Yakov Rabkin slams Zionism: "Opposed to Jewish tradition and liberalism"

Last year one of the most important books on Zionism, ever, was published in English by Pluto: What Is Modern Israel? by Yakov Rabkin, a professor of history at the University of Montreal. The central theme of the book is how Zionists have exploited Judaism and western traditions to offer Israel as a liberal democracy when it is actually a nationalist colonialists project hanging on by its paranoid fingernails.

Rabkin has expertise. He is a religious academic, and it is his Judaism that has brought him to embrace universalist cosmopolitanism when it comes to interpreting history in our century. Given his background, he has been able to defy what he calls the "climate of intellectual terror that surrounds the Question of Israel."

In reading his book, it struck me that the greatest service I could provide to a reader is to roll out Rabkin's deadly insights about the nature of the "Jewish state," and the essential antagonism of Judaism and Zionism. What follows is a long sequence of Rabkin's observations and findings, all of which aim to end that climate of terror and allow westerners to speak freely about the Zionist era. Let's go.

Muslim women visiting Holocaust memorial in Poland report racial abuse by locals

A group of Muslim girls from Berlin say they were racially abused on a visit to Holocaust memorials in Poland. The girls, part of a student group, say that locals spat on them and threatened them, while local police did nothing to protect them.

Twenty youngsters from the Theodor Heuss Community School in the Moabit district of Berlin went on a trip organized by the German-based House of the Wannsee Conference, a Holocaust memorial group. The group went to Warsaw, Lodz, Lublin and Krakow, and visited the former concentration camps Majdanek and Treblinka.

The trip aimed to educate the students on the Holocaust and how the Poles suffered in the course of the Nazi occupation.

Four girls from the group later told the German Deutschlandfunk radio station that they had suffered racial abuse while on the trip. Those wearing headscarves were targeted most of all, the students' teacher Sabeth Schmidthals said, as reported by Tagesspiegel.

A group of teens viciously beat a pregnant woman at a Long Island High School graduation, according to witnesses and a shocking video posted on social media.

Cell phone video of the horrifying attack was taken by a student at the Sunday graduation for the 2017 class of William Floyd High School in Brookhaven, L.I.

In the video, at least three people are seen repeatedly punching and kicking a young woman while she lies prone on the ground and covers her face. At one point, another young woman runs up and punches her.

When the victim, whom FiOS1 News identified as Bianca Bouchard, finally gets up, blood is streaming from her face, and her clothing is torn and ruined, the video reveals.

Lockdown: Possible active shooter at Army's Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama

There is an "emergency situation" at Redstone Arsenal, an Army garrison outside Huntsville, Alabama, which may be an active shooter, local news reports. The post has been placed on lockdown, and employees are sheltering in place.

Marshall Space Flight Center and Redstone have both issued alerts. The flight center said there is an "emergency situation" near the Sparkman Center, while the arsenal tweeted about reports of an active shooter.

A second message from Marshall was sent half an hour after the first one, reading:

"An active shooter has been reported at the RSA Sparkman Center. Personnel in this area take protective action now. This is not a drill."

Redstone was scheduled to have active shooter training on Wednesday, but officials at the arsenal told the Huntsville Times that this is a genuine incident.

Comment: Fuzzy. No apprehends nor arrests. If this was a bonafide incident, and reports are to the contrary, it is odd timing that the arsenal was prepping to hold 'an active shooter drill' on the following day. Likely someone's idea of a pre-emptive drill.

According to CNN:

...the lockdown was lifted late Tuesday afternoon when investigators determined those reports were unfounded, Garrison Commander Col. Thomas Holliday Jr. said at a news conference. The 911 calls were "not credible information". Holliday said 911 received two calls from the Sparkman Center around 9 a.m., one saying shots were fired and the other saying someone saw a weapon.

At first much of the sprawling military base was locked down. An Army email sent to facility personnel and relatives shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday said an active shooter was reported on the second floor of Building 5301, the Aviation and Missile Command building at the Sparkman Center complex.

Investigators will try to find out what did happen, he said. Base security personnel were working with the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

According to Fox News:

"The incident is now under investigation," Holliday said. Labeling the "active shooter" calls as an "isolated incident," Holliday said that the response that took placed showed that "our systems worked."

"That was proven today," Holliday said.

