Nicola Sturgeon has delayed the enforcement of her "botched" vaccine passport scheme after the hospitality industry warned it was unworkable and a sharp drop in Covid cases raised more doubts over why it was needed.
Only days before the scheme comes into force, at 5am on Friday, the First Minister announced she was giving the premises where it would apply another two-and-a-half weeks to prepare.
The Orlando Magic's Jonathan Isaac defended his decision not to get the COVID-19 jab on Monday night as a freedom that should be afforded to everyone.
"I thank God, I'm grateful that I live in a society where vaccines are possible and we can protect ourselves and have the means to protect ourselves in the first place. But with that being said, it is my belief that the vaccine status of every person should be their own choice and completely up to them without the bullying, without being pressured, or without being forced into doing so," Isaac said.
Comment: Isaac might be one of the most free-thinking and eloquent players in professional sports. His argument is reasonable, which is clearly making it difficult for the press to smear him as an antivaxxer nutcase (although they're trying to do it anyway).

Another Ontario doctor has been called on the carpet for questionable activities related to COVID-19 misinformation.
One week after a Richmond Hill doctor drew large crowds of people seeking vaccine exemptions, a Timiskiming-area physician is facing restrictions by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
In a release issued this morning, the College said allegations that Dr. Patrick Phillips is incompetent and engaged in "disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct," have been referred to the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal.
"In light of Dr. Phillips' refusal to co-operate with the College's investigation or comply with our remedial efforts, the College is further imposing restrictions," the statement said.Restrictions that took effect at 11:59 p.m. Sept. 27 prevent Phillips from providing medical exemptions in relation to masks, vaccines and testing for COVID-19. He is also restricted from providing ivermectin, Fluvoxamine and Atorvastatin in relation to the coronavirus — medications that are unproven and potentially dangerous.
Comment: Canada, like many other countries in the world, is becoming a totalitarian state. Doctors and medical staff who disagree with the official party lines and actually want to follow the science are removed from their positions, threatened and sanctioned. Everybody must comply with the official narrative and obey the rules no matter what. It doesn't matter if those rules have anything to do with science and public health. They are even monitoring their social media accounts, what they talk and write about, and what they like or dislike. Welcome to the "new normal."

Survey results suggest that "most Americans overstate the risk of hospitalization" for both unvaccinated and vaccinated individuals. Roughly 92 percent "overstate the risk that unvaccinated people will be hospitalized," while 62 percent overstated the risk for vaccinated individuals, Gallup wrote in a blog post.
The poll found that 41 percent of registered Democrats believe that there's a 50 percent chance that an unvaccinated individual will go the hospital for COVID-19, while 21 percent of Republicans and 26 percent of independents believe the same.
Gallup said that under different scenarios and calculations, fewer than 1 percent of both unvaccinated and fully vaccinated COVID-19 cases result in hospital stays. The company cited data from the Department of Health and Human Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for its conclusion.
"Democrats are more likely to overstate hospitalization risks for unvaccinated people, which may fuel efforts, often led by Democratic Party leaders, to enforce both mask and vaccine mandates," the pollster wrote. "At the same time, Republicans overstate risks to vaccinated people, leading to very low vaccine efficacy estimates. This may be one of the reasons that so many Republicans have been reluctant to get the COVID-19 vaccine."
Comment: Hardly an overstatement, and likely to be the case:

Among the accounts being banned are those of Joseph Mercola and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., according to The New York Times.
YouTube made the announcement in a blog post saying it would remove videos claiming that vaccines do not reduce transmission or contraction of disease as well as content that includes misinformation on the contents of the vaccines.
The platform also said it would remove claims that approved vaccines cause autism, cancer or infertility, or that the vaccines contain trackers, the Times reports.
So, to deal with all these requests, we decided to make a bullet-pointed and sourced list for all the key points. A one-stop-shop.
Here are key facts and sources about the alleged "pandemic", that will help you get a grasp on what has happened to the world since January 2020, and help you enlighten any of your friends who might be still trapped in the New Normal fog (click links to skip):
"Covid deaths" - Lockdowns - PCR Tests - "asymptomatic infection" - Ventilators - Masks - Vaccines - Deception & Foreknowledge
Part I: "Covid deaths" & mortality
1. The survival rate of "Covid" is over 99%. Government medical experts went out of their way to underline, from the beginning of the pandemic, that the vast majority of the population are not in any danger from Covid.
Almost all studies on the infection-fatality ratio (IFR) of Covid have returned results between 0.04% and 0.5%. Meaning Covid's survival rate is at least 99.5%.

High-up elements of the Canadian Forces have been waging psychological operations on the public over Covid-19 to manipulate their emotions and thoughts, and to gauge their reactions. While this is not uncommon around the world, getting caught is.
A new article in Canada's National Post states that the Canadian Joint Operations Command used "propaganda techniques similar to those employed during the Afghanistan war" on the Canadian public.
They carry tuberculosis, AIDS, influenza, measles, chickenpox, meningitis, mumps, rubella and all manner of contagions that can be transmitted in all manner of ways.
Yet, we don't see any calls for digital health passports, no apps on your phone, no social-distancing marks on the floors, no calls to show your papers or a recent negative test for any of these illnesses. Only one. Covid.
And never have we seen a president go on national television like Joe Biden did last week and order everyone to get an injection claiming to prevent any of these diseases under penalty of losing your job and livelihood.
"We are losing patience," he sneered into the camera with the sinister look of a man possessed.

Apartment building hit by an explosion in Gothenburg.
Swedish police are investigating whether an explosive device caused the blast that went off in Annedal district in central Gothenburg on Tuesday morning, starting a serious fire. The Sahlgrenska University Hospital said it was treating 16 people injured in the incident, four of them in serious condition.
The explosion rocked through the building just before 5am local time, damaging three stairwells. Some residents used tied sheets to escape from their homes through windows, as the fire ignited by the blast spread and sent thick plumes of grey smoke in the air.
Comment: It remains to be seen just what exactly caused the explosion and whether a reasonable motive is uncovered, because, the idea that a significant explosive that severely injured elderly people was, essentially, turf warfare, seems a little dubious; even if it is true that parts of Sweden have suffered from soaring migrant gang violence in recent years, that have apparently included a number of car bombs:

Fikile Ntshangase was involved in legal action against a mining company when killed.
The 65-year-old led a group that was taking legal action against the company that ran the mine, located just outside of South Africa's Hluhluwe-Imfolozi nature reserve. Her daughter, Malungelo Xhakaza, said in a new report from the human-rights watchdog group Global Witness:
"She organized, she campaigned and educated people about their rights. Ultimately, I believe that's what cost my mother's life."In October 2020, Ntshangase was shot in her living room and died.
She's one of 227 environmental activists who were murdered in 2020, according to the Global Witness report, which was published on Monday. That's an average of more than four activists murdered every week. It's more killings than the group has ever recorded in a single year since it started publishing these reports in 2012.
Still, the number is likely an undercount. Global Witness compiles its database using information that's publicly available online. But many cases likely go unreported, especially in countries with heavy suppression of media or with ongoing conflicts that make it difficult to parse out particular incidents.
For that reason, the report emphasizes that its figures are "only a partial picture" of these killings.
