Social media has created an obsession with image and wealth while celebrities such as reality TV star Kim Kardashian West create a template few can live up to.

Yet Government support for young people is "creaking at the seams and not fit for purpose".

Mr Todd says: "We have lost sight of what is important and need to find space to value each other.

"There has been a Facebook-isation of life leading to a 'look at me' culture. Society seems to have become very individualistic with people obsessing about Me and I rather than supporting one another.

A man has been detained in connection with the murder of a New York City imam and his assistant who were killed while on their way home from a mosque in Queens, NBC news reported, citing sources.

The man, who was detained early on Monday morning, reportedly matched the description of the shooter. He was arrested while returning to a car at the scene of the incident, according to NBC.

The shooting took place close to the Al-Furqan Jame Masjid mosque in the Ozone Park neighborhood at around 2 pm on Saturday. The 55-year-old imam, Alala Uddin Akongi, and his 64-year-old assistant, Thara Uddin, had been attending afternoon prayers and were in traditional Muslim dress.

Comment: The final comment from Mr. Islam is understandable. He blames Trump for the Islamophobia sweeping the nation, saying this is "not what America is about". Unfortunately, he is wrong. This is exactly what America is about. For its entire history, America has been a thinly veiled cover for murder, genocide, racism and psychopathy. You can argue that this isn't what America should be. But face objective reality: this is America. Trump is just continuing a long American tradition, which was followed by Obama before him, and Bush before him...

Three dismembered bodies placed in trash bags were discovered in front of Mexican government buildings in the southwestern state of Guerrero, while iceboxes with severed heads were placed nearby. The disturbing find has been linked to infamous gang wars.

The body parts were all inside big garbage bags and purposefully placed in front of local government buildings on Sunday morning local time. Later in the day, Mexico's police found three iceboxes in front of another building nearby. Each box contained a severed head inside, presumably from the same three bodies.

The severed body parts were reportedly placed there by one of the Mexican criminal gangs, known as Los Jefes, or The Bosses.

One of the boxes reportedly had a note inside. It issued threats to another local gang, which allegedly deals with extortion and carjacking.

Police have not yet been able to identify the bodies.

British MPs are being taught unarmed street-fighting techniques used by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad in a bid to protect them from stalkers, terrorists, and political extremists in light of the murder of Jo Cox.

According to the Telegraph, the self-defense training known as "Krav Maga" - Hebrew for "contact combat" - combines jiu jitsu, judo, boxing, and street fighting.

It teaches MPs how to defend themselves against attacks, including swinging punches to the head, a bottle, glass, or ashtray to the head, and a "slash with a knife, most commonly a 3-4 inch lock blade or kitchen utility knife." They will also learn how to disarm a lone-wolf attacker.

The training comes in the wake of the brutal murder of Jo Cox, a Labour MP who was shot and stabbed in her Batley and Spen constituency in June.
