The woman was sitting in the bleachers with her mother when she got into an altercation with the cop about mask-wearing at a middle school in the town of Logan, the Marietta Times reported.
Video of the incident, which was posted to YouTube, shows the woman resisting as the officer struggles to handcuff her for nearly two minutes before he deploys his Taser.

Jamie Smith - who describes herself as a 40-something "attorney and mother who cares about civil rights" - wrote for HuffPost Personal that last week's death of the 87-year-old liberal judge drove her to join the Satanic Temple, not out of grief but out of fear.

The frontrunners in the US and western Europe's quest to develop a coronavirus vaccine - Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Moderna - have published their trial protocols in response to growing public unease over the rapid rollout of the promised coronavirus magic bullet. They reveal an overwhelming emphasis on being first to secure emergency approval from the relevant regulators, suggesting the companies' goal is maximum profits rather than ensuring the physical health of the hundreds of millions of people who will be expected to line up for vaccination.
Russia's Sputnik V vaccine was excoriated in western media for seeking just such an emergency approval months ago. Ironically, the same publications that have denounced so-called "anti-vaxxers" as "the enemy" and called for locking them up as a public health threat flirted with similar rhetoric to cast doubt on the safety of the Russian shot.

Similar to how YouTube used machine learning techniques to try to better catch violent extremism and more of the platform's most severe content in 2018, and then in 2019 to find videos that included hateful conduct, the same approach will be used in this case to automatically flag videos YouTube deems not age-appropriate. As a result, YouTube is expecting to see far more videos pop up with age-gated restrictions.
The company is preparing for there to be some mistakes in labeling, as is the case with any rollout of AI moderation tech. And as part of the changes, people watching YouTube videos embedded on third-party sites will be redirected to YouTube to sign in and verify their age.
Comment: This seems like just another means of soft censorship for YouTube. Videos dealing with content deemed 'mature' will likely include anything political, and there are some concerns that age restricted videos won't be able to be embedded on outside websites. Similarly, if not subscribed to a particular channel, you will not be able to see videos on that channel that are age restricted. There is little doubt that the timing of this move has everything to do with the upcoming election. Many YouTube creators, who depend on the platform for revenue, are very nervous about the future. Some demonstrators in Montreal on Saturday carried signs and wore T-shirts and hats denouncing what they called fear campaigns by the Quebec government, suggesting that the danger of COVID-19 has been overstated.
Every aspect of your life will be monitored and controlled, as we move towards the ultimate surveillance State. Your ability to work, to socialise, to travel, conduct business, access public services and to purchase essential goods and services will be dictated to you, and restricted, by the State, based upon your biosecurity or immunity status.
This transformation process is well underway. You are no longer a human being, you are a biosecurity risk. As such you may be removed to a military controlled quarantine camp as and when the State sees fit. Detention without trial will be the norm. All protest will be outlawed unless the protest suits the agenda of the parasite class.
My reluctance is not just down to the government's lousy record with technology - to judge by the booking system for Covid tests it won't be long before baffled Aberdonians who haven't left their city for six months start getting texts telling them to self-isolate on the grounds that the system tracked them standing next to someone in a bar in Putney. It is more that I don't see what is in it for me to volunteer to be fined £10,000.
The incentive structure which Hancock has created is bizarre. He is relying on our public-spiritedness to download the app -- telling us that for every person who downloads it we will be a little bit safer.
But then he is threatening to use the full weight of the law to punish people who lapse after having been told by the app to self-isolate. One little walk, one little trip down the park and that app will presumably be capable of catching you out and springing you with a fine.

Dr. Mike Yeadon, a former Vice President and Chief Science Officer for Pfizer for 16 years, says that half or even "almost all" of tests for COVID are false positives. Dr. Yeadon also argues that the threshold for herd immunity may be much lower than previously thought, and may have been reached in many countries already.
In an interview last week Dr. Yeadon was asked:
"we are basing a government policy, an economic policy, a civil liberties policy, in terms of limiting people to six people in a meeting...all based on, what may well be, completely fake data on this coronavirus?"Dr. Yeadon answered with a simple "yes."

City lawmakers passed the budget cut in an 11-4 vote on Wednesday evening, taking a sizable portion of the department's total $24 million overtime fund and investing it into other "public safety" efforts, such as better public lighting in crime-ridden areas.
Mayor Johnson has repeatedly opposed the move, labeling the measure "police defunding," which he said was not the right decision as Dallas faces an "uptick" in violent crime.
"I don't know how any of us can look at that and say it's the right time to cut back on police overtime," Johnson told city council members earlier this month.
There are a number of reasons given for the dramatic shift in population, but two specific reasons stand above the rest: Economy and political ideals. The pandemic itself is only a minor motivator. Consider the fact that residents of California left the state in droves for Texas over the summer DESPITE the problem of Covid infection spikes in major metropolitan areas of the Lone Star State. People didn't care, they just wanted to get the hell out of California as quickly as possible.
Again, a main reason given by former Californians was politics. They are conservatives or moderates that felt isolated or trapped in a far-left cesspool and they realized their future life prospects depended on them transplanting to a more free and less bureaucratic place.

The UK recorded some 6,634 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, the highest daily figure yet. The country's total Covid-19 tally has surpassed 400,000 cases, with nearly 42 thousand deaths.
The vast majority of the new cases - 5,632 - come from England, the official figures show. Scotland has reported 465 new patients, Wales 348 and Northern Ireland only 189. Some 40 people succumbed to the disease during the past 24 hours, bringing the nation's total death toll above the 41,900 mark.
The new number is higher than the previous record, which was registered during the first peak of the virus spread in spring. It also constituted an increase of around 500 compared to yesterday's total of 6,178.
The 'record' comes as Health Secretary Matt Hancock warned that up to 10,000 people are contracting the dreaded disease across the country every day.
"That's too high but it is still much lower than in the peak," he told Sky News on Thursday, adding that such numbers are still lower than the spring when it was estimated that around 100,000 people were catching it per day (though only a fraction of those were being found through testing).

Comment: So she deserved to be tased and arrested? As disgusting as this is, we should get used to the idea that we're going to be seeing a lot more of this. And it's not just the US - here's one from Spain, where an officer is seen kneeling on the neck of a 14-year-old boy for wearing his mask the wrong way:
Meanwhile in England, a London Overground passenger was forcibly removed from the train after arguing with transport police officers over a face mask. Apparently not wearing a mask is now such an egregious crime that it will be met with police violence. You've been warned.
