition to the medical and social gender transition of his child was denied bail in a hearing at Vancouver Supreme Court on Friday.

The court found him in contempt of previous orders which sought to restrain his speech with regard to the medical and social gender transition of his child by medical and legal authorities. The father opposes this process on the grounds that it is causing irreversible physical and psychological harm to his child.

This process of seeking to defend his child from iatrogenic medical harm — ordinarily something we would associate with positive parenting — has been characterised as "family violence" and harassment by the court and by the child's trans rights activist legal advisers.

MSNBC analyst Malcolm Nance needs to get a grip
MSNBC regular Malcolm Nance has suggested that Donald Trump Jr. tweeting a parody video of his father using a golf ball to make Joe Biden fall on the steps to Air Force One "mainstreams the potential for danger."

Following Biden's already infamous falling spell on the steps to Air Force One this week, a parody video was quickly made and spread around social media that humorously shows former President Donald Trump to be the culprit behind the physical blunder after he hits a golf ball a tad too far.

Comment: Indeed, Nance's media track record is littered with left-wing nuttery:

FBI releases 10 videos of 'most egregious' attacks on Capitol Police officers

Capitol Hill riot captured on January 6, 2021
The FBI on Thursday released 10 new videos that the bureau said show the "most egregious attacks on law enforcement" at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

In the videos, rioters can be seen punching and beating Capitol Police officers, as well as spraying them with some kind of chemical substance.

"It has been two months since our nation's Capitol has been breached by violent extremists who sought to disrupt our democratic process," said Steven D'Antuono, assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington Field Office, asking for help in identifying perpetrators.

Comment: The Hill reports Proud Boys members are being charged with conspiracy over Capitol riot
Four members of the Proud Boys have been indicted on conspiracy charges in connection with the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to a grand jury indictment unsealed Friday.

The indictment alleges that Proud Boys leader Ethan Nordean, who goes by "Rufio Panman," Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Charles Donohoe conspired to halt the certification of President Biden's Electoral College win and to obstruct and interfere with law enforcement protecting the Capitol.

The 18-page indictment outlines a timeline going back to early November, when the four Proud Boys leaders began posting on social media about a stolen election, to actively fundraising for equipment in December, as well as their involvement on Jan. 6.

The indictment says that the group obtained "paramilitary gear and supplies" like concealed tactical vests and radio equipment for the Jan. 6 attack. The group allegedly raised $5,500 between Dec. 30 and Jan. 4 through an online fundraiser titled "Travel Expenses for upcoming Patriot Events."

The indictment further alleges that the group used handled radios and encrypted messaging applications to communicate and coordinate the attack. A channel on an encrypted messaging app called "Boots on the Ground" had more than 60 users, including the four suspects.

The indictment also states that the group sought to "nuke" an encrypted communication channel after they grew worried that their communications would be intercepted by law enforcement after Proud Boys Chairman Enrique Tarrio was arrested on Jan. 4 for ripping a "Black Lives Matter" sign off of a historically Black church in D.C.

More than 300 people have been arrested in the riot, which resulted in five deaths, and federal prosecutors said on Friday that at least 100 more are expected to be charged. The first conspiracy charges were handed to leaders of the paramilitary group the Oath Keepers.
Let it be noted that John Sullivan, known Antifa agitator, has faced no charges whatsoever. Strange, isn't it?

Pressure has mounted in the election run-up on Netanyahu, who is on trial for corruption and accused by critics of mismanaging the coronavirus pandemic

Thousands of Israelis demonstrated outside the residence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem on Saturday, calling for an end to his leadership just three days before the country's fourth election in two years, reports Reuters.

Protesters filed through streets closed to traffic by police, waving flags, banging drums, blowing horns and shouting chants to replace the 71-year-old conservative.

Lockdown protests erupt across Europe and Canada, police greet crowds in riot gear

Amsterdam police deployed two water cannons and officers in riot gear to prevent an unpermitted protest against Covid-19 restrictions, ultimately making the crowd leave the area.

The anti-lockdown rally gathered on Saturday in Amsterdam's Museumplein, a green open space named for the three national museums located in the area. The protest took place without a permit from the municipality, so the police declared Museumplein a security risk area, threatening a possible crackdown on those gathering there. This didn't stop a large crowd of activists from coming and mingling with ordinary people, who frequently hang out at the museum neighborhood on weekends.

Some of the protesters were dressed in medical garb or military uniforms, though more exotic outfits were also seen.

With lockdowns being reimplemented throughout Europe in a suspiciously coordinated fashion, yet again, we can expect that the discontent and the numbers will only continue to grow; that would also explain why a number of countries have been concocting bills that give the security forces, tasked with cracking down on these crowds and other dissidents, ever more draconian powers:

Germany weighs longer COVID lockdown amid 'exponential' rise

masks silhouette

German experts warn there may be many severe cases and deaths, and hospitals that are overwhelmed
Germany may not be able to relax lockdown measures in the run-up to Easter, the country's health minister said on Friday.

Jens Spahn made his comments as Germany's Robert Koch Institute (RKI) for infectious diseases warned that case numbers were rising at a "very clearly exponential rate."

"The rising case numbers may mean that we are unable to take any further steps towards opening up in the weeks to come. On the contrary, we may even have to take steps backwards," Spahn said.

Health authorities say highly contagious variants have driven up case numbers in the EU's biggest country, which is entering a third wave of the disease.
