Particularly Ron DeSantis' awfulness.
While Florida has suffered during the COVID19 pandemic just like pretty much every other state, it has not become the graveyard that so many in the media seemed to hope it would be. The state is actually doing pretty well, all things considered, and CNN can't just let that slide. They've got to come up with some kind of dirt on Ron DeSantis that'll stick.
So here's what they've come up with for the time being:

Seagulls are seen on an empty beach of the Promenade des Anglais during the first local weekend lockdown imposed to slow the rate of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) contagion, in Nice, France, February 27, 2021.
The announcement paves the way for new curbs in the greater Paris region, where intensive care wards are full and the hospital system is buckling with an incident rate of more than 400 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
Attal said the new measures for Paris could include some form of confinement. Weekend lockdowns have already been imposed on top of a nationwide nightly curfew along parts of the Mediterranean Riviera and some areas of the north.
President Emmanuel Macron had hoped a vaccination drive could stave off a new pandemic wave triggered by more contagious variants, and prevent France from resorting to more measures that risk slowing the economy and cooping up citizens.
Comment: Despite the growing body evidence that lockdowns don't work, another 'wave' of lockdowns is starting in the EU.
Poland:
The Polish health minister has announced a new national lockdown, to come into force on Saturday, as the government looks to slow surging infections across the country and deal with more contagious Covid-19 variants.Germany:
Speaking on Wednesday, minister Adam Niedzielski said the situation had deteriorated to such an extent in recent days that the government had been obliged to act.
"Last week, we were above 20,000 [cases per day], but the pace is not slowing down. The third wave is accelerating, and we have to take decisive steps," he stated.
[...]
Despite infection rates being higher in the north, Niedzielski said there was a clear reason for introducing measures on a national scale. The new restrictions, which come into force on Saturday, will see shopping malls, cinemas, theaters, swimming pools, and saunas being closed once again, and pupils in grades one to three returning to distance-learning until April 9, although kindergartens would remain open. The minister also advised people to work from home where possible.
He said that if these measures failed to make an impact on infection rates, a more "typical" lockdown would be enforced.
Intensive care doctors in Germany warned on Monday (Mar 15) that the country would need to make an "immediate return" to partial lockdown if it is to avoid stumbling into a dangerous third wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
"From the data we currently have and with the spread of the British mutation, we would argue strongly to return immediately into a lockdown to avoid a strong third wave," Christian Karagiannidis, director of Germany's intensive care register, told broadcaster RBB.
"We won't gain much from staying open for the next one or two weeks, because that will quickly bring us to a high level and make it twice as hard to push the numbers down again," said Karagiannidis, who works for the German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine (DIVI), which tracks intensive care capacities in German hospitals.
Germany has seen a rise in cases since it began a gradual easing of coronavirus measures in late February, allowing schools, hairdressers and other businesses to partially reopen.
It doesn't take much to pull what is already known together and ask the question "Who among the celebrities and top-level politicians that Epstein cultivated were actually Israeli spies?" And of course there is a subplot. Assuming that Epstein was in fact involved in recruiting and/or running high level American agents in an "influence operation" that may have involved blackmail it is possible to come to the conclusion that he was killed in prison and that the suicide story was just a convenient cover-up. The Epstein case remains "open" and under investigation though it doesn't seem that anything is actually happening, the sure sign that someone powerful in the Establishment is making sure that nothing incriminating surfaces. Indeed, there already exists some evidence that Epstein was being protected when he was convicted in Florida of sex crimes in 2008 and was given a sentence that was little more than a slap on the wrist. After the fact, the U.S. Attorney for Miami Alexander Acosta involved in the case reported that the arrest and sentencing were above his pay grade, that he had been told that Epstein "'belonged to intelligence', and to leave it alone" a comment that apparently has never been pursued by investigators.

