In the United States, Dr. Lisa Littman of Brown University just got an up-close look at what the trans mob looks like when your research conflicts with their ideology - her peer-reviewed paper was pulled by the gutless bureaucrats at Brown who didn't want to look un-woke. In the UK, a biological male (or transgender female) is the head of the mob - a lecturer at Goldsmiths University of London named Natacha Kennedy. From The Times:
A transgender lecturer orchestrated a smear campaign against academics across the UK in which universities were described as dangerous and accused of "hate crime" if they refused to accept activists' views that biological males can be women, it can be revealed.

Natacha Kennedy, a researcher at Goldsmiths University of London who is also understood to work there under the name Mark Hellen, faces accusations of a "ludicrous" assault on academic freedom after she invited thousands of members of a closed Facebook group to draw up and circulate a list shaming academics who disagreed with campaigners' theories on gender.

An explosive report on Catholic child sex abuse in Germany has been leaked by two leading German news outlets, revealing that as many as 3,677 people were abused by clergy between 1946 and 2014.

Spiegel Online and Die Zeit said the report they obtained concluded that the majority of victims were boys aged 13 or younger, 969 of whom were altar boys. The study, commissioned by the German Bishops Conference, was conducted by three universities and was not due to be revealed until the September 25 conference.

According to the leaked research, every sixth case was a rape and at least 1,670 clergy were involved. Many of the priests caught abusing had recently been transferred to other parishes and a mere one-third of accused members of the clergy were investigated by the Catholic Church.

New Mexico National Solar Observatory, nearby post office mysteriously shut down over 'security issue'

The National Solar Observatory in New Mexico has been closed down for days with little explanation - and people are starting to think it's out of this world.

The research facility at Sacramento Peak was evacuated Thursday last week as was a nearby United States Post Office. It's not clear when they will open their doors again.

The Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, which operates the Sunspot observatory, said in a statement to the Daily News Wednesday afternoon that it is "addressing a security issue."

Comment: RT adds:
The mysterious and sudden closure of the National Solar Observatory in New Mexico is sending alien hunters into a frenzy as the facility remains shut without explanation.

The research institute in Sunspot was evacuated last Thursday along with a nearby United States Postal Service office for unexplained 'security reasons.'

A spokesperson for the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy (AURA) which manages the observatory said the evacuation was a precautionary measure due to a security issue. "It was our decision to evacuate the facility," spokeswoman Shari Lifson added.

A statement made by the Otero County Sheriff, Benny House, to Alamogordo Daily News in the aftermath of the announcement has contributed to intense speculation around the incident, however. House said that they were asked to standby but given no further information.

"The FBI is refusing to tell us what's going on. We've got people up there (at Sunspot) that requested us to standby while they evacuate it. Nobody would really elaborate on any of the circumstances as to why. The FBI were up there. What their purpose was nobody will say."

The sheriff also claimed there was a Blackhawk helicopter at the site and work crews on towers and around antennas.

The mysterious circumstances of the building's closure has fueled a frenzy of speculation online as social media users wonder if aliens could be behind the 'cloak-and-dagger' operation.

It's unclear when the observatory and the post office will reopen. Postal workers have been temporarily transferred to the post office in Cloudcroft, a USPS official told ABC7.

The FBI has not responded to requests for comment on the matter, according to local media. However according to ABC7, the federal agency told Sheriff House that the evacuation order could remain in place for several days.

Sunspot is located in the Sacramento Mountains in Otero County about 15 miles south of the village Cloudcroft. There is currently a working telescope at the observatory, where New Mexico State University also conducts research.
From the Almagordo Daily News:
Otero County Sheriff Benny House said the Otero County Sheriff's Office was asked to standby.

"The FBI is refusing to tell us what's going on," House said. "We've got people up there (at Sunspot) that requested us to standby while they evacuate it. Nobody would really elaborate on any of the circumstances as to why. The FBI were up there. What their purpose was nobody will say."

He said he has a lot of unanswered question about what occurred at Sunspot.

"But for the FBI to get involved that quick and be so secretive about it, there was a lot of stuff going on up there," House said. "There was a Blackhawk helicopter, a bunch of people around antennas and work crews on towers but nobody would tell us anything."

The Daily News contacted the Albuquerque FBI spokesman seeking comment for this story, but telephone calls and messages were never returned.

House said he pulled his deputies from the facility after there was no identifiable threat.

"They wanted us up there to help evacuate but nobody would tell us anything," he said. "We went up there and everything was good. There was no threat. Nobody would identify any specific threat. We hung out for a little while then we left. No reason for us to be there. Nobody would tell us what we're supposed to be watching out for."

House said he doesn't understand why Sunspot didn't call or notify them of the situation.

"They're not federal employees," he said. "It maybe somebody who threatened one of their workers. If that's the case, why didn't call us and let us deal with it. These guys are regular workers that work for this company. I don't know why the FBI would get involved so quick and not tell us anything."

Rumors surrounding the ISS hole undermine crew relations

The head of Russian space corporation Roscosmos has called on reporters and the public to stop speculating about a recently discovered hole in the ISS hull, saying that such rumors harm the relations between crew members.

"Spreading rumors and speculation about what has happened on the ISS [International Space Station] does not help experts in their work and is seeking to undermine the camaraderie in the station's crew. It is unacceptable to make any statements with reference to 'sources' before the commission of Roscosmos completes its work," Dmitry Rogozin wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

Rogozin made the comments after Russian newspaper Kommersant quoted unnamed sources as saying that the commission investigating the recent incident on the ISS is looking into the theory that the hole in the station's hull was drilled by one of the US astronauts who are currently manning the spacecraft.

