According to the National Post, after the Monday afternoon Blaire White livestream in which the prohibited weapon was brandished, Yaniv was arrested and brought to an RCMP holding cell. Yaniv was released Tuesday morning.

Two stun guns, pepper spray, and bear spray were seized from Yaniv's apartment.

The Post Millennial has confirmed speculation that the Walnut Grove home of Jessica Yaniv was raided by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police last night. The raid follows Yaniv's explosive live appearance on Blaire White's YouTube channel, brandishing and demonstrating the functionality of a taser at one point in the debate, and claiming to be fully aware of its illegality. Yaniv also claimed to possess pepper spray.

American Values, an excellent Twitter account which publishes daily information about US atrocities, has just posted a thread for the anniversary of the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima, Japan, and I think everyone should have a look at it today. It reads as follows:

"On this day in 1945, the US committed one the worst [atrocities] in human history when it dropped a nuclear weapon on the Japanese city of Hiroshima, killing 140,000 people. The city was selected for its location in a valley, magnifying the bomb's deadly power.

"The bomb detonated directly over Shima Surgical Clinic and destroyed 1 square mile, setting fires for 4.7 square miles. 70,000 people were immediately annihilated & 70,000 were wounded. The bombing killed 90% of all medical personnel in the city. The wounded were described by survivors as living pieces of charcoal, wandering mindlessly as their skin fell off until they collapsed and died. Many of the survivors would fall victim of radiation poisoning, some dying violently while vomiting out their insides.

"Astonishingly, just 3 days after the bombing of Hiroshima, the US dropped another atomic bomb on Nagasaki. The bombing was essentially a test, killing 80,000 Japanese in an attempt to see if a plutonium implosion bomb would detonate properly in wartime setting.

"Much of the US propaganda used during the war depicted the Japanese as subhuman and its this attitude that helped the US government justify these atrocities to itself and its population.

"One of the most reprehensible myths surrounding the bombings is the idea that they were 'necessary' to save lives. Serious historical work has disproven this. The FBI has pegged "conspiracy theory-driven domestic extremists" as a burgeoning terrorist threat for the U.S., raising questions about the legal implications for websites where fringe groups sow those conspiracies.

In an exclusive article for Yahoo News published Thursday, contributor Jana Winter reported on an FBI bulletin from May 30, 2019 that, for the very first time, named fringe extremists as a domestic terrorist threat.

That bulletin specifically pointed to QAnon, a far-right theory claiming there's a plot against President Donald Trump, as well as Pizzagate, a now-debunked claim that Hillary Clinton and her aides were operating a human-trafficking ring out of a Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant.

Gun control supporters stood outside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's home in Kentucky on Sunday night — protesting and hurling death threats at him — while broadcasting on Facebook Live.

"Murder Turtle!" the demonstrators can be heard shouting on video, in reference to McConnell's infamous nickname.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are," a person says at one point, while the others continue to yell.

Three major drug distributors have proposed paying $10 billion to settle claims that they played a role in fuelling the US' opioid epidemic by downplaying risks and flooding the market with pills - but plaintiffs want much more.

It's the first time in two years of discussions that the three companies - McKesson Corp., Cardinal Health Inc. and AmerisourceBergen Corp. - have put a figure on the table in an attempt to resolve the lawsuits against them, Bloomberg reported.

The companies reportedly made a verbal proposal during ongoing talks - but the National Association of Attorneys General, which is handling the discussions on behalf of more than 35 states, countered the offer with a demand for $45 billion to help solve the public health crisis of opioid addiction.

A McKesson spokeswoman denied that a settlement offer had been made, but Bloomberg's sources said that there had indeed been an opening offer. AmerisourceBergen and Cardinal Health declined to comment.

Scottish voters would back independence and they want another referendum in the next two years, a poll published on Monday showed, indicating that the United Kingdom could be wrenched apart shortly after it leaves the European Union.

Asked how they would vote in an independence referendum, 46% of the 1,019 surveyed Scottish voters said they would vote for independence and 43% said they would vote against, according to a poll by Michael Ashcroft. Excluding those who said they did not know or would not vote, this amounted to 52% to 48% for an independent Scotland.

"I found a small majority in favor of a new vote - and the first lead for an independent Scotland for more than two years," Ashcroft, a Conservative who opposed Boris Johnson's successful bid to be prime minister, said.

Johnson, who took over from Theresa May last month and is unpopular in Scotland, was booed as he entered a meeting last week with Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon who is demanding London agree to another referendum.

A depraved UK mom will spend the next three decades in prison for killing her two young daughters, who "got in the way" of her sex life, a court heard this week.

Louise Porton, who was a sex worker, was found guilty Thursday in Birmingham court for the murders of 3-year-old Lexi Draper and 17-month-old Scarlett Vaughan, The Sun reported.

The 23-year-old mom was ordered to serve 32 years to life in prison for the murders, which were within three weeks of each other.

Over the past 40 years, smoking policy has shifted from public information about health risks to providing no-smoking zones to direct coercion to prevent people from smoking.

The Syrian army resumes military operation against terrorist groups in the country's Idlib province due to their failure to respect the ceasefire and the Russian-Turkish Sochi memorandum of 2018, the Syrian Armed Forces said in a statement on Monday. A statement quoted by the Ikhbariya TV channel:

"Taking into account that the agreement on the ceasefire under conditions of implementation of the Sochi agreements by Ankara was not implemented despite Syria's efforts in this direction, the army and armed forces therefore resume the military operation against terrorist groups with different names and will respond to any aggression in accordance with its constitutional obligations to protect the Syrian people and ensure their security."

Idlib is reportedly controlled mainly by Hayat Tahrir Sham and remains the last opposition stronghold. Government forces are fighting to take back the territory with support from Russia as part of a counterterrorism operation.

The Syrian Army discovered a large volume of weapons and ammunition, including US-made missiles, from arms depot in formerly-held positions of the terrorists in the southern part of Syria.

The Syrian Army's engineering units found a large cache containing different combat rifles, over 200,000 bullets, large amount of canons, mortar rounds and US TOW missiles together with launching-pads, anti-tank machine guns, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), bombs, hand-grenades, drones and night-vision cameras, also Israel-made military equipment and medicine.

In a relevant development in late June, the Syrian Army seized a large number of weapons and military equipment, including arms and ammunition made in the US and Israel, in areas and military bases formerly held by the terrorists in the surrounding areas of Damascus and Quneitra provinces, [including] southwestern Damascus and northwestern Quneitra.