North Carolina man given life sentence for ISIS-inspired plot

A North Carolina man was given a life sentence in federal prison for his Islamic State-influenced plot to attack within the US. He has been sentenced to life in prison and is awaiting trial for a previous murder charge.

Justin Nojan Sullivan, 21, of Morganton, was arrested in June 2015 in connection with a plot to kill 1,000 people with an assault rifle that he intended to buy at a gun show, according to the US Department of Justice. His arrest was made before the gun show.

US District Judge Martin Reidinger handed down the sentence, the DOJ press release said.

Sullivan was not only planning on carrying out an attack at a large venue or concert, but also he hoped to film it, in order to help the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) use the tape for recruitment, Fox News reported.

Nearly 850 rape kits at Austin Police Department found to be growing mold

Mold has been found growing on the outside of hundreds of backlogged sexual assault kits sitting in a storage refrigerator at the Austin Police Department, raising concerns about the validity of test results from DNA samples.

On Monday, the Austin Police Department (APD) sent a memo to Austin Mayor Steve Adler and other Council members, informing them that Signature Science, a private forensics lab hired to help the city with their backlog, told them that they found mold in one of the samples they received from APD on April 25.

"I can't stand here today and tell you how it happened, and again hopefully, that's part of what we can understand from the review that we'll have done," Austin Police interim chief Brian Manley said, according to KEYE.

At a press conference Tuesday, interim Police Chief Brian Manley said the day after they found out about the mold problem, the department conducted an internal audit of 1,629 sexual assault kits and found 849 had "some type of mold on the outer box."

While many think that the state taking children from parents is a noble gesture to protect the child, all too often, the state removes kids from a bad situation and throws them into a situation akin to a horror film. A recent lawsuit against the state of Arizona proves this notion.

The lawsuit involves a 5-year-old girl whose stay in foster care ended with her being permanently disfigured and fighting for her life earlier this year because of her bureaucratic 'protection' within the system. The child, who is referred to as Jane Doe in the lawsuit, but whose real name is Devani, was taken from her parents because they had substance abuse issues.

Because her mother struggled with addiction, the state took Devani from her. Like mentioned before, they took her from a bad situation and threw her into a nightmare.

After having her child taken, Michelle Tremor-Calderon, the girl's biological mother, began to improve her condition. With a clearer head, Tremor noticed that her daughter seemed to be deteriorating in the care of her state-appointed foster parent — David Frodsham.

"I did everything DCS wanted me to, and received certificates of completion, and was in full compliance when my rights were severed," Tremor said.

After only a few weeks in the care of the Frodsham, multiple signs of abuse and neglect began to arise. However, no action was taken.

Tremor had pointed out, on multiple occasions, that her daughter had continued urinary-tract infections, which can sometimes indicate signs of repeated sexual abuse in children. Her concerns, however, fell on deaf bureaucratic ears.

Virginia student pleads guilty to registering dead voters for Democrats

Andrew Spieles, a 21-year-old James Madison University student, is heading to prison for at least 100 days for registering deceased voters for Democrats during the 2016 presidential election.

A student from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, will spend at least 100 days in prison after admitting to registering deceased voters for Democrats during the 2016 presidential election.

Andrew J. Spieles, 21, pleaded guilty Monday in the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Virginia to submitting the names of dead voters to the registrar's office in Harrisonburg, WTVR-TV reported.

The student was working for Harrisonburg Votes when he committed the crime, according to U.S. Attorney Rick A. Mountcastle. Harrisonburg Votes, whose website has since been deleted, has ties to the Democratic Party.

Tory Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt has come under fire after it emerged he knew that a botched mail delivery service had reportedly endangered the lives of hundreds of patients but kept it to himself

It was revealed in February by the Guardian newspaper that private company NHS Shared Business Services (SBS), which is partly owned by the Department of Health, failed to process a bulk of letters that included cancer diagnoses, blood test results and details of treatment.

The National Audit Office (NAO), which is responsible for investigating what has been dubbed a "colossal blunder," published a report stating Hunt had

"decided not to alert Parliament or the public" until March 2016, despite the extent of the crisis being known since December 2015.

Because of Hunt's close business ties with NHS SBS, the audit suggested "there is a conflict of interest between the secretary of state's responsibility for the health service as a whole and his position as an NHS SBS shareholder."

Comment: Add another blunder to the tally of egregious acts of criminal negligence that the English government has perpetrated against its citizens. They're starting to catch up with the US!
