'Not right for mainstream media to lie about and target conservative Christians'

The New York Times is being sued for $10 million for reporting during the COVID-19 pandemic that students at Liberty University were victims after university officials decided to reopen campus after a break.

Paul Bedard's "Washington Secrets" column in the Washington Examiner reported that in a 100-page suit filed in Virginia's Lynchburg Circuit Court, the university charged that New York Times reporter Elizabeth Williamson and photographer Julia Rendleman ignored "No Trespassing" signs to tour the campus when it was trying to keep away outsiders who might be infected with the coronavirus.

Young Australians are taking less illicit drugs compared to 20 years ago.
More young Australians are experimenting with vaping, even if they've never smoked cigarettes, but they are turning away from alcohol and illicit drugs.

The latest national snapshot of household drug use showed one-in-five young adults who didn't smoke had tried e-cigarettes.

In 2016, just over 2.5 per cent of people aged 18-24 were vaping.

A statue of Jesus was beheaded at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Kendale Lakes July 15, 2020
A statue of Jesus Christ as the Good Shepherd that has been in the courtyard of a Kendale Lakes Catholic church for decades has been beheaded and police are trying to figure out who is behind the act.

The statue, which sits behind the church at 14187 SW 72nd St., was desecrated sometime Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

"This is an attack on the church," said Mary Ross Agosta, a spokeswoman for the Archdiocese of Miami. "This is not only private property, it is sacred property."

Ross Agosta said church personnel found the statue with its head on the ground just before 8 a.m.

"This is not something you can trip over and say, 'Oh, sorry,' " she said. "Someone did this intentionally."

Comment: So not just statues of "racist" figures in history - but all statues, and all figures of history - or in this case religious figures. What insanity we're seeing on display.

Portland police say protesters threaten to burn down the precinct for clearing occupied parks

Protesters in Portland, Oregon are said to have threatened to torch a police station, hours after law enforcement cleared out a street encampment. The acting Homeland Security chief has arrived in the city to assess the situation.

Demonstrators descended on several areas in downtown Portland on Thursday evening, with dozens of activists surrounding the Portland Police Bureau's Southeast Precinct building. Officers requested that demonstrators vacate the area after they "heard chants stating the crowd around Southeast Precinct wants to enter the property and burn down the precinct." The police force warned that anyone who trespasses on the property would be subject to arrest and crowd control munitions.

Former Israeli Health Ministry Director General: We are heading towards a winter lockdown

A street in Bnei Brak as Israel enforces a lockdown, April 3, 2020.
Former Health Ministry director-general Prof. Gabi Barbash fears that Israel is heading for to another lockdown next winter.

In an interview with 103FM radio, Barbash, who is the former director-general of the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv as well as former Health Ministry director-general, said that due to the coronavirus outbreak coinciding with the expected return of the seasonal flu, the upcoming winter is going to be exceptionally challenging. "We are headed to a long lockdown in the coming winter," he said.

Barbash further commented on the government's decision to impose new restrictions, which will come into effect Friday at 5:00 p.m.The decision is part of a larger package of restrictions intended to curb the rapid spread of the coronavirus.

Comment: "...since the chances of being infected with coronavirus in the open air are low." And that, concisely, is the rebuttal on lockdown protocol. Stringing together even two pieces of proven logic is more than most 'authorities' care to consider.

Police disperse protesters in Portland, Oregon on June 13, 2020
The Trump administration is rebuking Portland officials for enabling a violent siege that has dragged on for nearly eight weeks, firing the latest salvo in a clash with leftist mayors over failures to restore order to US cities.

Portland's leaders "refuse to restore order to protect their city," acting Homeland Security chief Chad Wolf said in a statement issued Thursday. He provided a 47-day timeline, stretching from May 29 to July 15, chronicling a series of attacks on property and people by "violent anarchists."

The statement came two days after Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler said his biggest concern was the violent tactics that federal law enforcement officers were using against protesters. "We do not need or want their help," he added, and suggested that federal officers "stay inside their building or leave Portland altogether."

This new wave of lockdowns will ensure the US remains in an economic depression through the 2020 election

Covid puzzle
Another wave of lockdowns has begun, and that is really bad news for the U.S. economy. The first wave of lockdowns resulted in the permanent closing of more than 100,000 U.S. businesses, colossal lines at food banks around the nation, and the loss of tens of millions of jobs. Needless to say, this new wave of lockdowns will make things even worse, and some are speculating that this is precisely what Democrats want. If the U.S. economy continues to fall apart as we approach the election in November, the thinking is that this will make President Trump look bad and will make it more likely that people will cast votes for Democrats. But there is also the possibility that this could backfire in a huge way for the left. If millions of Americans start to identify the Democrats as "the party of the lockdowns", that could actually greatly help President Trump in November.

At this point, the battle lines are becoming quite clear. President Trump and other top Republicans are strongly against more lockdowns, but Democratic politicians in many areas of the country are starting to institute them anyway. In fact, we just learned that all schools in Los Angeles, San Diego, Atlanta and Nashville will be closed at the beginning of the new school year...
Resisting pressure from President Donald Trump, three of the nation's largest school districts said Monday that they will begin the new school year with all students learning from home.

Schools in Los Angeles, San Diego and Atlanta will begin entirely online, officials said Monday. Schools in Nashville plan to do the same, at least through Labor Day.

Columbus' proposed SPLC-backed police witch hunt will send chills down your spine

Southern Poverty Law Center: A hate group that targets 'hate groups'
The city council of Columbus, Ohio, is considering legislation to screen police officers for any connection to "hate groups" (including secretly harboring the beliefs of "hate groups"), citing the ever-so-reliable Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). Former SPLC employees have confessed to taking part in a hate-for-pay scheme, exaggerating the number of "hate groups" in order to bilk donors, and the SPLC faces numerous defamation lawsuits regarding that "hate group" accusation. Even so, a city council member told PJ Media that the council will define "hate group" in such a manner as to include organizations accused by the SPLC, and to go further.

"We want to make it clear that our challenge with developing this legislation will be in defining what is considered a hate group," Columbus City Councilmember Shayla Favor, chair of the Criminal Justice Committee, told PJ Media in a statement.

Soros-backed attorney Kim Gardner's long history of outlandish behavior even before going after the McCloskeys

kim gardner

St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner
Far left billionaire George Soros has been systematically targeting district attorney races throughout the United States for several years now. Several of his candidates are already in office creating havoc. In St. Louis City George Soros was Kim Gardner's biggest donor in her race for Circuit Attorney. Soros funded PAC even released an ad in support of this far left and unqualified nutcase.

Kim Gardner may be the most radical Soros-funded Circuit Attorney in the nation today.

Kim Gardner is so intolerable that two dozen attorneys and more than one-third of the trial lawyers left the office when she was hired. And this is a Democrat dominated office!

Comment: Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) has weighed in on the affair, penning a letter to Attorney General Bill Barr:
Senator Josh Hawley is calling for a federal civil rights investigation into St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner after claiming she is "targeting the McCloskey family for using firearms to defend themselves and their property against a mob of protesters."

"This is an unacceptable abuse of power and threat to the Second Amendment, and I urge you to consider a federal civil rights investigation into the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office to determine whether this investigation and impending prosecution violates this family's constitutional rights," Hawley wrote.

"I am deeply disappointed that a U.S. Senator would intervene in a local matter that is under investigation," said Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner in a statement.
