Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide outside the 5800 block of East Carey Avenue residence, near North Nellis and East Lake Mead boulevards Monday, Oct. 23, 2017, in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas man found dead in a vacant home in the northeastern valley has been identified by the Clark County coroner.

Police said 35-year-old Danny Contreras was found dead at 7:05 a.m. Monday. A woman who thought she heard a man groaning had called 911 requesting a welfare check on the 5800 block of East Carey Avenue, near North Nellis Boulevard.

Contreras died of multiple gunshot wounds, and the coroner ruled his death a homicide.

Based on Contreras' tattoos, Metropolitan Police Department homicide Lt. Dan McGrath said it is possible he had gang ties. But McGrath said the initial investigation showed that the killing likely was related to narcotics rather than gang activity.

Residents on the street described the northeast Las Vegas home as a "problem place with possible drug activity in and out of the home," McGrath said.

Comment: Contreras was at the Las Vegas shooting and tweeted that there were 2 gunman present:

New Zealand's Zionist community calls for expulsion of Iranian diplomat after his 'fiery' remarks

Juliet Moses

Juliet Moses, spokeswoman for the Jewish Council of New Zealand, spearheads the campaign to expel Ghahremani.
You know, it is a peculiar thing to wake up to various people demanding the expulsion of an Iranian diplomat for remarks he made at a private gathering about the state of Israel.

I mean, correct me if I'm wrong about this ... but it was not Iran which boldly threatened a state of war with our country only a few months ago, now, was it.

I have not viewed Secretary Ghahremani's speech in its entirety, and am running off the quotes which have been extracted therefrom to bedeck the sensationalist Sunday newspapers all breathlessly seeking to cover this story.

But going off these, I can only ask where, exactly, it was that he erred?

Heathrow Airport is investigating how a USB stick with over 170 documents, some of them relating to its security system, ended up on a sidewalk in west London. The stick was handed over to the Mirror newspaper by a man who says he found it in the street.

Commenting on the find on Sunday, the airport said it has launched an internal probe into the incident and will also review all security plans to ensure that "Heathrow remains secure."

"We have... launched an internal investigation to understand how this happened and are taking steps to prevent a similar occurrence in future," a spokesman for the airport told AFP.

9 y.o. autistic boy handcuffed and arrested for defending himself against bullies

child arrest
A heartbreaking video was uploaded to Facebook over the weekend by the father of a 9-year-old boy with autism, showing his son getting handcuffed and escorted out of school.

Ronnie Shepperd, the boy's father was there filming as his son was arrested at Needham Elementary School.

"He's watched the video several times. He still talks about it. He's pretty traumatized over the whole ordeal. Any 9-year-old that's being arrested, they don't know what's going on," said Shepperd.

According to Shepperd, his little boy was defending himself against bullies who continuously hit him on the playground.

"Another student was bullying my son several times and he actually told the principal and a lot of staff members here who are in charge of recess about the bullying and they didn't take no steps to make it safe," said Shepperd.

Give money directly and unconditionally to homeless people

Homeless
Don't just buy them a sandwich from Pret. They're not four. They have the right to spend their money as they choose - and it is their money, once given. Don't just give to people performing, singing, or accompanied by a cute dog. Buskers deserve a wage too, of course. But homeless people are not your dancing monkey and they shouldn't have to perform to earn your pity.

Don't second-guess whether people are "really" homeless. Those who think begging is a shortcut to easy money should try humiliating themselves daily in front of thousands of total strangers who won't even look at them or acknowledge their existence. It is gruelling, soul-destroying work. If people are desperate enough to beg, they need it.

Don't just give to people who ask you directly, but to the guy with his head in his hands and a Styrofoam cup on the ground in front of him. Give to the woman who's blind drunk. Give to the guy with meth-rotted teeth. Give to the spice addict who can't look you in the eye.

Many street beggars are addicts, yes. Do addicts not deserve food? Wouldn't you want to drink if you were in their position? Don't you get drunk every weekend to cope with work stress anyway? Who are you to tell them what to do with their bodies?

As the founder of User Voice, a charity led and staffed by former homeless addicts, says: "If your money funds the final hit, accept that the person would rather be dead. If your act of kindness makes him wake up the next morning and decide to change his life, that's nice but not your business either."

