The number of employed Americans has never been higher. The 156,562,000 Americans employed in October is the twelfth record set under President Donald Trump.
In October, the number of employed men age 20 and up -- 80,405,000 -- set the 12th record since Trump took office; and likewise, for the 12th time, the number of employed women age 20 and up set a record, reaching 70,909,000 in October.
The unemployment rate held at 3.7 percent, the same as September, which is the lowest it's been in decades -- since the end of 1969. And the Hispanic unemployment rate, 4.4 percent, has never been lower.
The parliamentarians who came up with the draft law believe cyber-militias should be created by citizens themselves in the form of public organizations. All people over the age of 18 will be eligible to join the voluntary units, they said.

Samia Mashahra's son came into the world despite her husband not being home in East Jerusalem's Jabal Al-Mukaaber area for more than 16 years. The newborn was named Eid (meaning "holiday" in Arabic).
The father of the family, Fahmi, has been incarcerated since his first daughter was only one month old. His imprisonment, however, did not stop the couple from having their second child, Aziza, who is already five years old.

Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA, where 11 Jews were murdered in a hate crime on Oct. 27, 2018.
This was an echo of Prime Minister Netanyahu, who in the wake of the 2015 Paris terror shootings, messaged "all the Jews of France", indeed "all the Jews of Europe": "the state of Israel is your home".
This is hardly the first time that the opposition leader Gabbay echoes Netanyahu so precisely and in such similar contexts. Last year, he approvingly cited Netanyahu's words: "The left has forgotten what it means to be Jewish". Gabbay was aware of the historical and racist context of Netanyahu's original statement, which was caught on hot mic in 1997 (Netanyahu also said that the left "think that our security can be placed in the hands of Arabs") - and Gabbay explicitly credited Netanayhu.
Gabbay's statements on Pittsburgh were regarded as "tone-deaf" by the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (JTA), and even centrist lawmaker (and former Israeli Ambassador to US) Michael Oren felt a need to damage-control Gabbay's words for being too nationalist:
"Avi Gabbay said things that should not be said because he simply does not understand. Through his words he adds insult to injury. The call to U.S. Jewry, especially after last night [massacre in Pittsburgh], deeply hurts their feelings and reduces their desire for Aliyah [emigration to Israel]. Gabbay does not understand anything about Israel's relationship with the Diaspora."

Supporters of Tehrik-e Labaik Pakistan, a hard-line religious political party, protesting against a woman's acquittal of blasphemy charges.
Under the agreement, the government agreed to bar Asia Bibi, who has been on death row since 2010, from leaving the country.
"The party leaders have announced an end to protest sit-ins across the country. Workers have been asked to disperse peacefully," said Pir Ijaz Qadri, spokesman for the Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan party, which has largely led three days of protests in major Pakistani cities. The government confirmed the agreement.
Bibi, a mother of five, was accused of making derogatory remarks about Islam after neighbors objected to her drinking water from their glass because she was not Muslim.
Comment: You'd think the protesters would want Asia Bibi to leave the country. Unless they have other plans for her...

After facing a public outcry over comments he made Tuesday which many found "racist", the 52-year-old news anchor, who is not the biggest fan of Donald Trump's policies, has offered some hard facts to defend and back up his claim that right-wing white folk pose the biggest terrorist threat to American society.
"Earlier this week I made some comments .... that the biggest terror threat in this country comes from radicals on the far-right, primarily white men. That angered some people, but let's put emotion aside and look at the cold hard facts," Lemon told his CNN Tonight audience on Wednesday.
Comment: Don Lemon doesn't seem to realize that he thinks like a Nazi:
Chief Roman Clark told reporters a 50-foot wall collapsed at the Amazon Fulfillment Center in Southeast Baltimore in the overnight hours as a wicked storm swept across the Chesapeake Bay.
Firefighters found the deceased worker under rubble and transported to a hospital, where the person was pronounced dead, Clark said.
He said a second person was unaccounted for.
There still no clarity on what actually happened on Monday night in the capital Russia's Republic of Bashkortostan, but the media is digging up dirt on the alleged sex offenders and their victim.
The day in question seems to have started quite innocently. Two respected district police department heads, Eduard Matveev, 51, and Salavat Galiyev, 50, decided to get together to share a few drinks, relax and remember their past. Some reports suggest the policemen were celebrating a retirement or the homecoming of a former boss.
Russian custom dictates that a drinking party needs at least three people, and they invited 34-year-old migration section head, Pavel Yaromchuk, to join them in order to meet that requirement. The party lasted for several hours and the three men were apparently already very drunk when they decided that their celebrations lacked female company.

A report released Thursday by the UK's cross-party Demos think tank shows that a St. Petersburg "troll farm" tweeted far more about Islam than Brexit, reports Bloomberg.
Using a Twitter-provided data set of 3,841 blocked accounts said to be linked to the Internet Research Agency, the study shows how accounts "camouflaged" themselves after their creation in 2011 by tweeting innocuous things about exercise and fitness in order to appear genuine, before becoming politically active to divide people. Demos adds as a caveat that they are "dependent on Twitter's determination that these are indeed Russian state-operated accounts."
Comment: Since the entire premise is based on Twitter's (highly suspect) assessment of what is and isn't a 'Russian troll account', one might wonder why this report was put out at all, except to stir two pots, Russophobia and Islamophobia, at the same time.
The two key documents are proof of residence and a photo ID. The university is making it as easy as possible to get these documents.
All students can print off a "Voter Eligibility Verification Letter" simply by going to their online university account. The process is automatic and instant.

Comment: It's funny how, when Trump was a candidate, such figures were 'not the real unemployment figures' - which they aren't, because they exclude all sorts of unemployed people, like people who've been unemployed for so long, they've given up searching and have effectively dropped out of the system - but now they're political gold.
