Question

Was the SpaceX rocket attacked by a drone?

SpaceX explosion

Comment: SOTT's own analysis theorizes that it's possible that a UFO, or at the least something unidentified, was flying near the rocket in the moments before the explosion. See the below video for more evidence:

Now conspiracy theorists are claiming the space rocket was "attacked".

The "reusable" rocket was destroyed after suffering a catastrophic explosion on launch at Cape Canaveral in Florida, US on Thursday. The huge blast, which caused no injuries, ripped through the rocket during a pre-launch check - sending plumes of thick black smoke into the air.

Billionaire SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said the cause of the explosion, which was caught on camera, is still unknown. But new analysis of the footage appears to show there may have been foul play, it has been claimed.

A grainy video of the blast, posted to YouTube by Steve Svensson, appears to shows a small, silver spherical object flying over the rocket as it exploded.

In the description to the video, he wrote: "It appears that SpaceX may have been shot by a very fast moving drone, or possibly an explosive in the satellite was triggered? We all know people love to hate Elon Musk."

Comment: There could be more to this story than first appears. It was reported in July that a naval ship, the USS Jackson, was undergoing "full ship shock trials" off the coast of Florida. This was to test the ship for its ability to withstand underwater shocks by using 10,000 pounds of explosives. It turns out that, at the time of the testing, many Floridians thought an earthquake had occurred, but it turned out to be the explosion from the shock test. Even the geophysicists at the National Earthquake Information Center were fooled, although one man quoted said it was obvious that it was an "induced quake". The explosion was so intense that it recorded a 3.7 on the Richter scale

Another interesting piece of data is that a "military-style" helicopter recently crashed in Florida, despite there being no signs of distress or engine failure as it fell. Could this possibly be another sign of secret military weapons being tested in Florida? Images at the crash site show only the tail and rotors remaining, as the rest of the very large helicopter apparently disintegrated upon crashing.

So what exactly is going on in Florida? Was the military secretly testing a weapon and accidentally blew up the SpaceX rocket? Is it possible that the explosion of the SpaceX rocket was done by elements of the US government to sabotage the sale of the Israel satellite operator Spacecom to the Chinese conglomerate Beijing Xinwei Technology Group? The Americans might very well be wary of the Chinese going into business with the Israelis and getting more heavily involved in the space industry. It certainly looks like the elites in the US went to great lengths to sabotage this deal by using its super-secret weaponry to destroy the SpaceX rocket and deep-six the Israeli-Chinese deal.

Court on Corsica approves mayor's burkini ban

A French administrative court has approved the ban on full-body swimming suits worn by Muslim women on beaches in the Corsica commune of Sisko, bypassing the recent State Council's decision on the matter.

The Bastia Administrative Court agreed with Sisko's mayor, Ange-Pierre Vivoni, who passed a law in August prohibiting women wearing so-called burkinis to visit municipal beaches for safety reasons. The court rejected an appeal filed by the Human Rights League (LDH) against the ban, French website BFMTV reported on Tuesday.

The court "considered that in this case, given the recent events of August 13, 2016... and that the sentiment is not settled, the presence of women wearing a bathing suit [burkini]... would in the current circumstances risk the disturbance of public order, which is to be prevented by the mayor," the court ruling said.

Judge, jury and executioner: Graphic body cam shows cops kill man after he put his hands up and pointed at them

Evansville Police body camera footage
© Evansville Police body camera footageThe Evansville Police released the body camera footage on Friday from a March officer-involved shooting that killed Daniel Wooters, 38.
Daniel Wooters, 38, was homeless and likely mentally ill when he was killed by Evansville police. In March of this year, Wooters stole a police cruiser, led cops on a chase, crashed the car, and was then killed as he held a knife in the air โ€” over 30 feet away from the nearest officer.

In spite of the incident happening in March, the body cam video was not released until this month, likely due to the reason that it does not fit their narrative.

As the Courier Press Reports:
Police were in route to TGI Friday's at the Eastland Mall March 15 to look for a man who, according to a mall security guard, "threatened to kill people."

By the time police arrived, Wooters had walked to the Fifth-Third Bank parking lot, where a uniformed officer approached him. According to police, Wooters advanced at the officer with a knife and stole the officer's car, leading other arriving officers on a chase up Morgan Avenue.

Stranger danger: 1/3 of all murder victims are killed by police

stranger danger
To famed and celebrated American author Mark Twain, there are three types of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics. After all, facts are facts, and that's all we need to rely on. Everything else is panis et circenses.

The notion that public policing has failed us is a fact โ€” not a statistic. But looking at the numbers may help us attain a better understanding of where they have failed and what led these institutions to pursue policies that not only incentivize crime but also create it out of thin air โ€” so much so that police officers are at the top of the list of threats the common American faces today.

According to the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics, most homicides involve fewer than three victims. About three-quarters of all homicide victims are murdered by someone they know. But among those victims of homicide who aren't familiar with the murderer, at least one third are killed by law enforcement, reports Granta, citing an analysis published by the Human Rights Data Analysis group.

Cop gets into fight with his own son, shoots him twice, Dept says it was 'accidental'

Shooting in Northwest Philadelphia
© WPVI-TV
A 19-year-old man is in critical condition suffering gunshot wounds inflicted on him by his father โ€” a Philadelphia cop. In spite of the officer admitting that he fired the weapon, no charges have been filed against him โ€” for obvious reasons.

