Serious professional misconduct: Retired doctor could be responsible for 'hundreds of deaths,' claims MP

An MP says he will be pushing "very, very hard for criminal charges" against retired GP, Dr Jane Barton, if an inquiry finds that she is responsible for 'hundreds of deaths' at Gosport War Memorial hospital in Hampshire.

Stephen Lloyd, the Liberal Democrat MP for one of the victims in Eastbourne, says that if it is true that Barton prescribed fatal doses of diamorphine - a powerful opiate painkiller - to patients at the hospital, near Portsmouth, then he would be pushing for criminal charges.

Bishop Jones, who was chairman of the Hillsborough Inquiry, has been leading a panel conducting the independent government inquiry into the suspicious deaths. He will notify the families of the results of his investigation in a closed session at Portsmouth Cathedral on Wednesday.

Lloyd is a supporter of Gillian McKenzie, whose mother Gladys Richards died suddenly in 1998, after she was transferred to the Gosport hospital, following a hip operation.

A 20 year-old man faces felony child abuse charges after he was found in a Mississippi cemetery with five underage and drugged girls - two of whom were unconscious when found.

The girls, aged between 11 and 16, were in foster care in Mobile, Alabama, The Sun Herald reported. Police say the suspect, Jordan McClain, drove there from Ocean Springs, Mississippi, after striking up an online relationship with one of the girls.

The minors were given Xanax and marijuana by McClain during the journey back to Mississippi, according to authorities, who were alerted to the incident after the group appeared intoxicated on a beach.

Police later located McClain and the girls in a nearby cemetery. Officers found two of the girls unconscious. They were taken to a hospital, where they were treated and returned to the custody of their foster carers.

A man is in critical but stable condition after being attacked with a noxious substance in east London. It comes as the capital is hit by a violent crime epidemic, which has already brought the death toll since January to 74.

The victim, believed to be in his 20s, is thought to have been struck by ammonia.

In a statement, police officers said they wanted to speak to William Deo, 20, and Gavin Okwu-Brewis, 29. They are being searched for in connection with the attack in Ilford, east London, on Sunday night.

Members of the public have been cautioned against approaching them.

Growing number of European countries now strongly refusing to accept the unchecked influx of migrants - and their reasons why

migrants Europe
Much has been written about the unchecked influx of migrants into Europe recently. As the EU promotes the warm, fuzzy, "inclusive" policies that are overwhelming countries with immigrants, some of those countries are bluntly starting to say, "no more." At the same time, other countries seem to be quietly preparing for...something... without being quite so forthcoming about the event for which they are readying themselves.

Millions of refugees and asylum seekers, primarily from Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Somalia are flowing into Europe, largely unchecked. This is because of a welcoming "open door" policy promoted by German Chancellor Angela Merkel back in 2015. Despite the backlash from Europeans, Merkel says she has "no regrets."

But some overwhelmed countries have decided that enough is enough. They cite the refugees' refusal to assimilate, increasing crime statistics (particularly against women), and no-go zones in which the migrants have banded together and created areas in which Europeans are not welcome.

The European Union is so displeased about this that they've taken 3 of their member countries to court for refusing to "share the burden of hosting migrants."

I don't have a crystal ball, but I wonder if we could see this disagreement becoming a catalyst for the dissolution of the European Union.

Anti-Russian propaganda means nothing to hundreds of thousands of international fans enjoying World Cup in Russia

Russia and Mexico fans together in Moscow.
The striking thing about Moscow during the World Cup so far is just how much the atmosphere of openness and joy is in stark contrast to the bad spirited build up seen in parts of the western, english speaking media.

Scare stories of hooliganism, racism, and homophobia dominated coverage which seemed more interested in confirming its own stereotypes than uncovering the complexities of a nation. The vast majority of the locals and fans meeting in Russia couldn't care less about the politics.

How about this headline from The Times newspaper in Britain after Russia's opening 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia? "Russia get party started with goal feast for Vladimir Putin." To me it seems extremely cynical to suggest the team did it for Putin; they did it for the excited kids who came out of Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium afterwards with big smiles on their faces. They did it for the Russians that love football. That is a headline written by someone who can't get out of the way of their own preconceptions.

Comment: The West's unrelenting, baseless anti-Russia propaganda is... being completely ignored by the vast majority of people.

The war on reality continues.

A story from a Connecticut high school earlier this month reports how a male to female transgender track and field athlete broke two state records.
On Monday, when Connecticut had its State Open track and field championships at Willow Brook Park, one person broke the State Open records for girls in both the 100 and 200-meter runs.

That person was a biological boy.

'You can smell the bodies' - Angelina Jolie visits Mosul one year after its 'liberation'

Angelina Joli in Mosul, Iraq
Nearly a year after Mosul in Iraq was declared "liberated" from ISIS terrorists, UNHCR envoy Angelina Jolie said the stench of dead bodies buried under the rubble was still present, amid the "worst devastation" she has ever seen.

"There are bodies in this rubble that stay here and you can smell the bodies and some of them have family members that are here and they are unable to move them," the Hollywood superstar and Special Envoy for the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) said, after exploring a part of Mosul that was recaptured last year with the US-led coalition's active support.

Even though this was Jolie's fifth trip to Iraq, the horrific destruction she witnessed in the Old City this time really broke her heart. Walking around the narrow streets of the city center, completely destroyed by artillery and airstrikes, the 43-year-old Oscar winner called it the "worst devastation" she saw in her 17 years representing the UNHCR across the globe.

Secret swap deal: US-backed SDF release Daesh jihadis from Europe

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by the US-led coalition, reportedly exchanged foreign jihadists they'd captured, including Europeans, for their own members who'd been taken by Daesh groups, after the home countries of the foreign fighters refused to take responsibility for them.

In 2017 the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), backed by the Western coalition, released dozens of detained Daesh jihadists, along with their wives and children, including German, French, Moroccan, Belgian and Dutch nationals, to the terrorist groups, according to the UK Telegraph. The media that revealed information about the secret swap deals between the SDF and the terrorist organizations underscored concerns about these fighters returning to Europe.

The SDF, which still holds British and European nationals in its detention centers, informed the newspaper that it agreed to the swap deals because the SDF lacks the capacity to hold the captives indefinitely. According to the rebels, they have requested that the Western countries take responsibility for their nationals and take action, but received no response.
