Donbass reporter Ekaterina Katina
On the morning of 9 July 2021, the model and war reporter Ekaterina (nicknamed Katya) Katina died in Donetsk, after two days between life and death, following a stroke. The Donbass is today mourning the woman who took part in the uprising of the region against the Maidan coup d'état, and who for seven years covered this war that never ends.

I met Katya in 2016, when I arrived in Donbass. It was with her that I learned the profession of journalism, and more particularly war journalism. It was with her that I did my first reports on the front and on positions.

I worked with her for several years, we were inseparable, walking through the villages of the front line and the positions of the DPR (Donetsk People's Republic) People' s Militia, from Sakhanka to Golmovsky, through Staromikhailovka, Dokuchayevsk, Luganskoye, Spartak, Promka, and Zaitsevo.

Several times we came under fire from the Ukrainian army in Zaitsevo, Spartak, and on the outskirts of Donetsk. We received a telniachka (sailor's jacket) together from the hands of Alexander Zakhartchenko, the leader of the DPR, one day in August 2016. We were again decorated together by Commander Jelezny in Zaitsevo in the autumn of 2016.

The Venezuelan government has said it has derailed a violent gang's plans to create chaos in the capital. The street battles in northwest Caracas lasted for some 72 hours and left at least 26 dead, including four officers.

This week, parts of the Venezuelan capital turned into a battlefield as some 2,500 government troops engaged in a shooting war with the so-called 'Koki' gang, named after the nickname of its leader, Carlos Luis Revete, who has an estimated 250 people under his command and alliances with other gangs.

The powerful criminal organization is based in the northwestern Cota 905 neighborhood and has influence in areas of El Valle, El Cementerio, El Paraiso, La Vega and Santa Rosalia.

Some of the roads leading to the parts of the city where the fighting took place were closed by the authorities. The escalation of violence reportedly followed the gang's Wednesday move to break an informal non-aggression pact with the government amid an effort to expand its criminal operations.

Fear porn: Australians furious with graphic government ad telling people to get jabbed

Australians have condemned a government commercial which shows a young woman in hospital desperately trying to breathe as a warning to get vaccinated, with many pointing out that those in her age group cannot yet book a jab.

The graphic ad, which is set to run in Sydney - the largest city in Australia, and the one hit hardest by Covid - shows the woman panting with tears in her eyes as she is hooked up to a respirator in hospital. "Covid-19 can affect anyone. Stay home. Get tested. Book your vaccination," the ad concludes.

Many Australians were quick to criticize what they deemed to be an inappropriate government ad, given Prime Minister Scott Morrison's failure to secure enough Covid-19 vaccines for the entire population, and recent coronavirus blunders.

Covid-19 vaccine leaflet is left behind on a door during door-knock campaign in Detroit, Michigan, US, May 4, 2021
Amid growing privacy concerns over the Biden administration's effort to promote Covid-19 jabs among unvaccinated Americans, a document has resurfaced outlining "helpful hints" for the so-called "health ambassadors."

The toolkit, dubbed 'Door Knocking Project to Increase COVID Vaccine Acceptance', and a training video for the so-called "health ambassadors" were released by the Lake County, Illinois authorities back in April, but only caught public attention this week after President Joe Biden announced a shift towards taking the pro-vaccination message "door-to-door."

Comment: Apparently the concept of inalienable rights in the US is being reconsidered and instead the government will now grant them as it sees fit:

NY Times ripped for defending 'pornography literacy' for first graders

'These people are sick and need to be institutionalized or incarcerated'

Concerned parents and media critics swatted the New York Times on Thursday after the newspaper heralded Justine Ang Fonte, a New York teacher who recently became infamous for her sexual education curriculum for children and young adults, as a "sex-positive educator," and called her lessons "pornography literacy."

For seven years, Fonte was the director of health and wellness at the Dalton School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. In May, she was invited to teach two Zoom lessons on "pornography literacy and consent" to juniors and seniors at the Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School on the Upper West Side. Those lessons reportedly included some "masturbation" images, outraging parents and eventually leading to her resignation.

