YouTube to start labeling propaganda videos posted by state-funded media

youtube logo
YouTube will now add a label to videos that come from state-funded media outlets, the Google-owned company announced on Friday.

A notice will appear under the videos for any outlets that received some level of government or public funding. It will also include a link to the Wikipedia article about that broadcaster for viewers to glean more information about the news source.

"News is an important and growing vertical for us and we want to be sure to get it right, helping to grow news and support news publishers on YouTube in a responsible way," Geoff Samek, senior product manager for YouTube News wrote in a blog post published on Friday. "This work follows a series of changes we made throughout 2017 to better surface authoritative news content."

Company spokespeople said some labels will appear as soon as Friday, but added that the initiative is still new and developing.

Comment: Might be a good thing - if they are labeling state sponsored videos, it will make it that much easier to spot the propaganda pieces.

Homeschoolers in California will now have to prove that they aren't abusive

welcome to California
Just when you think the idiot Democrats who run the state of California with an iron fist have outdone their lunacy, they double and triple down on it.

In recent years the state's Democrats have infringed on parental rights by imposing a vaccine mandate in which no one could opt their children out of the system, for any reason (including religious objections, which is a blatant violation of the First Amendment's religious freedom protections).

"The vaccine discussion issue just got more complicated as California governor Jerry Brown signed SB 277. Just one day after lawmakers sent him the bill, Brown signed it into law, eliminating all personal and religious exemptions for vaccines for California's schoolchildren," Natural News reported in June 2015.

Now, the state's war on parents who don't "conform" by sending their children to be indoctrinated in California's socialist-dominated public schools are going to be subject to the same treatment as a child abuser or molester.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, Democrat-led lawmakers "in that state have indicated plans to categorically require homeschool parents to prove - through home visits, interview, and other government oversight - that indeed the parent is not abusive if they choose to exercise a legally protected and valid option for school choice."

Fasten your seat belts: Woman tried to enter cockpit, bit & kicked flight attendants during landing

An American Airlines Boeing 767-300 aircraft
In a bizarre air rage incident, a woman snapped and launched herself from her backrow seat towards the pilots' compartment as the plane was about to touch down. She kicked and bit flight attendants who attempted to calm her.

Every air passenger knows that as a plane descends it is time to fasten your seat belt. Charlene Sarieann Harriott, a passenger on an American Airlines flight from Dallas, Texas to Charlotte, North Carolina, defied this rule and did plenty more besides.

When the plane was just 200 feet (60 meters) in the air, Harriott suddenly rose from her seat in the back and rushed towards the cockpit for no apparent reason.

City forced to refund millions in unconstitutional red light traffic camera tickets

In a time where there are daily attacks on the US constitution, a glimmer of hope has arisen in New Miami, Ohio as the state appeals court ruled in the favor of the citizens. All drivers who were sent one of the town's 'unconstitutional' speed camera tickets will be getting a refund thanks to a court system that protected freedom instead of the state.

The court ruled that the $3 million in fines stolen from drivers with no due process was all obtained illegally and they must now pay it back.
The Ohio Court of Appeals on Monday delivered a heavy blow to New Miami's attempt to block a court-ordered refund of $3,066,523 in speed camera citations. The village insisted that the lower court (view ruling) got it wrong and that the village should not be forced to pay back any amount on the grounds of sovereign immunity. Not so, said the unanimous three-judge panel.

"While it is true that New Miami has the authority to enforce its traffic laws, it must do so in a constitutional manner," Judge Michael E. Powell wrote for the appellate court. "New Miami does not have the authority to do so in an unconstitutional manner."

Randall Margraves is tackled after he lunged at Larry Nassar.
A GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $24,000 for the father who attacked convicted pedophile Larry Nassar in court on Friday.

Randall Margraves attempted to get his hands on the disgraced US gymnastics team doctor, who has been sentenced to 175 years in prison, after his daughters gave victim impact statements detailing the abuse they suffered at the hands of Nassar.

The visibly upset dad first asked for "five minutes in a locked room with this demon" before rushing at Nassar, only to be tackled by police.

As he was led away from the courtroom, he shouted: "I want that son of a bitch... give me one minute with that bastard."

Alabama House passes bill to ban smoking in cars with minors

On Tuesday, the Alabama House passed a bill that aims to stop adults from smoking tobacco products in a motor vehicle while any minors are present. Birmingham-Democrat State Rep. Rolonda Hollis filed HB26 in an effort to protect minors who cannot protect themselves from harmful tobacco products.

"We aren't saying you can't smoke, and we aren't saying what to do with your body," Hollis told AL.com. "We just want to look out more for the kids."

Hollis was inspired on a date night with her husband, he lit a cigarette in the car while they were out and Hollis said she could hardly breathe.

"If I can barely breathe, I'm sure children can barely breathe," said Hollis.

Comment: In a better world, these legislators would be more concerned about greedy corporations poisoning our food, poisoning our water, and polluting the air we breathe - that is more likely to be the true cause of the illnesses mentioned above. The 'pollutants' from second-hand smoke pale in comparison.

Identity of infamous 1971 airplane hijacker 'DB Cooper' recently uncovered due to secret coding in letters

secret coded letter

This note contained coding that read: 'CAN FBI CATCH ME… SWS', which Colbert said was Rackstraw taunting agents to track him. He added that the SWS stood for Special Warfare School, which is where the veteran supposedly learned coding.
Investigators dedicated to uncovering the true identity of infamous 1971 airplane hijacker DB Cooper claim they now have the final pieces of evidence that proves it is the man they have long pinned it on.

The notorious hijacker, who is one of the 20th century's most compelling masterminds, hijacked a Boeing 727 at Seattle-Tacoma airport in 1971 and held its crew and passengers hostage with a bomb.

Once his demand of $200,000 cash - the equivalent of $1.2 million today - was reached and transferred onto the plane, he had the crew take off before he parachuted out over the dense Pacific Northwest woods and disappeared.

The hijacker was dubbed DB Cooper by the FBI.

Corriere is reporting that one police line of inquiry is that it could be a revenge attack for the death of Pamela Mastropietro. The 18-year-old's dismembered body was recently found in two suitcases on the outskirts of the city. A 29-year-old man from Nigeria has been charged with her murder, reported ANSA news.
