Cop kicks innocent man in the head, breaking his jaw and is awarded $230K

dover de cop
Caught on dash cam video kicking a compliant man in the face and breaking his jaw, a police corporal announced his resignation from the department after the city agreed to pay him $230,000 over the next six years. Although the ex-cop is prohibited from returning to work at the Dover Police Department, the agreement does not prevent him from seeking employment with other law enforcement agencies.

In August 2013, Cpl. Thomas Webster of the Dover Police Department was captured on police dash cam video appearing behind Lateef Dickerson and kicking the back of his legs. Ordered to get on the ground, Dickerson began complying with the officers' orders when Cpl. Webster suddenly kicked him in the head without provocation, fracturing his jaw and knocking him unconscious. Initially charged with resisting arrest, the charges against Dickerson were later dropped after reviewing the dash cam footage.

Survey shows citizens of the EU & US suspect Turkey is supporting terrorists

Erdogan ISIS
A recent survey carried out in European countries and the United States show that an overwhelming majority of respondents believe Turkey is collaborating with the Daesh terrorist group.

According to Sputnik.Polls, 72 percent of the French public believe that Turkey is turning a blind eye to the operations of Turkish illicit traders who are buying oil from Daesh in Syria.

Over half of Germans (52 percent), 38 percent of Americans and 41 percent of Britons agree that the Turkish authorities might be supporting the illicit oil trade.

Comment: The answer to whether Turkey is supporting terrorism is, by now, a no-brainer!

Up to 50 people have been quarantined after an employee opened envelope with a suspicious powdery substance in an United States Customs office in Alameda, California.

A 2:43 pm emergency call was made reporting the employee feeling sick immediately after opening the envelope, KNTV reported.

Two more people also felt sick. Fire officials say their symptoms are not deadly, but the workers are receiving treatment under quarantine, and a HAZMAT crew is on location telling others to stay away from the area.

Fire officials established a "hot zone," an area where safety equipment is required to avoid the risk of infection.

Police Lt. Jill Ottaviano told El Cerrito Patch that some people were eventually allowed to leave the building.

"Once we identify what it is," Alameda Fire Department Spokesman Juan Medrano told the San Francisco Chronicle. "we can figure out how to deal with the substance itself and what levels of decontamination are needed."

Cold-hearted world: Passengers applaud as 7-year-old boy having allergic reaction removed from plane

Instead of sightseeing on a ferry, 7-year-old Giovanni, his mom, Christina Fabian, and dad, George Alvarado should have already boarded a flight.

"We were on Flight 171," said Fabian.

But the trip from Bellingham back home to Phoenix was interrupted by Giovanni's allergic reaction. "He began to get very itchy and he was scratching all over. He started to get hives, so we informed the flight attendant who informed us that there's dogs on every flight and just smirked, which minimized his experience for me," said Fabian.

The allergic reaction delayed take off, and soon the family was told they'd have to deboard. "We understood. They helped us off the plane, but as we gathered our stuff the people toward the back of the plane clapped," said Fabian. Giovanni's feelings were crushed by the clapping.

"People who don't have sadness, they don't understand," he said.

Psychopath? Israeli rabbi colonel: Rape of Palestinian women during war is permissible

Religious soldiers
“As in war the prohibition against risking your life is broken for the benefit of others, so are the prohibitions against immorality,” the rabbi said.
In order not to weaken soldiers' ability during war, they can do whatever they want including rape.

Israeli Rabbi Colonel Eyal Qarim of the Israeli Military Rabbinate has permitted Israeli Jewish soldiers to rape Palestinian women.

The permission came as an answer for this question: "Is it allowed in our days for an Israeli occupation soldier, for example, to rape girls during a fight, or is such a thing forbidden?"

"The wars of Israel are religious wars, in which they differ from the rest of the wars the nations wage among themselves," the Israeli Jewish rabbi said.

Comment: Imagine an ideology, bolstered by religion, that has, as its highest values: domination, war, brutality and death for the sake of bolstering its imperial ambitions. Imagine, also, that this sect has tremendous political, economic and societal powers world-wide, and has a mandate to wipe out or subjugate a very large percentage of the world's population in order to fulfill these ambitions. Then put the pathological statements made by Israeli Rabbi Colonel Eyal Qarim into this context and what he says doesn't seem so shocking, does it?

Programming fail? Most Americans don't care at all about Academy Awards

oscars
Despite all of the controversy over the Oscars being #SoWhite, the reality is that a majority of Americans don't actually care about the Academy Awards at all.

YouGov asked 1,000 Americans from Jan. 21-22 about their opinions on the alleged racial controversy in the Oscars. One of the questions was, bluntly, "How much do you care about the Academy Awards?"

In response, a vast majority — 62 percent — responded that they do not care "at all" about the Academy Awards. The poll found 29 percent of respondents care "a little" about the Oscars, while only seven percent care "a lot."

Thanks NATO: Libya facing humanitarian crisis from food insecurity and lack of life-saving medicine

hospital libya

One million people in Libya will soon be in need of immediate help if medicines are not delivered soon, according to a UN humanitarian official, who added that the problems will be "a real issue" and could start within a month.

"Our estimation is that by the end of March, Libya may run out of life saving medications which will impact about 1 million people," said Ali Al-Zatari, the United Nations humanitarian coordinator for Libya, as cited by Reuters.

Political unrest in the North African country is not helping matters, making it difficult to coordinate deliveries of life-saving medicines. Al-Zatari says there is a drastic shortage of pharmaceuticals needed to try and treat diseases such as cancer, while he is also worried about the state of hospitals in Libya, which are not receiving adequate funding.

Is the war in Ukraine starting up again? Illegal shelling moves from outskirts to the cities on eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day

Yasinovataya
23.02.16 Yasinovataya
To be brief, it has begun. Indeed the fighting in Donbass has resumed. More precisely, the firing of weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements. Again, after dark, Donetsk, Gorlovka, Makeyevka, Yasinovataya feels the charm of the "truce". If before we were informed of the shelling on the outskirts of the city by daily summaries from Basurin, now we hear for ourselves that there is almost nothing left of the ceasefire.

On Defender of the Fatherland Day, the Ukrainian army began to congratulate the armed forces of the Donetsk People's Republic in the evening of the 22nd February. At approximately 18:00 the attack on the Yasinovataya post, Oktyabrsky, the Airport began.

Comment: Coincidentally (or not), the resumption of UAF shelling, which is a blatant violation of the Minsk agreements, came on the same day that Russia and the U.S. announced their ceasefire plans for Syria. Was this just a cynical 'congratulations' to commemorate Defender of the Fatherland Day? Or does it signal a full resumption of the illegal war on the people of Donetsk and Lugansk? Whatever the case, it demonstrates the total disregard of the Ukrainian authorities for peace. Let's hope the Syrian ceasefire is more successful.
