During a news conference, Secretary of Defense Luis Cresencio Sandoval said the military set up 347 immigration checkpoints in Mexico along three main routes (Gulf, Center, Pacific). According to Sandoval, military forces had already "rescued" 12,905 migrants in March. Sandoval did not specify if the migrants were simply apprehended or if they were being held involuntarily by human smuggling organizations.
Sandoval's announcement comes at the same time that U.S. President Joe Biden announced a diplomatic delegation to Mexico to discuss the ongoing immigration crisis.

Far-right protesters attempt to burn a "President of Ukraine" plaque during a rally outside the Ukrainian Presidential Office.
Some 3,000 radicals gathered in front of the landmark building, on Saturday, to mark the birthday of Sergey Sternenko, the former head of the Odessa branch of the Right Sector, an association of radical anti-Russia Ukrainian Neo-Nazi organizations. The ultranationalists used the occasion to call for him to be freed.
However, Roskomnadzor believes Twitter's rate of removal "remains unsatisfactory," with two-thirds of all demands still being ignored.
Two weeks ago, Russia began to throttle Twitter's speed, adopting the measure after the social network dismissed requests from Moscow to remove the specified content, including child pornography and material advertising the use of drugs.
Comment: It says a lot about the nature of Twitter that it is not removing actual harmful content of its own volition, while also banning people whose politics don't fall in line with the establishment.

The organization said it received 3,795 firsthand accounts of hate incidents nationwide from March 19, 2020, to Feb. 28, 2021. Of that total, 68.1% of the incidents were classified as verbal harassment, while 20.5% were cases of "shunning" of Asian-Americans and 11.1% were cases of alleged physical assault.
States around the country have reported a spike in violence and hate-related incidents toward Asian-Americans during the pandemic. Of the reported incidents, 1,691, or roughly 45%, occurred in California while 517, or about 14%, occurred in New York and 158, or about 4%, occurred in Washington state. No other state accounted for more than 3% of reported incidents.
"The number of hate incidents reported to our center represent only a fraction of the number of hate incidents that actually occur, but it does show how vulnerable Asian Americans are to discrimination, and the types of discrimination they face," the authors of the Stop AAPI Hate Reporting Center's study said.
Michael Sherwin told CBS' "60 Minutes" that he believes the evidence supports charging some of the suspects in the deadly attack with conspiring to overthrow the government.
"I personally believe the evidence is trending towards that, and probably meets those elements," Sherwin said on the program. "I believe the facts do support those charges. And I think that, as we go forward, more facts will support that, he added.
Comment: Seeing that a top US prosecutor is talking publicly about charges is an indication this case is more about propaganda than anything related to actual cases of sedition. From The Hill:
Carmen Hernandez, Crowl's defense lawyer, told the Times that she has "seen no evidence to support a seditious conspiracy charge against my client" and was "surprised that the former U.S. attorney would comment so publicly on the case."
"So here you have this bill, which I think all polling shows is popular in your state, I think would be popular nationally, you said you're excited to sign it," Carlson said. "Big business intercedes, NCAA, Chamber of Commerce, and Amazon and tell you not to sign it. And you change your mind. I think a lot of our viewers are wondering your thinking on this and how exactly this happened."
Comment: Noem's appearance on Carlson is being seen as a stumble for her, with many on social media feeling it may have scotched any hopes of a 2024 presidential run.
Though not all saw the segment as a trainwreck:
Autumn Scardina attempted to order the birthday cake on the same day in 2017 that the high court announced it would hear baker Jack Phillips' appeal in the wedding cake case. Scardina, an attorney, requested a cake that was blue on the outside and pink on the inside in honor of her gender transition.
Her lawsuit is the latest in a series of cases around the U.S. that pit the rights of LGBTQ people against merchants' religious objections, an issue that remains unsettled by the nation's top court.
Comment: In the parlance of the Left, this is "lawfare". If you can't get your target to bend, or are initially defeated in the courts, you keep filing suits till your victim is broke.
The first go around: Colorado baker sued again, this time for refusing 'gender transition' cake
The Christian Post from April 2020 :
[T]he baker could now be forced to shell out $100,000 in damages, fines, and attorney's fees. The Christian legal army behind 'Masterpiece Cakeshop', the bakery that refused to make cake for same-sex wedding
"We live in a country where freedom of speech and religious liberty are protected," ADF argued."While we may disagree on certain issues, we should all be free to live and work according to our beliefs.
"Jack Phillips, just like every creative professional, has the right to decline to use his artistic abilities to express messages or celebrate events he disagrees with."
"But over the course of Jack's legal battle, one thing has become abundantly clear: For some, it will never be enough to politely agree to disagree about important issues like the meaning of marriage or whether to celebrate a gender transition.
"It wasn't enough for Jack to lose 40 percent of his business after Colorado pursued him the first time.
"It wasn't enough for Jack to have to defend his freedoms all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
"And it wasn't enough for Jack and his family to endure years of harassment and even death threats."
"For some, it won't be enough until Masterpiece Cakeshop closes its doors and Jack Phillips is in financial ruin," ADF added.
"They want Jack, an average American business owner, to pay a hefty price — all because he wants to live according to his faith."

Police officers and an ambulance are seen at the scene where an active shooter was reported at a grocery store in Boulder, Colorado, March 22, 2021.
Ten people were killed when a shooter opened fire at a King Soopers store in Boulder on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday, law enforcement officials released the names of the victims, aged 20 to 65, including a police officer, as well as the alleged perpetrator, who was captured and charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder.
Comment: For 24 hours, libtards railed about 'white mass shooters'. They've gone silent now that it's revealed the perp is a recently-arrived Syrian migrant/refugee...

"Before he was Dr. Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci was a curious boy in Brooklyn, delivering prescriptions from his father's pharmacy on his blue Schwinn bicycle," reads of a description of the book on Simon & Schuster's website, the book's publisher. "His father and immigrant grandfather taught Anthony to ask questions, consider all the data, and never give up — and Anthony's ability to stay curious and to communicate with people would serve him his entire life."
Comment: As they said one year ago, we must accept the new "normal." One part of that abnormal they want to make to look normal, is to brainwash children with books like this so they believe that Dr. Fauci is a good guy who is doing his best to save us from this deadly pandemic.
They want to brainwash the children to believe that the vaccines that they want to give to all of us are actually for our own good so they can protect us from the Covid-19.
The real facts are diametrically opposite. Dr. Fauci is lying and manipulating to help the agenda of the PTB and probably some of his personal agendas. The Covid-19 vaccines are far more dangerous than the virus itself with a 99.8% survival rate.