Monday afternoon, at approximately 6:30 pm, police responded to multiple calls about shots fired at a northeast Philadelphia residence; home of the unnamed police officer. Police say the officer got into an argument with his son, which then escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, the officer brandished a gun and fired, striking his son in the torso.

According to police, there were four people inside the home.

In a damning report, the UN development body (UNCTAD) described the ways Israeli occupation of Gaza and West Bank has been preventing the Palestinian economy from recovery and getting twice as big as it is now.

The document detailing the "staggering economic cost" of Israeli occupation was released on Tuesday by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

"The Palestinian economy would be at least twice as large without Israeli occupation," the findings reveal.

A 63-year-old Manchester man has been arrested after a five-day-old baby was punched in the head at a Tesco supermarket. He claims he "mistook her for a toy doll."

Elsie Duckers, who was five days old at the time and weighed just 6lbs 12oz, was tucked up in her carriage when she was approached by a man who overheard friends say: "Come and have a look at this beautiful baby."

The man then punched the newborn in the head. He claimed he thought the baby was not real and was a toy. The baby was rushed to Wythenshawe Hospital where she was held for seven hours. She is not thought to have suffered any serious injuries.

Her mother Amy Duckers, 27, said the punch was so hard, "you could hear the connection as this man hit Elsie."

Ferguson protest leader Darren Seals found dead in burning vehicle (UPDATE)

Darren Seals
Darren Seals
The body of an activist from St. Louis who led protests about the fatal police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., in 2014 was found with a gunshot wound in the charred remains of a vehicle on Tuesday morning, according to the police and news accounts.

The activist, Darren Seals, 29, was found inside the vehicle on Diamond Drive in Riverview in St. Louis County around 1:50 a.m., the St. Louis County Police Department said in a statement. The vehicle had been on fire and he was found after the flames were extinguished.

Comment: From The Root:
This is the second time in less than two years that a young black man with some connection with the Ferguson uprising has been found dead inside of a car after being shot and set on fire.

In November 2014, during the protests that followed a grand jury's refusal to indict Wilson in Brown's shooting death, DeAndre Joshua, 20, was found shot once in the head inside of a burning car. Bloodied glass was discovered on the ground beside his white Pontiac Grand Prix right next to Canfield Green Apartments where Michael Brown Jr. was slain.

UPDATE: Activists point fingers at police over suspicious death of Ferguson protester Darren Seals
The violent murder of Ferguson Uprising protester Darren Seals, who was found shot and burned in a charred car Tuesday near the US city of St Louis, has raised "a lot of red flags" for activists, who question the official version of events released by his "enemies," the police.

Many believe it was a targeted attack.

As leading anti-racism campaigner Tariq Nasheed pointed out, a tweet posted by Seals in late July raised "a lot of red flags."
Seals had said he was pulled over by 10 armed detectives pointing their guns at him and his teenage brother, telling him,"choose your enemies wisely."

Local St Louis activist Heather De Mian said she was disturbed by finding various pieces of debris and what appeared to be shell casings left behind by police investigators from the vehicle where Seals had been found.

"The memorial is constructed on top of his car door, which the police just left there," De Mian said, the Washington Post reports. "You would think the car door would be important evidence, that there might be fingerprints, you know. The police just left it there."

Another Twitter user also confirmed De Mian's account and showed images of bullet casings allegedly littered around the crime scene.

What is notable about the killing is that Seals is not the only Ferguson man to have been shot and set alight in a car.

The latest incident makes him the sixth person to be found in such circumstances. In the case of DeAndre Joshua, who was also shot dead before his killer or killers set his car on fire on the November 2014 night of the grand jury decided not to charge Darren Wilson for Michael Brown's death, speculation continues over the murder.

The helicopter was providing air support to the police force operating in the area hardly accessible by land. The officers were on a mission to arrest gang leaders in the city notorious for its thriving drug cartels.

"During the operation, an official helicopter which was supporting the patrol in area of difficult access was shot down," wrote Silvano Aureoles, governor of the state of Michoacan. Apatzingan is located in the western part of Michoacan.

ITT technical college closes suddenly; over 40,000 students and 8,000 employees in limbo

Itt Tech
The long-running tragic saga of ITT Education Services, which was established nearly 50 ago and operates the ITT Technical Institutes for-profit college chain, finally came to a end this morning with both a bang and a whimper, when it announced that it is shutting down effective immediately, leaving the fate of 40,000 students currently enrolled in limbo, and some 8,000 workers without a job.

The company said the closure is due to an investigation and sanctions by the U.S. Department of Education.

"It is with profound regret that we must report that ITT Educational Services, Inc. will discontinue academic operations at all of its ITT Technical Institutes permanently after approximately 50 years of continuous service," the company stated Tuesday. "Effective today, the company has eliminated the positions of the overwhelming majority of our more than 8,000 employees."

As previously reported, ITT Tech stopped enrolling new students on August 29, just a few days after it was cut off from a significant amount of federal funding by the government. ITT's collapse was catalyzed when the Department of Education effectively killed the company two weeks ago, when it told the company on August 25 that it couldn't enroll new students who use federal financial aid. The school accused federal officials of forcing the closure and denying it due process. The company has been the subject of state and federal probes for various reasons, including its recruitment tactics, lending practices and job placement figures.
