Society's Child
Ciara Howard, 26, was shot and killed by police in August 2017, and when a portion of the body camera footage was released, it showed her standing in her laundry room, waving a handgun at officers while they screamed at her to drop the weapon. She did not comply, and the officers opened fire, shooting and killing her.
The first release of the footage made it look as though the officers may have been justified in taking Howard's life-clearly, she was pointing a gun directly at them when they began shooting. But there is much more to the story, and a lawsuit filed by the Kansas City Star has resulted in the release of footage that shows the officers disobeying orders and choosing to use excessive force.
Howard was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and she had a history of addiction, both of which sent her into a downward spiral with the law that she failed to recover from. As the Star reported, "At times when she slipped, she incurred criminal charges. Intoxicated conflicts with her mother led to arrests. Then, when she failed to meet court requirements-missing appearances, shunning substance abuse classes-more charges came."
After cheerleading tryouts insanely cut some kids from the process, Morris County School received a complaint from an angry parent that their child should be allowed on the team. The concept of "tryouts" was apparently lost on the parent. And now, well, it is lost on the school who decided to cut the process of cutting kids during a tryout.
So, it's no longer a tryout.
Now any child can make the cheerleading squad. Clearly, the cheerleading squad is going to be terrible, but worse more, all kids are once again, receiving a trophy no matter how good they are. Bad cheerleading squads and entitled kids is just poor form.
Harvard-educated activist writer Tanya Selvaratnam told the New Yorker magazine that her yearlong affair with Schneiderman "was a fairytale that became a nightmare" - and quickly escalated into violence in the bedroom, even as he begged for threesomes.
"Sometimes, he'd tell me to call him Master, and he'd slap me until I did," Selvaratnam said.
"He started calling me his 'brown slave' and demanding that I repeat that I was 'his property.'"
Selvaratnam said, "The slaps started after we'd gotten to know each other.
"It was at first as if he were testing me. Then it got stronger and harder. It wasn't consensual. This wasn't sexual playacting. This was abusive, demeaning, threatening behavior."
As more details emerge in the case of the elite Hollywood sex cult NXIVM, it seems that the story goes even deeper than was first reported. There is growing evidence that this alleged self-help group was just a front for a human trafficking ring. It has also been revealed that this group has close ties with high-power ruling class families, including the Rothschilds, Clintons, and Bronfmans.
According to the charges, Smallville actress Allison Mack was a member of the cult and worked in a management position. As second-in-command, it was her job to lure women into the programs under the pretense of female empowerment and self-help workshops, to then convince them to sign up for a more "advanced program" called Dominus Obsequious Sororium, which required these women to basically turn the lives over to cult leader Keith Raniere. Dominus Obsequious Sororium is a quasi-Latin phrase that roughly translates to "Master Over the Slave Women."
Comment: Ben Swann ran a segment on Mack's arrest:
Capitalizing on his credentials as a historian, over the past decade Snyder has positioned himself as a public intellectual, shifting from academic histories to more popular works, writing for magazines like The New Republic and The New York Review of Books, and appearing often on the national and international speaking circuits. His first popular success was 2010's Bloodlands: Europe Between Hitler and Stalin, which set out to tell the story of the millions of people - especially Jews, Ukrainians, and Poles - who were killed between 1933 and 1945 in the area between central Poland and western Russia. Drawing on a wide range of sources, Bloodlands offered a conceptual revision, grouping the victims of Hitler and Stalin together and arguing that the Nazi and Soviet governments spurred each other on to increased violence.
Comment: What a deranged mind this critter has.
Masters of rhetoric with no (or a skewed) moral compass have been around since forever. Their flowery prose still holds sway over truth.
The scary part is that large portions of Western populations eat this stuff up.
The good news is that they're not the majority.
(We hope!)
"For folks worried about stretching their nest egg, even a few years spent in a good-value place abroad can make a big difference on the bottom line. Moving overseas can be a solid strategy for shoring up savings," according to Jennifer Stevens, executive editor of International Living.com.
Stevens said the expatriate option is enticing many Americans.
"It's never been easier to retire overseas - the infrastructure is better than ever, technology keeps you connected to family and friends back home, and there is a wealth of safe, welcoming, beautiful options overseas," she said.

Televangelist Jim Bakker suggested his followers and those who want to survive the end of the world to buy one of his cabins in Missouri's Ozark Mountains, he markets as a safe spot in the times of the Apocalypse. The outlet Belleville News-Democrat reports that the televangelist cited some researches by the government and NASA, which prove that Morningside, Missouri, where he accidentally started his real estate venture.

Comment: With all the money they get to spend on heavily arming themselves, one would think they would be able to spend a bit of money to better train their officers or at least get someone to the scene that knows how to handle the situation.