On Monday's episode, Behar called out recent comments by Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisconsin), who said he would have been more worried if the people who stormed the US Capitol on January 6 had been Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters, rather than supporters of former president Donald Trump. Behar called Johnson a racist and set up her arguments against him by falsely portraying the Capitol rioters and dismissing Antifa completely.
"If I were surrounded by people carrying weapons, people erecting nooses, screaming 'Hang Mike Pence,' bludgeoning a police officer to death, I might be a little scared," Behar said as she read her statement. "But Ron? No, he's not scared of those people."
He's scared of this fictitious idea of Antifa, a thing that doesn't even exist. He needs to go. He needs to go, and soon.
The first part of Behar's statement was almost entirely false or misleading. Brian Sicknick, the one police officer who purportedly died as a result of the Capitol riot, wasn't bludgeoned to death, as falsely reported by CNN and other media outlets. He collapsed in his office hours after the riot ended, and his cause of death is still under investigation. Two men were arrested Sunday for allegedly assaulting Sicknick by spraying him in the face with an unknown substance.
People carried lit flares and placards saying, 'My camera against your baton.' They shouted anti-police slogans and demanded the resignation of Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin.
The Global Security Bill, introduced by President Emmanuel Macron's ruling party last year, would ban the showing of the faces of on-duty police officers "with the aim of damaging their physical or psychological integrity." The government insists the measure is necessary to protect the police against offenders.

Comment: Countries throughout Europe are passing draconian bills that hand over more powers to the police, who just happen to be tasked with enforcing the insidious 'emergency' lockdown laws:

The warrant was issued by a judge for the arrest of a father for calling his biological female child his "daughter," and referring to her with the pronouns "she" and "her."
Hoogland is a father to a gender non-conforming biological female 14-year-old who identifies as transgender and prefers the use of male pronouns. Hoogland has repeatedly called this person his daughter, though the court has forbade it.
On Tuesday at 10 am Vancouver time, Hoogland surrendered himself to the court in response to the Attorney General of British Columbia's warrant for his arrest for contempt. He was then arrested and jailed. The warrant was issued by Judge Tammen on March 4, 2021.

It's not uncommon to see political pundits and musicians argue. But the latest online spat runs much deeper than someone simply being out of touch with what is hip and new. Rather, it seems like we're looking at two public figures who represent very different ways to live life as a woman. I'm speaking, of course, of the war of words between right-wing political pundit Candace Owens and former stripper-turned-rapper Cardi B.

VIP has previously covered the initial ratings decline Fox News, MSNBC and, most of all, CNN, saw in President Biden's first week, as the nonstop controversies of the previous administration slowed down.
Our prediction that audiences would perk up for President Trump's second impeachment trial proved correct. But in the weeks after the trial ended, audiences for CNN have plummeted; MSNBC is seeing about half CNN's drop, while Fox News is down single digits. While the left-leaning networks may be losing steam without the ability to feed off of Trump being in office, conservative audiences have found new focal points for their concerns.
The Electronic Intifada has obtained this photo of Lenga wearing an Israeli army uniform, wrapped in an Israeli flag and carrying an assault rifle - the type of weapon carried by Israeli occupation soldiers when they enforce Israel's military rule over Palestinians. Sources say that Lenga once "proudly" displayed the photo on her social media.
Israel experts Dena and Daniel Shunra told The Electronic Intifada that the uniform and epaulets visible in the photo suggest that Lenga took part in Marva, a paramilitary course overseen by the Israeli army.
Video on YouTube shows Marva recruits wearing the same white shoulder epaulets and carrying rifles marked with white tape in the same fashion as Lenga's.

Demonstrators attend a rally in Santa Cruz to protest against the detention of former interim President Jeanine Anez.
The largest group gathered in the country's financial capital, Santa Cruz, where the attendance was estimated at some 40,000.
One of the demonstrators told RT's Ruptly video agency:
"We are asking for the same justice for everyone. Just as they judge the transitional government [on Anez] that was constitutionally put in place, we demand that the government of Evo Morales and all his henchmen also go to jail."A few hours before the rallies, Anez was transferred to a prison in La Paz. The conservative politician, who ruled Bolivia as interim president for a year, and several of her associates were detained during the weekend on accusations of sedition, terrorism and conspiracy over their coming to power in November 2019.
