Not only did Timothy not criticise Soros as a Jew, he didn't even refer to him as a Jew. But it seems the fact that Soros is a Jew was enough to censure Timothy as an 'antisemite.' It took no more.
Stephen Bush wrote in The New Statesman , "The reason that many find the Telegraph's treatment so disturbing is that Soros, who is Jewish, has been at the centre of a series of anti-Semitic conspiracies by the increasingly authoritarian governments in Poland, Hungary and Turkey." It is mildly amusing that the banal Stephen Bush can't see that he himself employs an authoritarian manner of thought. Unless guilt by association has become Britain's press' MO, the fact that some regimes not approved of by Bush or The New Statesman decided to cleanse themselves of Soros' infiltration has little relevance to Timothy or his argument.
Bush adds that "Timothy was the author of that 'citizens of nowhere' speech only adds to feeling among many that the original speech was a coded way of talking about "rootless cosmopolitans"; aka the Jewish people." This passage describes a kosherly coded minefield that we can not possibly navigate unless Bush and The New Statesman provide us with the complete newspeak lexicon.
As a result, the state is going broke. Teachers haven't gotten a raise in 10 years and the only way they can afford to accept the pay -- third-worst in the nation -- is by negotiating a four-day school week in 90 districts, freeing teachers up to take jobs at Walmart on Mondays to make ends meet.
Teachers are fleeing the state in droves, including the Teacher of the Year, who quit his job in 2016 shortly after receiving his award, taking a better-paid teaching job in a neighboring state (the Dallas school system actively recruits Oklahoma teachers with Oklahoma City hiring booths).
Comment: It's a sign of internal decay and skewed priorities when tax cuts for corporations take precedence over teachers. What kind of generation will be raised if today's children are receiving a completely substandard education? See also:

Top staff at Oxfam paid Haitian prostitutes for sex in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, it has been claimed.
Senior aid workers were found to have paid for sex while involved in the massive cleanup operation after the natural disaster killed 220,000 people and left millions more homeless, the Times reports.
The charity, which receives £300million a year in government funding, conducted an internal investigation which led to three men being sacked for gross misconduct.
'Imperialism on Trial': The words and speeches of writers and activists in Derry, Ireland conference
Organized by Derry resident Gregory Sharkey, the panelists addressed a wide range of issues. As one of the speakers, author Neil Clark, wrote:
"Five passionate and well-informed speakers, who included the former British Ambassador to Syria Peter Ford, detailed the carnage and chaos that has been unleashed around the globe by the aggressive, warmongering policies of the US and its closest allies. The full panel is online from RT's livestream recording:
In an interview with Infowars' Alex Jones, Schiff details what we can all expect from the economy. And even though Trump has fought to save the economy, the federal reserve is working against the president. "Unfortunately, he is the fall guy. There's no way to stop this," Shiff begins.
"The problem is so big that the minute the Fed has to try to solve it, it's gonna unleash a much bigger one [problem]," Shiff says. Jones begins his intro by not sugar coating the problem the economy is in thanks to government interference. The economy is a giant bubble and it will pop at some point, not just deflate.
Comment: Pave the way for Communism ?! How 'bout pave the way for major civil unrest!?
It's unclear whether the message was received by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who was attending the event. The brief red-carpet stunt was shown live on TV. The topless activist was heard shouting anti-Poroshenko slogans as several police were taking her away.
In a Facebook post, FEMEN said that their 'sextremist' Alisa Vinogradova was "a Queen of Spades" at the event, calling for the "Ukrainian chocolate baron" Poroshenko to be expelled from the ball.
Already feeling the downward pressure of low prices for their products, local farmers were up in arms over re-zoning plans that would see them effectively made redundant because their farms would no longer be entitled to EU subsidies. But the crisis appears to have been temporarily solved after French Minister of Agriculture committed Thursday to leaving intact subsidies for most of the affected communes in Midi-Pyrenees and Aquitaine.
Rural colere against Paris and Brussels is sure to flare up again soon because President Macron hinted just last month that he is willing to consider a complete overhaul of the EU's Common Agricultural Policy, something French governments have until now always strongly defended because France's rural communities are particularly dependent on EU subsidies.
French national media largely ignored the farmers' protests - after all, so long as peripheral matters don't directly impact Paris, then tant pis - although they did sit up and take notice when the siege of Toulouse became really serious earlier this week. In the meantime, a number of other protests across France in the last ten days or so have contributed to a pronounced sense of national gloom.
To make it more specific - whose money makes the Olympics roll?
There's arguably no sleeker money-making machine in the world than the IOC currently is - selling its name & symbols for a major buck. But let's address common misconceptions first.

More than 200 companies, including Home Depot Inc , American Airlines Group Inc and AT&T Inc , are giving bonuses to at least 3 million U.S. workers, according to the conservative Americans for Tax Reform group.
Reuters has interviewed people around the country on the benefits they have received so far. While they welcome the additional income, the cuts have largely not changed individuals' longstanding views on Trump or the two major political parties.
Comment: The lamestream media, true to form, makes sure that those with negative opinions of Trump are given a prominent voice, despite evidence that the tax overhaul is bringing relief to millions of Americans.