The 6 Big Ways Liberals Are Destroying America's Culture

There was a time when we used to be a nation that pushed freedom, responsibility, decency, patriotism and hard work. Some of us still believe in those things, but because of liberalism, much more destructive values have seeped into our culture like toxic waste. There are many ways that liberals have degraded our culture, but these are the worst of the worst.

Neoliberalizam – Nevidljivi neprijatelj kojeg treba prepoznati
1) The Politicization Of Everything

Want to watch football? There are players protesting the flag. Turn on a Hollywood awards ceremony? There are actors making political statements. Want to go to the bathroom in peace? Well, first, we need to know if you're okay with sharing it with someone who feels like the opposite gender today. You're just a regular person telling an off-color joke you heard? Better be careful; that could turn into a front page scandal if the wrong group gets offended. Want to buy a Halloween costume for your kid? Well, you better make sure it's someone of the same race or people will be upset. Want to go on a date? If you date someone of the same race, you may be racist. Ready to marry your honey? Then you better support gay marriage or you're a homophobe. I can remember a time in America where you could just live your life without paying attention to politics at all if you wanted and that was a good thing. Remember that old saying? Never discuss race, religion or politics in polite company? Well, because of liberals, you don't have a choice anymore.

Havana will lift some hurdles to make it easier for Cuban-Americans to visit the island, Cuba's foreign minister said. The move comes amid tensions between the two neighbors over allegations of mystery "sonic attacks" on US diplomats in Cuba.

"The US government closes, and Cuba opens," Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez told a meeting of Cuban Americans in Washington on Sunday. He said Cubans residing in the US will no longer need to have their national passports reviewed by the Cuban Embassy to prove their eligibility to travel to the island.

The government will also eliminate the 'prerequisite' requiring children of foreign-born Cubans to reside in Cuba for at least 90 days before obtaining Cuban citizenship, Rodriguez said, according to the Havana Times. He also promised Havana will legalize Cubans who fled the country illegally, allowing them to visit Cuba.

Body of former bioweapons expert, David Kelly, moved and cremated amid threats from suicide skeptics

Pallbearers carry the coffin of Government weapons expert Dr David Kelly at St Mary's Church in Longworth, Oxfordshire, 06 August, 2003.
The body of David Kelly, a UK bioweapons expert who died shortly after being grilled in Parliament, has been removed and reportedly cremated over threats of illegal exhumation by people who believe he may have been murdered.

Kelly was one of the scientists who consulted the MI6 on Saddam Hussein's program of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), due to his experience as a UN inspector in Iraq. He was involved in compiling the Britain's 'Iraq dossier' - a document used to justify the invasion of the country the following year.

In 2003, he was exposed as a confidential source behind a BBC report saying the claim that Iraq can launch a WMD attack against Europe in just 45 minutes was placed in the dossier to "sex it up." He was grilled by a Foreign Affairs Select Committee of the Parliament and died two days later. The death was ruled to be suicide, but the circumstances sparked speculation that he may have been killed.

The late expert's body was removed from its grave on the request of the family, which was concerned that a group called Justice for Kelly, which doubts the official version of his death, may "desecrate" it, the British media reported on Sunday. The body was allegedly cremated.

Cop keeps his job after mistaking a camera for a gun and shooting an innocent reporter

cop shoots journalist
While setting up his camera to cover the news, a Clark County Sheriff's deputy opened fire on Andy Grimm-a local newspaper reporter-after he mistook the man's camera for a gun. This incident was recorded on the officer's body camera and there was no dispute that he negligently shot an innocent man.

For shooting an innocent man, the public and police accountability activists called for the immediate firing and prosecution of Clark County Sheriff's Deputy Jacob Shaw. However, because he is backed by the thin blue line, instead of being fired or prosecuted Shaw was given a paid vacation and is now back on the job.

As the Springfield News-Sun reports, he returned to work Saturday, Oct. 21, after he was cleared by a psychiatrist and was assigned to the jail division, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office. Shaw had been working on the road patrol at the time of the shooting.

According to a representative from their office, the Ohio Attorney General's Office is still conducting their own investigation into the shooting. However, the length of time they are taking in this cut and dry case shows they may just be waiting for the coverage to die down before clearing the officer.

Grimm told the paper that he is waiting on the results of the investigation.
