Designer Aurora James called her "Tax the Rich" dress for Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a "powerful message" — but it's not one she has taken to heart.

The 37-year-old fashionista who made waves at the Met Gala with Democratic-Socialist AOC last week is a notorious tax deadbeat with unpaid debts dogging her in multiple states, records show.

Most of luxe-living James' arrears center on Cultural Brokerage Agency, an LLC she formed in 2011 to serve as the parent company of her fashion brand, which today is known as Brother Vellies. It's a favorite of people like Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Meghan Markle.

The Department of Justice on Friday announced criminal charges against 42 medical professionals and nearly 100 other people for alleged health-care fraud that involved about $1.4 billion in suspected losses.

The cases charged include ones that involved the use of telemedicine services as part of the fraud, which alone accounted for approximately $1.1 billion in alleged losses from false and fraudulent claims. Telemedicine employs communications technology to evaluate and treat patients remotely.

The telemedicine cases built on prosecutions launched in 2019 and 2020, which involved allegations of billing Medicare for fraudulent genetic cancer testing, and telemedicine executives paying doctors and others to order unnecessary durable medical equipment, diagnostic testing and medications, either without actually interacting with patients or having a brief call with ones they had never met or seen.

"Narcissistic psychopath": New York property heir found guilty of murdering friend two decades ago, suspected of two others

FILE PHOTO: Durst's trial had been put on hold during part of the pandemic.
Robert Durst, now aged 78, was the subject of an HBO documentary in 2015 called The Jinx, in which he apparently confessed to three murders.

New York multi-millionaire and property heir Robert Durst has been convicted of his best friend's murder in a case that has fascinated America for years following an infamous TV documentary.

A jury in Los Angeles reached the guilty verdict after a total of just seven hours of deliberation over three days.

They concluded that he shot his friend Susan Berman in her Los Angeles home in December 2000.

During the trial, prosecutors told the court that he had killed Ms Berman to prevent her telling police what she knew about the disappearance and suspected killing of his wife, Kathleen McCormack Durst, in New York in 1982.

Ms Berman told friends she had provided a phony alibi for Durst after his wife, then aged 29, vanished.

Anthony Fauci dismissed masks in 2019 as a 'paranoid' tool

WH medical Advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci • David Rubenstein
White House medical adviser Anthony Fauci once dismissed wearing a mask to prevent infectious disease as a "paranoid" tool, laughing at the prospect during a 2019 sit-down interview on The David Rubenstein Show.

During the interview, which aired May 22, 2019, nearly a year before the Chinese coronavirus pandemic hit, Rubenstein and Fauci discussed infectious diseases, vaccines, and measures of protection to prevent illness. At the end of the interview, Rubenstein asked the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director to weigh in on the best way to protect oneself from infectious disease.
"And the best way to prevent me from getting an infectious disease and having to have you as my doctor is what? Wearing a mask — " he began, triggering a quick dismissal from Fauci.

"No, no, no," Fauci said, letting out a laugh.

"I don't need to do that," Rubenstein said following Fauci's reaction. "If somebody's- I can see they're getting ready to sneeze or cough, walk away?"

"You avoid all the paranoid aspects and do something positive," Fauci responded, seemingly categorizing mask-wearing as a tool of the "paranoid."

"A. Good diet. B. You don't smoke, I know. I know you don't drink. At least not very much, so that's pretty good. Get some exercise. I know that you don't get as much exercise as you should," Fauci continued.

"Get good sleep. I think the normal, low tech healthy things are the best things you can do, David, to stay healthy," Fauci added. The original video of that conversation may be watched at Bloomberg.com.
This is hardly the first time Fauci has dismissed the need for masks. During a 60 Minutes interview in March 2020, at the start of the pandemic, he suggested masks provided more psychological relief than anything else.

Comment: Fauci has the credibility of a wind sock in a tornado. The video is probably the closest he gets to disavowing masks (but he can't quite do it).

Reuters poll: Lowest approval of presidency for Joe Biden

US President Joe Biden
President Joe Biden's approval continued to slide Friday as he received the lowest numbers from a Reuters/Ipsos poll amid growing criticism focused on his Chinese coronavirus pandemic response and botched Afghanistan withdrawal.

The poll, which was conducted nationally this week and collected responses from more Democrats than Republicans, revealed just 44 percent of adults in the United States approve of Biden's performance in office.

Comment: That would account for his numbers not tanking further!

The poll noted the president's popularity has slowly been declining since mid-August when he botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan, resulting in the death of 13 U.S. servicemembers and the Afghan government collapsing.

Biden's response to the Chinese coronavirus pandemic also dropped below 50 percent for the first time in his presidency. Only about 48 percent approved Biden's Chinese coronavirus-related policies, compared to the 46 percent who disapproved of the policies.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll was conducted online between September 15 and 16 through the United States.

