six navy seals running for congress
Six former Navy SEALs released an ad highlighting their campaigns for six separate seats in the House of Representatives with one unifying goal: to take away Speaker Nancy Pelosi's control in Congress.

The six conservative-minded SEALs include Morgan Luttrell in Texas's 8th Congressional District, Brady Duke for Florida's 7th District, Eli Crane for Arizona's 2nd District, Derrick Van Orden for Wisconsin's 3rd District, Ed Thelander for Maine's 1st District, and Ryan Zinke for Montana's 1st District.

Tens of thousands gather in Washington to call for an end to Covid mandates

washington rally mandates protest
Tens of thousands of Americans marched to Washington, DC, to call for an end to COVID mandates. The Children's Health Defense is sponsoring the event and say they're expecting 20,000 people to participate in the mile-long march on Sunday.

Comment: Speaking of Rogan, here's how Vice reported on the march:
vice headline joe rogan
(To be clear, Joe Rogan had nothing to do with the march). Once you've created a bad guy (or attempted to), better use it to it's full potential!

Alberta Canada inadvertently published (and quickly deletes) health data exposing more than half of vaccinated deaths have been counted as unvaccinated

In yet another absolute bombshell revelation the government of Alberta, Canada exposed itself this week when it accidentally published damning evidence that exposes how the public health authorities have been manipulating the Covid-19 statistics.

After seemingly realizing what it had just done, the corrupt Canadian province quickly scrambled to delete the incriminating data off their website, but, thanks to internet sleuths like Twitter user Metatron - and his substack post, we have the receipts.

Comment: They've been fudging the numbers from the very beginning of this "pandemic," but this little slip on their part really reveals just how egregious their manipulations are. And make no mistake - this isn't isolated to Alberta.

Israel insists it only 'legally' spies on citizens

An Israeli minister has denied reports that police illegally used Pegasus surveillance software to spy on the country's own citizens, calling the "central claim" - that the practice was illegal - "not true."

Several government investigations were launched this past week after the Israeli newspaper Calcalist reported that law enforcement had been using NSO Group's infamous Pegasus spyware to illegally intercept the calls of citizens.

The newspaper claimed that police had been using the spyware since 2013 to carry out surveillance on citizens "who were not criminals or suspects."

Omer Bar-Lev, Israel's Minister of Public Security, told Channel 12 on Saturday that the allegations were not true, "except for the fact that the Israel Police used advanced technology."

"The central claim that the police are illegally spying is not true," he declared, citing the assurances of Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, before claiming to be "very happy that the Israel Police has advanced technological tools to help deal with serious crime organizations that are using advanced technology."

Comment: Legal or not, spying is Israel's number one export:

A school district in Denver, Colorado, plans to host a Black Lives Matter "Week of Action," according to a report from Parents Defending Education.

Centennial Elementary School (CES) in Denver Public Schools (DPS) announced its plans to participate in the "Black Lives Matter (BLM) at School Week of Action" from Jan. 31 - Feb. 4, according to a report from Parents Defending Education (PDE). The school said it will instruct kindergarteners and first graders to be "transgender affirming" by "recognizing trans-antagonistic violence" and "queer affirming" so "heteronormative thinking no longer exists."

Most kindergarteners and first graders are five, six and seven years old, according to PDE.

Comment: Teaching 5, 6 and 7 year olds to 'disrupt the nuclear family' is deliberate indoctrination with a radical leftist agenda. These aren't teachers, they're activists set on brainwashing kids with a dangerous divisive ideology.

Response to the US Department of State's fact sheet Facts vs. Fiction: Russian Disinformation on Ukraine

US Department Facts vs. Fiction: Russian Disinformation on Ukraine
"Fact" cited by the US Department of State:

False statements from the Putin regime blame the victim, Ukraine, for Russia's aggression. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014, occupies Crimea, controls armed forces in the Donbass, and has now amassed more than 100,000 troops on the border with Ukraine while President Putin threatens "retaliatory military-technical" measures if his demands are not met.

Reality:

The blame for destabilising the situation in Ukraine lies entirely with the United States and other NATO countries, which supported the coup in February 2014, resulting in the toppling of the duly elected president and nationalists coming to power. Fearing for their own safety, residents of Crimea and Donbass chose not to live under the government of the followers of Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych. As a result, Crimea reunited with Russia, the Donetsk and Lugansk regions declared independence, and Kiev unleashed a civil war against Donbass, which continues to this day.

Waterloo school board trying to obliterate debate over sexualized children's books

Waterloo School Board meeting
Claiming it to be a violation of the Ontario Human Rights Code, officials at the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) have decided not to post the video of a controversial public meeting where a long-serving teacher was cut off for questioning the value of two highly sexualized children's books in school libraries.

WRDSB board chair Scott Piatkowski tweeted Thursday night that the customary YouTube video of Monday night's public meeting had not been posted, as the Board is "concerned about potential violations" to the Human Rights Code and the "harm" that could befall students, staff and communities in Waterloo Region.

The Dark Side of the Metaverse

Metaverse
© University of Southern California
On October 28, 2021, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, perhaps trying to put a determined end to what was for him and his company a definite annus horribilis (a horrible year), made a double announcement: Facebook is changing its name to Meta. Meta, according to Zuckerberg, will be a "social technology company" - an organization that will focus on transitioning Facebook's business from its "old" social media platform to a brand-new, yet-to-be-defined-and-constructed virtual domain called Metaverse.

Metaverse, "... a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection," will, according to its new promoters, developers and proponents, bring our virtual and physical worlds much closer together by converting the hitherto two-dimensional social media experience into a three-dimensional wonder world. In this amalgam of the virtual and the real, physical borders, hindering our movements from here to there, will become a thing of the past, to be replaced by a virtual universe-metaverse that will allow people around the corner and across the globe to meet each other and conduct all manner of fun and business in a virtual Wild West: gaming, chatting, consuming and distributing all manners of products, artistic creations, boundless learning opportunities and experiences, and of course, endless buying, selling and trading.

A veritable wonder world indeed; what can be wrong with it? Well, actually, quite a lot.

Shane McInerney, 29, from Galway, created "numerous disturbances" on the January 7 Delta flight that was heading to John F Kennedy International Airport, according to a federal complaint filed in the Eastern District of New York.

Moderna stock crash intensifies: Losses top $130 billion after scientists find Covid boosters aren't halting omicron infections

Moderna was last year’s third-best-performing stock in the S&P—now it's this year’s worst.
Battered by a steep broad-market selloff this week, Moderna shares fell for a sixth straight day Friday as experts questioned whether Covid-19 vaccine sales alone will help justify the firm's meteoric valuation, intensifying a crash that's wiped out more than 60% of the value in one of last year's top stocks and turned it into this year's worst performer.

Moderna stock fell 4.4% Friday to an eight-month low of $160, pushing shares down more than 20% over the past week amid growing research suggesting Moderna's Covid-19 booster, while very effective against previous strains, has been less effective against the rapidly spreading omicron variant.

Though the number of Covid infections has spiked amid the omicron-spurred wave of the pandemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday that Moderna and Pfizer boosters were 90% effective at preventing people infected with the new variant from being hospitalized.
