Anonymous forum 8chan is back online after rebranding itself as 8kun

8chan is back, with a new name.
It is migrating boards from the old site, with one notable absence.

Anonymous internet forum 8chan has resurfaced under the name 8kun after going offline in early August, in the wake of a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas. The forum's return, as earlier reported by Gizmodo, was hinted at last month when the 8chan Twitter account revealed the new name.

The 8chan Twitter account noted over the weekend that it would continue to migrate boards from the old site, with 63 public ones active as of early Monday.

Jim Watkins, the owner of 8kun and 8chan, uploaded a video to YouTube on Saturday. In the video, Watkins said 8kun's traffic was already higher than expected.

"It is a fantastic amount of users who attempted to access at one time," he said in the video. "Although I expect setbacks and attacks, it is almost to the point already where no one man, corporation or government will be able to stifle us. Until that surprising trumpet sounds, it is likely that this movement will become unstoppable."

Comment: Some more on the rebranding from RT:
The site has long been embroiled in controversy related to users posting neo-Nazi and other extremist ideological content, as well as child pornography and the manifestos of several recent, high-profile mass shooters, the reason for which it was shut down in August 2019. Despite this, it once ranked among the top 4,000 most-visited sites in the world.

The one-time bastion of free speech has introduced a highly important change to its terms of use: "Anything considered illegal in the United States will be removed."

During testimony before US Congress, Watkins vowed not to remove so-called (but ill-defined) hate speech, but insisted that no illegal speech (under US law), that explicitly calls for violence, would be allowed on the platform.

"My company has no intention of deleting constitutionally protected hate speech. I feel the remedy for this type of speech is counter-speech, and I'm certain that this is the view of the American justice system."

Since relaunching, the site has reportedly experienced a myriad of problems owing to spikes in traffic as well as targeted cyberattacks.

In the wake of the mass shootings in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio in August, the site was taken down when internet infrastructure provider Cloudflare withdrew its content delivery network (CDN) service.

El Paso shooter 21-year-old Patrick Crusius posted his anti-immigrant manifesto there shortly before his shooting spree while the livestream footage of the Christchurch terrorist attack was also posted to the subform and shared repeatedly.

James O'Keefe of Project Veritas teases bombshell Jeffrey Epstein leak (UPDATE)

#epsteincoverup epstein
On Monday, James O'Keefe of Project Veritas dropped a bomb on Twitter when he teased an upcoming video release regarding Jeffrey Epstein's mysterious death.

Project Veritas is responsible for uncovering corruption within the Democratic party and the mainstream media through undercover camera footage where they build trust with high level Democrats and whistleblowers and reveal the mass corruption that is taking place.

Just last month, they released video footage provided by a CNN whistleblower who uncovered CNN's strong political bias against conservatives as well as certain Democrats.

Comment: Project Veritas' releases have been hit and miss, sometimes revealing big secrets with far-ranging implications, other times revealing what people basically already knew. But they're always accompanied by a lot of hype before the big reveal. It remains to be seen whether or not these secret insider video recordings live up to the publicity. Fingers crossed.

UPDATE from Summit News:
James O'Keefe Activates "Deadman Switch" Before Release of Epstein Cover-Up Footage
November 5, 2019

Suggests he has received threats from "very powerful people."

Project Veritas head James O'Keefe has activated a "deadman switch" before the release of new footage about a cover-up surrounding the death of Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting he has received threats from "very powerful people."

In a phone call with Alex Jones, O'Keefe said that his tweet about the deadman switch was not a joke, suggesting that Project Veritas had received threats not to make the information public.

"Before his tragic suicide sometime tomorrow morning, I knew @JamesOKeefeIII and admired his work," tweeted Jeremy Boering, to which O'Keefe responded, "Deadman switch activated."

O'Keefe confirmed the legitimacy of this tweet when he told Jones, "Yes we do in fact tomorrow morning have new video of Epstein cover-up, people in very high levels involved in this, we have the video tape."

"They don't know that they're being recorded, we're publishing it tomorrow - people have asked 'what about that deadman switch tweet?'"

"I take our security very very seriously, we have a lot of people in Project Veritas involved in this story and I just meant that whatever happens we're gonna publish the story tomorrow morning...and we've gotten the attention of some very powerful people," said O'Keefe.

The Epstein bombshell drops at 9am EST.

