Media company posts wanted ad for sales exec with 'psychopathic qualities'

hiring psychopath
Research conducted by Bond University found around one in five corporate bosses are psychopaths - a proportion similar to that among prisoners

A broadcast and media agency is looking for a sales executive with psychopathic tendencies.

Existing studies on psychopaths have made the startling claim that many top corporate executives exhibit psychopathic behaviours such as narcissism, superficial charm, lack of concern for others, and selfishness.

But this has not prevented Radio Relations to advertise for a "Psychopathic new business media sales executive" with "some of the positive qualities" that psychopaths have.

Forced to flee, an Aleppo resident's ordeal in 'Death Corridor'

The way out of Aleppo's Bustan al-Qasr, Syria
Khaled Kadura, a small business owner, and his family were forced to flee eastern Aleppo, leaving everything they had behind, because Ahrar al-Sham rebels turned their life into a "tragedy," terrorizing those who could not fight back and spreading lies about Damascus, he told Sputnik.

This is his story:
For Khaled, who hired out furniture for weddings, and other Aleppo residents the war came as a surprise. No one could have said that their lives would change so dramatically in an instant, but this is exactly what happened on July 26, 2012.
"Everything was peaceful when we fell asleep on the fifth day of Ramadan in 2012. When we woke up, the rebels were there. Initially they took control of the police station, killing law enforcement officers and imposed a curfew," he recalled. "Then they started terrorizing those who could not fight back."
The rebels showered locals with promises of a better life and threats of what Damascus and its forces would do to them, but those were empty words. The militants turned schools and hospitals into command centers. As a result, Khaled's eight-year-old son and others children could no longer go to school.

A business owner in Manhattan is suing the city after being forced to waive his fourth amendment rights and potentially forfeit his business because an NYPD officer sold illegal goods at his store.

You read that right.

According to a lawsuit filed this month by the Institute for Justice, a libertarian legal advocacy group, an undercover NYPD detective attempted to sell stolen electronics to customers at Sung Cho's laundromat in Inwood, which located near the northern tip of Manhattan, in 2013. After the officer successfully sold stolen goods to two people — one inside the store and one outside — the city threatened Cho with eviction "merely because a 'stolen property' offense had happened at his business," the legal organization's website explained.

Institute for Justice (IJ), which takes on cases involving the suppression of free speech, eminent domain, and civil asset forfeiture, among other government encroachments, detailed Cho's case:

The Lafayette Police Department is being evicted from Desco Plaza because there are not enough parking spots for all of their police cruisers. Actor Mark Ruffalo donates solar panels to Dakota pipeline protests

In a show of kindness and solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux, actor Mark Ruffalo and Native Renewables founder Wahleah Johns presented Sioux tribal elders with mobile trailers equipped with solar collection arrays. The trailers provide a clean energy source for the protest encampment where over 500 Native American tribes have taken a stand against the Dakota Access Pipeline in the largest gathering of American Indians in modern history.

"This pipeline is a black snake that traverses four states and 200 waterways with fracked Bakken oil," said Ruffalo, co-founder of The Solutions Project, a venture that works to transition society to clean and renewable energy.

"We know from experience that pipelines leak, explode, pollute and poison land and water. But it doesn't have to be that way."

The solar trailers will allow for medical tents and numerous other critical facilities to be powered with clean energy, and represent exactly the healthy/abundant future of energy for which the Standing Rock Sioux are currently fighting.

Cop wrecks his patrol car into utility pole and flees the scene

officer Daniel Kenney
An award-winning California state trooper was caught on camera fleeing the scene after crashing his patrol car into a parked vehicle and a utility pole, snapping it in half, on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.

When other officers approached and asked him to explain what happened, officer Daniel Kenney refused to get out of the vehicle. With at least three officers surrounding the front end of the car, Kenney reverses and then speeds away past a cameraman across the street.

Kenney, a state park K-9 officer, is now on paid administrative leave.

Demonstrators attend a protest against the investiture of acting Prime Minister and Popular Party leader Mariano Rajoy in Madrid, Spain, October 29, 2016.
Several thousand demonstrators took to the streets of Madrid on Saturday to protest against conservative politician Mariano Rajoy, who is set to recover his former position as prime minister after winning a vote of confidence.

Around 3,000 protesters marched through central Madrid on Saturday afternoon chanting "against the mafia coup, democracy!" "no to the coup mafia" and "the president is a crook," with some holding up pictures depicting the Spanish PM and his supporters as mobsters. Others chanted "Felipe, putschist, you're a fascist," in reference to Felipe Gonzalez, the former socialist leader who is blamed for letting Rajoy back into power.

Hollande vows to tear down any improvised migrant camps that spring up

President Francois Hollande has vowed to tear down any improvised migrant camps that may spring up after the closure of the infamous 'Jungle' in Calais, saying that France "will not tolerate" such chaotic sites anymore.

Speaking at a reception center for asylum seekers in Maine-et-Loire, Hollande reflected on the dismantling of the infamous camp at Calais and promised to deal with any more camps in exactly the same manner.

"This is not sustainable. We will do the same operation as Calais and welcome them to the [reception] centers," he said. "We could no longer tolerate the camps and we will not tolerate them."

A sex addict Church of England vicar who took part in orgies, visited gay saunas and collected "perverted" pornography has been sacked after his estranged wife exposed his double life.

Reverend James Day's actions amounted to "conduct unbecoming and inappropriate," a Church of England tribunal found. It has banned him from ministry for life.

Speaking at the tribunal in London, Birte Day said she had collected evidence showing her husband had taken part in group sex, attempted to set up meetings with prostitutes and used a fake name to meet new partners.

She said her husband had stored "a substantial amount" of porn on his computer, which she collected on memory sticks presented to the tribunal, according to the Telegraph.

"There were about 50 short films of men and women in scenes of sexual pleasure and orgies, at least 100 sketches of naked women being tortured and burned, a scene of a gladiator being hit and tortured, many images of naked young men... and other sexually explicit material."

Israeli speaker claims he was more scared trapped in a room by Palestinian protesters at London University than he was in the IDF

Police were called after pro-Palestinian protesters stormed an Israel event at a London university, yelling "shame, shame" and trapping attendees in the room the talk was being held in, it has been reported.

Israeli activist Hen Mazzig was addressing a group at University College London (UCL) on Thursday about the conflict between Israel and Palestine when protesters from the Friends of Palestine Society tried to stop his speech by chanting:"From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free."

Comment: While violence is never condoned, the anger that groups such as Friends of Palestine feel is certainly justified, their violence is a mal-formed expression of this rage, possibly due to no actual change coming about. Instead of condemning the Pro-Palestinian protesters maybe the Union of Jewish students could look in the mirror and apply what they have accused the protesters of creating: "a wall of intolerance and intimidation aimed at shutting down free speech." to what their own nation is doing to the Palestinians.