Comment: Good to see parents finally pushing back against this creeping lunacy.

Hundreds of Thai medical workers infected despite Sinovac, multiple 'boosters' including DIFFERENT Covid vaccines being considered

Thailand's health ministry said on Sunday more than 600 medical workers who received two doses of China's Sinovac vaccine have been infected with COVID-19, as authorities weigh giving booster doses to raise immunity.

Of the 677,348 medical personnel who received two doses of Sinovac, 618 became infected, health ministry data from April to July showed. A nurse has died and another medical worker is in critical condition.

Comment: The problem with under-reporting means that it's likely more recipients were infected.

Comment: Vaccine manufacturers are now openly admitting that their experimental products do not prevent infection, reinfection nor transmission, just that they may reduce the severity of the infection. Recent headlines are revealing that they may also come with a variety of severe, unexpected side effects:

Journalist Vicky Ward recorded personal threats from Jeffrey Epstein in 2002

Prosecutors in New York show a picture of Ghislaine Maxwell with Jeffrey Epstein as they announced charges against her last July.
Ghislaine Maxwell and I crossed paths soon after I moved to New York in 1997.

Though she was a few years older than me, we were both English, Oxbridge-educated and would sometimes be invited to the same parties. She was pin-thin, expensively dressed, funny, fun, clever, worldly and the effortless centre of attention.

She talked about sex a lot — and she liked to behave outrageously. During one Manhattan dinner I heard about, she told a British movie star to lie face-down on the floor; she jumped on his back and gave him a massage right there on the ground in front of everyone. Even as people laughed, one observer wondered if what she was doing was not inappropriate.

Usually, she was by herself. I had no idea whether or not she had a boyfriend.

But then, in the autumn of 2002, I was assigned to write an article for Vanity Fair magazine about an intriguing and very rich man called Jeffrey Epstein. I soon discovered that Ghislaine had had a complicated relationship with Epstein for over a decade.

Here we go again: France fears 'rapid' COVID-19 fourth wave as Delta variant doubles in one week

The French government warned on Wednesday that the country may soon face a fourth wave of COVID-19 as the more contagious Delta variant is fast spreading in the country.

"The risk of a rapid fourth wave is here," said government spokesman Gabriel Attal at a regularly scheduled press briefing.

The Delta variant, which was first detected in India, now accounts for 40% of new infections, up from 20% last week, the French official said.

He noted that the incidence rate increased by 21% nationwide, even reaching a concerning 91% in Paris.

Comment: Really. How are they even testing for it??

In total, 11 French regions have seen their incidence rates increase over the past week, Attal said.

In this context, Attal urged the French population to engage in "mass vaccination," noting that the number of appointments for first doses had increased again after slowing down in recent weeks.

Comment: Considering the tone of the French gov. here, we wouldn't be surprised to see a whole new slew of lockdowns, "precautionary" measures, drives to vaccinate, vaccinate, vaccinate, and hysteria - coming from the mouth pieces in the media.

But will the public go for it?

Workers oversee an excavator dig through the rubble of the collapsed 12-story Champlain Towers South condo building on Friday.
Seventeen days into responding to a condominium collapse, officials in Surfside, Fla., say the total number of confirmed dead has risen to 86. Police and medical examiners are working around the clock to notify victims as work at the collapse site intensifies, officials say.

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said 62 of the victims have so far been identified, with next of kin of 61 of them having been notified of the deaths.

Using information from the post office, driver's licenses and the building roster, Levine Cava said work continues to audit a list of those who have been accounted for in the collapse.

Poll: Majority of Americans now believe COVID was leaked from Wuhan lab

A new Politico-Harvard study finds that a majority of Americans now believe COVID was leaked from the Wuhan lab, underscoring again the danger of empowering 'fact-checkers', media outlets and Silicon Valley to censor information.

The poll found that 52% of Americans believe the lab leak hypothesis, once derided as a fringe "conspiracy theory," including 59% of Republicans and 52% of Democrats.

Bipartisan support for the theory is highly unusual, with poll designer Bob Blendon commenting, "Usually, our polls find a big split between Republicans and Democrats, so this is unique."