'Americans have no rights of any kind against police': Colorado homeowner tells RT after being denied payout for house destroyed by cops

Police have to be held accountable, a heartbroken Denver area homeowner said after a court ruled he was not entitled to compensation for his house getting destroyed during an operation to detain a suspected armed robber.

In June 2015, police surrounded Leo Lech's property in Greenwood Village, which he was renting to his son. They were looking for a suspect who had robbed a store and fired at the officers as he was fleeing.

The suspect was detained after a 19-hour standoff, but the house where he was hiding was rendered inhabitable by the military-grade weapons used by the law enforcement, Lech told RT.

"A single armed gunman. He had a handgun and he just randomly ran into our neighborhood and he started opening up the garage door," Lech recalled. The response from the police was completely disproportionate, as "two armored vehicles" and "over 100 officers" were called to the scene.

Remembering Judge Meir Shamgar, chief architect of Israel's apartheid system

Still of Meir Shamgar from "The Law in These Parts"
Meir Shamgar, former president of the Israeli Supreme Court who passed away on October 19, was described by Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as one who "has played an important role in shaping Israel's legal foundations, including the legal policy in Judea and Samaria." Netanyahu is right. Judge Shamgar was the chief architect of the Israeli legal regime of occupation, settlement construction, and apartheid. More specifically, he is responsible for the removal of judicial impediments to war crimes.

Judge Shamgar's main influence was in denying Palestinians the protections that international law affords to human beings under occupation, leading to Israel's deepening of the occupation in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

As far as Judge Shamgar was concerned, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank are 'possessed territories', which means that Palestinians residing in these territories are not entitled to human beings' rights under occupation, nor are they entitled to Israeli citizenship. Thus, Judge Shamgar fashioned a law of denied occupation, one which amounts to apartheid.

Consumer giants Heinz and Unilever under fire for advertising on Pornhub

Heinz ran a controversial ad on Pornhub earlier this year.
Two of the world's largest consumer goods retailers are in damage control mode after walking into a maelstrom of controversy for running advertising campaigns on Pornhub.

Unilever and Kraft Heinz, who own a raft of popular brands, ran ads on the leading porn website earlier this year.

Unilever ran a campaign for its Dollar Shave Club grooming company, which delivers razor blades and other cosmetic products through the mail. "If you use our bathroom products you won't have to visit this site as much," one of the cheeky ads claimed.

Dollar Shave Club's creative director Matt Knapp said it advertised on the porn behemoth because it "has guys' backs." "It's not expensive, but interestingly, the exposure that you can get and the impressions are huge," he told the marketing journal Mi3 in August.

Request by 12 Scottish MPs for decriminalization of personal use drug possession blocked by Home Office

Glasgow

Proposals to introduce drug consumption rooms in Glasgow have been blocked
The possession of illicit drugs for personal use should be decriminalised, a report by MPs has said.

The Scottish Affairs Committee also recommended the UK government should back safe consumption rooms in Scotland in a bid to tackle drug misuse.

Drug-related deaths in Scotland reached an all-time high of 1,187 last year.

The Home Office said it had no plans to decriminalise drug possession and that doing so would not eliminate crime associated with the illicit drug trade.

All UK drugs misuse legislation is currently reserved to Westminster.

A Florida woman defended her husband and child when she shot and killed an armed suspect who broke into her home.

Officers in Hillsborough County responded to a 911 call on Oct. 30 reporting a home invasion in progress in Lithia, about 25 miles from Tampa.

Investigators arrived on scene and found a male suspect dead in a ditch outside the home on the side of the road.

The preliminary investigation showed that two unknown males, who were wearing masks, had broken into the home and made demands, police said.

The male victim, later identified as Jeremy King, told Bay 9 News that the suspects pointed guns at him, demanded money and threatened him.

What race are you guys?': Buffalo Wild Wings employees fired after asking party to move to appease racist regulars

Two managers at a Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in a Chicago suburb were fired after asking a group of multiracial customers to change tables, in order to appease two "racist" customers who regularly visit.

Buffalo Wild Wings in Naperville, Illinois fired a service manager and shift manager that were working at the time of the incident, following a complaint made by Mary Vahl on Facebook.

According to the post, Vahl's husband was asked "What race are you guys?" when they showed up with a party of 18 last week. The host then explained that their group was seated at a table near two "regular customers" who were known racists. The Vahls' party consisted mostly of African-Americans.

"These seats are reserved and we will have to move your group," one employee told the Vahls, who refused to relocate. They ultimately decided to leave and instead go to a nearby Hooters.