There were 1,005 adults respondents who were weighted more towards the Democrat's side, with 442 Democrats and 360 Republicans. The poll's margin of error was four percentage points.

Taliban ban girls from secondary education in Afghanistan

Girls attend school in Herat, Afghanistan
The Taliban have effectively banned girls from secondary education in Afghanistan, by ordering high schools to re-open only for boys.

Girls were not mentioned in Friday's announcement, which means boys will be back at their desks next week after a one-month hiatus, while their sisters will still be stuck at home.

The Taliban education ministry said secondary school classes for boys in grades seven to 12 would resume on Saturday, the start of the Afghan week. "All male teachers and students should attend their educational institutions," the statement said. The future of girls and female teachers, stuck at home since the Taliban took control, was not addressed.

The edict makes Afghanistan the only country on earth to bar half its population from getting a secondary education.

In a further sign that the recently announced Taliban government is tightening restrictions on women, the former ministry of women's affairs building in Kabul has been handed over to the newly re-established ministry for the prevention of vice and promotion of virtue.

MindMatters: The Rise of Homo Americanus with Zbigniew Janowski

Was the fall of Soviet communism 30 years ago a liberation, or just the replacement of one totalitarian ideology with another? Today on MindMatters we interview Polish philosopher Zbigniew Janowski about his recent book, Homo Americanus: The Rise of Totalitarian Democracy in America. In a quest to understand current trends in American society and politics, Professor Janowski revisited the classics: Dostoevsky, Zamyatin, Orwell, and especially Huxley. His collection of meditations on the totalitarianism metastasizing in the West today rums the gamut from ideology and politics to psychology and technology. Join us as we discuss Zbigniew's book, his experiences in Poland, the U.S., and Canada, teaching, and thorny topics like equality, hierarchy, and perhaps the most controversial of all of them: gendered language!

White men are now almost extinct on university campuses - and that's exactly what feminists want

From Malaysia to the US, women are dominating higher education in record numbers, but don't expect quotas or diversity measures to tackle the inequality. For gender activists, this is just the latest victory in a long-running war.

It was always going to happen. And now it's official: women outnumber men at American universities on a scale that's never been seen before. Not just slightly, or by a considerable margin, but by record, unprecedented levels.

By the end of the 2020-21 academic year, women constituted 60% of college students across American campuses, while men made up just 40%, according to the National Student Clearinghouse research group.

Nicki Minaj exposes media mafia: Posts private messages from reporters threatening her family members

Nicki Minaj vaccine harrassment

Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj is facing a true reality check after speaking out about wanting to be fully informed before she took the rushed Covid-19 vaccine. Now, she is dealing with a constant stream of backlash from the establishment, including big tech who locked her out of her Twitter account for a few hours yesterday for her dissent.

The White House even offered to give her a call to "educate" her about what is acceptable to say and think under their tyrannical regime, but she declined.

The censorship of free-thinking individuals who question any part of the approved narrative is nothing new, and now thanks to Minaj's platform with millions of followers - over 150 million on Instagram alone - more people are waking up to what's going on.

Sharlene Rampersad: "If you speak to me, we won't reveal those details."

Translation: "I'm making you an offer you can't refuse."

The pearl-clutching by The Guardian would be hilarious if it wasn't so disingenuous about its employee's underhanded tactics.

Antifa-scourge Andy Ngo weighed in:

Apparently Minaj's message has sparked some unwelcome attention to the CDC. Fox News reports:
Nicki Minaj's tweets expressing her reservations about taking the COVID-19 vaccine prompted a group of her fans to launch a protest outside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters in Atlanta on Wednesday, with one outspoken supporter insisting, "We should all question this vaccine."

The demonstrators - who all wore masks and medical gloves - chanted, "Nicki Minaj told me the truth! Fauci lied to me!" according to footage taken by WGCL-TV.

Minaj said earlier this week via Twitter that she had not yet taken the jab, and was still researching whether to get vaccinated. She also made waves by telling fans that her cousin's friend in Trinidad experienced impotence and swollen testicles after receiving a coronavirus vaccine, a claim that numerous politicos and health officials dismissed.

Critics accused the rapper of spreading misinformation about COVID-19 with the claim regarding her cousin's friend's purported reaction to the vaccine, but Twitter said it saw no violation of its rules in her posts.
Tucker Carlson added his support for Minaj:

AP blames incident on 'staff error'

On Tuesday night over 350,000 ballots tabulated in the recall election in California disappeared on live TV. The AP responded yesterday that this issue occurred due to a human error.

On Tuesday night on CNN live in front of a national audience over 350,000 ballots calling for the California recall suddenly disappeared.

This is similar to the many 'glitches' we uncovered after the 2020 Election where ballots seemingly disappeared.
