Teenage girls and women have bombarded 19-year-old Cruz, who is currently being held in Broward County jail, with romantic and sexually-explicit mail, according to local newspaper the Sun Sentinel, which obtained photocopies of the letters.
A woman from Chicago enclosed nine "suggestive" photos, while another from Texas commented on his "beautiful" eyes. An 18-year-old from New York included pink hearts in her letter, saying "I know you could use a good friend right now." Another girl sent photos with Hello Kitty Snapchat filters.

The incident took place in the town of Varces-Allieres-et-Risset on Thursday morning. A group of soldiers from the 93rd Mountain Artillery Regiment had just started jogging when the vehicle sped towards them.
The servicemen managed to evade the attacker by jumping into a nearby ditch. "The soldiers managed to get up onto the pavement without being hit," army spokesman Colonel Benoit Brulon told AFP.
In a tweet, the prefecture of the Isere region described the incident a "heinous act." BFMTV reported that the driver attempted to hit the servicemen at least twice before speeding away.
Comment: Terrorism is a distinct category and does not include every disgruntled nut job who acts out - even if they shout some tired trope before they do. This is excusable. There was no such place as Telford until 1968. That was when bureaucratic managerialism in Britain was in the ascendant. Ancient towns and villages were being grouped together in strange new entities under stone-faced administrators filled with a conviction of their own managerial competence. Britain's old counties were reorganized to suit the inclinations and convenience of these mandarins, and people were shoveled around like so many truckloads of concrete.
Shortly afterwards Britain entered the European Union, and those British mandarins, to their delight, became globalist apparatchiks, with way bigger expense accounts. They must have had many a laugh with each other, over the champagne and truffles, at how easy it had been.
It was the end of old England. Mass Third World immigration was a key component of the new order. British people who dared to raise their voices against what was happening - people like Enoch Powell - were insulted, abused, and hounded out of public life.

"At this point in our investigation, we believe the Skripals first came into contact with the nerve agent from their front door," Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dean Haydon, Senior National Coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, said on Wednesday evening.
Haydon said that further police work would concentrate around the neighborhood where the Skripals, who remain in critical condition, live, but he insisted that "risk remains low" for ordinary inhabitants. Haydon added that "officers are likely (to) be in the area for several weeks and months."
Met police reported that there are still 250 detectives investigating the March 4 incident, which they say involved a variant of Novichok, a powerful nerve agent developed in the Soviet Union. More than 500 potential witnesses have now been interviewed, and 1,350 pieces of evidence collected.

According to the committee, created by Israel's Diaspora Affairs' Ministry in 2016, there are 60 million people around the world who have an "affinity" to Judaism or Israel. The report includes a 'strategic plan' to target such people with the hope that some might even be converted.
It recommended providing learning materials about Judaism and Hebrew to these communities. It also floated the idea of harnessing these groups' "public diplomacy to promote support for Israel and aid in the struggle against anti-Semitism."
On Sunday, the committee called for the Israeli government to create a plan to identify those with links to Judaism but who are not eligible for immigration under Israel's Law of Return, which allows Jews to immigrate to the state of Israel. This would include those with Jewish ancestors, such as the Marranos in Spain and Portugal who converted to Christianity, along with those who hid their Judaism from oppressive regimes.
The report divided its targets into five "circles of affinity." The first group is "core" Jews, making up around 14 million. The second is nine million people who qualify under the law of return, the third group is "distant relatives" of Jews.
Comment: Israel doesn't want converts to live in Israel, they just want to up the influence factor by increasing 'Jewish' numbers in other countries.

Thousands of people flocked to the streets of Accra, the capital of Ghana, to protest a military deal the government recently signed with the US. As part of the agreement, Washington would allocate around $20 million to train the Ghanaian military, carrying out joint exercises and using the nation's radio channels and runways, the New York Times reported.
On Wednesday, massive demonstrations erupted in the capital, with people decrying both Ghana's government and US President Donald Trump. Demonstrators held placards that read "Shithole government," "Trump take your military base away." "Ghana not for sale," and "Ghana is better than $20 million."
Police say around 3,500 protesters took part. Some voiced unease over the growing US military expansion in Ghana and beyond. "As a right-thinking citizen, I am here to fight for my country. I am against selling our peace and security for $20 million," Gifty Yankson, a 49-year-old trader, told Africa News.
Comment: The US is newly interested in Ghana as it sees China making 'inroads' into Africa with established aid and training programs. Getting its big toe in the door could be just the beginning. See also:

The inflation-busting average 5.1% increase on band D properties in England pushes up the average bill to £1,671. Almost all councils that provide social care have opted to levy an average £30 charge to help meet the spiralling cost of adult care services, official figures show.
Council leaders warned that despite the steep rise, town halls would still have to reduce services. They said they had little choice but to ask residents to pay more as they struggled to balance the books since government funding had been halved since 2011.
Comment: The UK economy is showing signs of terminal decline no matter how the ruling government try to spin it. And we're seeing similar patterns in other Western countries, particularly the US. Incidentally, these are the same countries in which we're seeing the ruling establishment succumb to total hysteria and deflecting their failings onto Russia:

What sounded like an Argentinian version of the Bruce-to-Caitlyn Jenner story - but without the Olympic gold, the Kardashians, and a "Woman of the Year" award - has turned out to be a rather brilliant early retirement plan by a humble tax worker, Sergio Lazarovich, that just wants some fairness, and his pension.
Last June, Sergio officially became Sergia, and Sergia officially became eligible to start drawing her state pension. But a member of Sergia's family has now blown the lid off the gender identity-based gender equity move, though what actions the state might take remain to be seen.
Comment: So perhaps we'll see a wave of women changing their gender to 'male' so they can get paid more, and more men become 'women' to get early retirement. Pay gap solved!
Above the video, Abu Rumaila wrote, "A soldier carrying a vegetable corer and claiming that the child was trying to stab him." The footage is shaky and looks like it was recorded on a cell phone. In frame are two soldiers, one holding the metal corer and another holding the unidentified boy by the arm.
A voice shouts in Hebrew "He doesn't understand," referring to the child. A soldier says "one second, one second," another yells, "I don't care, step back." When the boy's father approaches with another child, the soldier pulls back, but his clutch is quickly released. The father is heard shouting back in Hebrew, "Give me the boy, leave the boy alone!"
In the last frame the three year old is crouching behind his father.
Comment: Pitiful hasbara attempt by the police spokesman. If the Israelis really cared, they would have just given the kid some candy and tried to earn some good will. They didn't, because they don't care about good will. Three-year-old Palestinians are vermin to them.