South Africa's agriculture plunges as uncertainty builds over land seizure plans

Agricultural confidence and land prices in South Africa have dropped significantly and continue falling on the country's ruling party's plans to expropriate land from white farmers without compensation.

The Agricultural Business Chamber said this week the Agbiz/IDC agribusiness confidence index has declined to the lowest in more than two years. According to the chamber, it's the weakest since 2016, when the nation suffered from a drought that ensued after the lowest annual rainfall in at least a century.

Statistics show farm prices in South Africa have plunged by a third since December. The average price of agricultural land sold in July was 9,318 rand ($613) a hectare compared with 13,700 rand, according to economist and chairman of Agri Development Solutions, Johann Bornman.

Agriculture output shrank 29 percent in the second quarter from the previous three months, the most among all industries. The sector employs 843,000 people, almost double the number of jobs in mining.

"The root of pessimism" is lingering policy uncertainty and weak economic growth, said Wandile Sihlobo, the head of agribusiness research at the chamber.

Two women, a New York State Senate candidate and a Wall Street Journal reporter, have accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's foreign media spokesman, David Keyes, of sexual assault.

Julia Salazar is a Democratic candidate for the New York State Senate and member of the Democratic Socialists of America. She faces off against incumbent Martin Dilan on Thursday. With just days to go, Salazar tweeted that she was sexually assaulted by Keyes in 2013, before he took up his post as Netanyahu's spokesman.

Conservative columnist Denise McAllister threatened with rape, strangling and forced to go into hiding after anti-abortion tweet

Last week, PJ Media contributor and Fox News guest Denise McAllister sent out a powerful tweet denouncing the abortion movement. Little did she know, days later she would be in hiding, scared for her life. When she went public about receiving death and rape threats, pro-abortion Twitter users championed the threats against her.

"At the root of [abortion] hysteria is women's unhinged desire for irresponsible sex. Sex is their god. Abortion is their sacrament," McAllister tweeted. "It's abhorrent as women have flung themselves from the heights of being the world's civilizing force to the muck and mire of dehumanizing depravity."

As if to prove McAllister's point about depravity, abortion activists jumped on her case, calling her everything from crazy to misogynist to a supporter of "The Handmaid's Tale."

But the real danger came from elsewhere. McAllister told PJ Media that she received death and rape threats, over multiple forms of private communication.

PC culture goes off the deep end with suggestion to nix 'master' and 'slave' from Python programming language

The political correctness debate has now found its way to the world of computers, after a developer from the Python programming language suggested that the words "master" and "slave" should be removed.

"For diversity reasons, it would be nice to try to avoid 'master' and 'slave' terminology which can be associated to slavery," wrote Victor Stinner, a Python developer who works for Red Hat. He included links to previous complaints on the same topic.

But the move quickly put the IT expert at odds with some people on social media who were quick to voice their unease over the suggestion.

Where's HER apology? Why petulant snowflake Serena Williams should say sorry to Naomi Osaka

serena williams and naomi osaka
© USA Today Sports / Reuters
Serena Williams shrieked for an apology from umpire Carlos Ramos she branded a "liar" and a "thief" during the US Open final, but where is her "sorry" to Naomi Osaka, whose dream she dashed with her shameful outburst.

In reality, the only thief was not the strict but respected Portuguese official, but Williams, who stole the sweetest moments from the career of a rising young professional enjoying the early, emphatic and ultimately ephemeral peak of her career.

If the eyes are the window to the soul, Naomi Osaka clearly did not want to afford even a slight glance into her eviscerated inner self to the millions of people watching the trophy and check presentation after the US Open women's singles final climax and controversy on Saturday.

There, the 20-year-old rookie pulled her visor tightly down around her face while tears appeared from those eyes, anguish straight from her torn soul rolling down her cheeks as the crowd booed and hissed at what should have been the greatest moment of her short career.

Comment: In response to Williams' immature tirade toward the Carlos Ramos, top tennis umpires are considering boycotting future tennis matches featuring Serena Williams and forming a union to fight against her sexism claims:
"There is a lot of unhappiness in the umpiring community because no one is standing up for officials," an anonymous senior umpire told the Guardian.

"Umpires keep asking: 'What if it was me in that chair on Saturday?' There is a widespread feeling that Carlos was hung out to dry for nearly 48 hours and that no one is standing up for officials."
What seems clear is the Serena Williams is a person who was used to the breaks going her way during tennis matches, and when that did not happen and she actually had to deal with an umpire ruling the game impartially, she responded like a 12-year-old responds when having their candy taken away from them.

For her, the umpire's ruling couldn't possibly be because she broke the rules, but because of a personal vendetta, sexism, racism, etc. That's the extent of her ability to understand the situation. Not only is she completely unable to read the situation accurately, but her behavior completely mortified Naomi Osaka, who instead of being able to celebrate winning a tennis Grand Slam has to deal with having the spotlight stolen by Serena Williams, who is not used to not having the spotlight on her. That shows a total lack of consideration, sportsmanship and maturity on Williams' part. She should be the one who is mortified, not Osaka.

French art school under fire for 'blackwashing' promotional photo to appeal to US audience

French art school blackwashing
© ameliabrador / Twitter
A French art school sparked a wave of criticism and has been blasted as racist after it digitally altered a promotional photo by retouching skin colors to simulate a class of more varied origin for promotion in the US.

The photos before and after of the students from Emile-Cohl art school in Lyon, eastern France are somewhat reminiscent of the game 'Spot the Difference'.

If you start looking attentively at the photo, you'll see that a student in the first row, third from right, is given a tan. Also, a man in a black T-shirt has been darkened, as well as a woman in the fourth row.
