#MeToo accommodation: HBO hires 'intimacy coordinator' to navigate sex scenes

HBO's The Duece
As the repercussions from #MeToo continue to shake Hollywood, cable station HBO is hiring an "intimacy coordinator" to monitor the filming of its (plentiful) sex scenes.

The station is opting to bring the coordinator on board to monitor sex scenes in every production that has them, after an actress playing a porn star and prostitute asked for a little more protection on set than her character had in the series.

When Emily Meade, who stars in the TV drama 'The Deuce,' approached production staff in the immediate aftermath of the #MeToo revelations last year to request an "advocate purely for sexual scenes," HBO hired Alicia Rodis, whose practices have since so endeared her to 'The Deuce' showrunner David Simon that he told Rolling Stone he'd never work without an intimacy coordinator again.

HBO shows are somewhat notorious for their copious sex scenes, and 'The Deuce' is no exception. An hour-long drama about prostitution and the porn industry set in 1970s New York, the show is chock-full of nudity and sexual encounters.

Fake Sanitation Department posters depicting Trump-supporting middle-Americans as "trash," have appeared across New York City, true to the stereotype of coastals' liberal attitudes.

One of the posters in the series depicts an overweight 'redneck' type, arm tattooed with a Confederate flag, wearing a red 'Make America Great Again' hat and slurping from a Chick-fil-A cup.

Americans have rapidly become government dependents - what will they do when the economy tanks?

socialists
As the middle class disintegrates and poverty grows, more Americans than ever are becoming dependent on the government just to survive. Today, we live in a country where most workers do not earn enough to support a middle class family, and we are seeing the homelessness crisis spiral out of control in major cities on both coasts. During this election cycle, many conservatives have been freaking out that an increasing number of Democrats are openly embracing socialism, but the truth is that we are already most of the way to becoming a socialist country. In fact, as you will see below, more than half of all Americans currently receive more money from the government than they pay in taxes. We have become absolutely addicted to government money, and this is one of the major trends that is eating away at our nation like cancer.

The government is not supposed to take care of us from the cradle to the grave.

Rather, our founders understood that the proper role of government is to create and protect an environment of liberty and freedom where we would be empowered to take care of ourselves.

Today, most Americans cannot independently take care of themselves, and that makes them dependents. And when you are a dependent, you aren't really free.

NBC's 'Today' show with Megyn Kelly is on the way out, making her departure from the network official. But the reason for her exit - comments she made about 'blackface' costumes - has come under scrutiny.

NBC has said it is canceling 'Megyn Kelly Today' and will replace her show with 'Today' anchors.

The 'Today' show - which Kelly co-hosts - disclosed on Friday that their soon-to-be ex-colleague "is in talks with the network about her imminent departure."

Hen Mazzig

By 2014 Mazzig had already spoken to over 40,000 students from high school through college, and helped defeat a boycott resolution at the University of Washington.

White Helmets check out ruin site in Daraa, Syria.
Militants and the White Helmets group have transported poisonous materials from the city of Jisr al-Shughur to the settlement of Khirbat al Amud, both located in the rebel-held province of Idlib, media reported on Thursday.

According to Lebanon's Al-Mayadeen television, it is unclear what kind of poisonous substance had been relocated.

In late September, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin said that militants as well as White Helmets continued their preparations for plotting chemical attacks to discredit the Syrian government's troops. Both Damascus and Moscow blamed militants and White Helmets for staging several provocations involving chemical weapons to influence public opinion and justify foreign intervention in Syria.

The Russian Center for Syrian reconciliation reported earlier that Daesh terrorists had attacked Nusra Front militants in the Syrian settlement of Ltamenah, killing two White Helmets operatives and seizing two canisters with chlorine.

American authorities are reportedly considering Tommy Robinson's visa after the far-right activist was invited to speak at the US Congress by Republican lawmakers and a conservative think-thank that funds his legal battles.

The English Defence League-founder, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was previously refused entry to the US due to his plethora of criminal convictions. As well as drug possession, violence and public order offences, Robinson was jailed in 2012 for using a friend's passport to travel to New York.

MSNBC host Chuck Todd: Suspicious packages could be 'Russian operation'

It took less than 48 hours for the US mainstream media to go from blaming President Donald Trump for a series of suspicious packages sent to leading Democrats and CNN to blaming - who else? - Russia.

US authorities are still hunting for the person or persons responsible for ten or so packages containing what appeared to be pipe bombs - none of which have actually exploded - that were sent to CNN and prominent Democrats over the past two days.

For much of Thursday night's Meet the Press Daily show on MSNBC, host Chuck Todd and his guests followed the narrative adopted by most media outlets, blaming what they described as Trump's incendiary rhetoric against the press. Then Todd went there.

"I have this fear that it could be some Russian operation," Todd told his guests, explaining his reasoning as, "It is dividing us."

Federal agents have arrested and detained a suspect in connection with a string of suspicious packages sent to prominent Democratic and left-wing figures over the last week.

"We can confirm one person is in custody," a Justice Department Spokeswoman tweeted on Friday. A law enforcement official told Reuters that other potential suspects are also being looked at.

The packages contained crude, homemade pipe bombs, and were sent to an array of Democratic figures, including former president Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, former attorney general Eric Holder, and CNN's New York studios.

Two law enforcement sources have named the man as 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc. Sayoc was arrested in Plantation, Florida, and according to CNN, has a criminal history.

Greek foreign ministry evacuates after suspicious package is delivered by mail

Greek threat

Greek police have ordered the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to evacuate its offices in Athens after a suspicious parcel, which arrived by mail, was discovered in the building, Reuters reported, citing police officials.

Police officials said that the package was "considered suspect" and that a bomb disposal team was on its way to the area.

The ministry is located in the heart of Athens, in a building complex opposite the iconic Old Royal Palace, which houses the Greek parliament. Dozens of ministry employees were seen waiting outside the building for the all clear, local media reported.

The scare comes on the heels of a string of thwarted pipe bomb attacks in the US, with the allegedly-explosive devices being mailed to numerous top Democrats - and even CNN's New York offices. As of Friday, twelve suspicious packages have been discovered across the country.

Comment: As the US has a suspect in custody and the bomb deliveries were more or less cookie cutter in nature, delivery, recipient and content, the Greek threat is most likely unrelated except for timing.
