Baroness Cox, who recently took a fresh portion of criticism over her view of Syria - which doesn't fit into mainstream narrative - told RT that it's time for the West to stop its "interventionist" and "proxy wars" politics.

Caroline Cox, a baroness and Life Peer in the House of Lords who visited the war-ridden Syrian on numerous occasions, came under fire this week for her speech on Syria, which some mainstream media deemed "pro-Syrian." Earlier this year, she was also slammed for travelling to the war-torn state to meet with local establishment, but also with ordinary civilians.

That meeting, touted as a sign of solidarity with the country's Christian community, was also criticized in an internal Foreign Office memo, according to the Times. The visit was "used by the regime as propaganda to undermine the UK's position on Syria," the FCO alleged.

Builders were baffled after cracking open a wall to find around 1,000 human teeth inside.

The workers were renovating an old building in Valdosta, Georgia, when they came across the stash of gnashers.

They found them in the Converse building in the city's downtown area when they began to knock down a wall on the second floor.

As they struck the wall around a thousand human teeth spilled out.

City staff have been digging into the building's history to find an explanation as to why they were there and believe they may have come up with part of an answer.

The growing popularity of "New Age" beliefs likely stems in part from fewer Americans following traditional religions, according to political analyst Ruy Teixeira.

"The data suggests this is the fastest growing religious group in America, are people who don't hold any firm religious beliefs," Teixeira, a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, said Wednesday on Hill.TV's "What America's Thinking."

"Perhaps these New Age beliefs are in a sense, at least partially, a reflection of more and more people not having an orthodox religious set of beliefs," he added.

Teixeira was discussing a recent Pew Research Center poll that found 62 percent of Americans hold New Age beliefs, such as astrology and the presence of spiritual energy in trees or mountains.

Serious and organized crime "kills more of our citizens than terrorism" and any other threat combined, which costs the UK economy £37bn a year, The National Crime Agency (NCA) has revealed.

The head of the NCA, Lynne Owens, has told senior police chiefs at a conference in central London, the threat of serious and organized crime has rapidly increased, which cause more deaths than any other national security threat, The Independent reports.

Owens told those assembled: "The threat from serious and organized crime has changed rapidly, increasing in both volume and complexity. We know that it now affects more UK citizens, more often, than any other national security threat.

"We know that it leads to more deaths in the UK each year than all other national security threats combined. It kills more of our citizens than terrorism, war and natural disasters combined."

Since he became president, many in the media have blamed Donald Trump for stoking division in the United States, but a new poll shows that while many agree that Trump deserves blame, more point the finger at the media itself.

The Politico/Morning Consult poll, released on Thursday, showed that 56 percent of Americans felt Trump had done more to divide people, with just 30 percent feeling like he had acted to unite the country.

But the news was worse for the media. A significant majority, 64 percent of Americans surveyed said that the media had done more to divide people - with only 17 percent believing the media had been a force to unite people.

Somebody wearing a "Scream" mask is on the loose after shooting a teenage girl and a man in Manhattan, cops say.

Gunshots rang out just before 2 a.m. Thursday on 163rd Street in Washington Heights right as Halloween festivities were winding down, the NYPD said.

Police initially said the gunman had definitely been wearing a Michael Myers mask, the trademark of the villain in the "Halloween" slasher films, but later said it could have been confused for the villain from "Scream."

Witnesses confirmed the mask was "Ghostface," the longfaced, sunken-eyed haunt adopted by several characters of the cult horror series "Scream."

Despite political tensions here on Mother Earth, Russian-American cooperation in space still persists. The US will take delivery of four Russian-built engines crucial for its Atlas rockets, with several more to come.

Four RD-180 rocket engines built by Russia's NPO Energomash have been commissioned for the US buyers, the manufacturer said in a news release. "On October 26, 2018, Pratt & Whitney, United Launch Alliance and RD AMROSS singed the engine log books," it reads.

Prior to the handover, Pratt & Whitney and United Launch Alliance (ULA) checked the engines along with NASA and US Air Force experts to ensure they are of good quality. The RD-180s are now ready to be shipped out, and this is not a one-of-a-kind purchase.

The Afghan government is struggling to recover control of districts lost to Taliban militants while casualties among security forces have reached record levels, a U.S. government watchdog says.

The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) highlighted in its latest quarterly report on October 31 the heavy pressure on the government in Kabul.

"The control of Afghanistan's districts, population, and territory overall became more contested this quarter," the agency said.

A chilling video of an Indian cameraman giving what he thought was likely to be his last message to his mother has gone viral. The man recorded the footage while under a Maoist attack.

Footage has emerged of Mor Mukut Sharma, an employee of national broadcaster Doordarshan, telling his mother how much he loves her and that he doubts he'll make it out of the attack alive.

"Chances are that I will be killed in this attack. The situation is not right," Sharma says against the sound of bullets being fired in the backgrounds, the Hindustan Times reports.
