Social Media bias: Twitter bans Alt-Right troll for criticizing CNN while ignoring graphic death threats against Assange

Twitter is no stranger to accusations of double standards when it comes to which accounts it suspends and why, but the latest offender appears to have been banned for a few critical Tweets, while many of the individuals who use the platform to publish graphic death threats enjoy full access.

Alt-Right troll and InfoWars commentator Roger Stone was suspended from Twitter on Saturday after he posted a Tweet calling CNN's Don Lemon a "lying covksucker" and a "dumb piece of shit."

While Stone's insults are crude, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange noted that Stone's comments are nothing compared to the graphic threats both he and Edward Snowden receive on a regular basis.

Comment: More on Roger Stone's Twitter ban: Twitter bans Roger Stone for "inciting or engaging in targeted abuse or harassment"

86-year-old in intensive care after Kingstree police used Taser against unarmed black motorist

Albert Chatfield, 86,

Albert Chatfield, 86, was injured Monday when a Kingstree police officer shocked him with a Taser during a traffic stop
An 86-year-old unarmed black motorist in Kingstree was jolted with a Taser because the white police officer who stopped him worried that the wandering dementia patient would be hit by a car.

Comment: So the cop tasered a 86-year-old man because he was afraid he was going to get hit by a car?!

Albert Chatfield remained hospitalized in intensive care Friday, four days after being injured during the confrontation in the small town two hours north of Charleston, family members said.

His loved ones and their attorney bemoaned the officer's use of force as unconstitutional and unnecessary in corralling an elderly motorist who posed no threat to police.

Libtarded: Alexandria church decides to remove plaques honoring Washington and Lee

Alexandria Church VA
Leaders of a historic Episcopal church in Alexandria have decided to remove a pair of plaques from its sanctuary that memorialize two of their most prominent parishioners: George Washington and Robert E. Lee.

In a letter sent Thursday to members of the Christ Church congregation, church leaders explained that the decision came after much deliberation.

"This was not a discussion we entered into lightly, but rather a sincere attempt to have a family conversation about our worship space, our larger history and our future," they wrote.

Comment: It seems even religious authorities aren't immune to the Libtarded agenda of erasing history. See also:

"I honestly do not remember the encounter, it would have been over 30 years ago. But if I did behave then as he describes, I owe him the sincerest apology for what would have been deeply inappropriate drunken behavior, and I am sorry for the feelings he describes having carried with him all these years," a statement read posted to Spacey's official account on Twitter.

When federal prisons become nursing homes

When Americans think of federal prisons, they probably don't picture nursing homes. But maybe they should. Thanks to the long mandatory sentences that come with many drug offenses, elderly inmates have emerged as the fastest-growing sector of the federal prison population.

As of June 2017, there were nearly 35,000 federal inmates over the age of 51; 10,000 were over the age of 60. Many of these prisoners suffer the same illnesses afflicting the elderly population in free America, from heart disease to Type 2 diabetes to cancer. The difference is that elderly prisoners receive care while shackled to a bed.

Many aging and sick federal prisoners die under horrid conditions-but they needn't. In 1984, Congress empowered the director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) to petition for the early release of inmates in "extraordinary and compelling" circumstances. This power is formally called "compassionate release." It's perfectly legal and reasonably safe: Older prisoners seldom resume their criminal behavior upon release, and terminally ill prisoners almost never do.

Unsafe spaces: Intersectional activists once again attempt to shut down rational dialogue

Rutgers free speech panel
The quiet suburb of New Brunswick, New Jersey, felt more like East Berlin, or Belfast, when I visited on the evening of October 2nd. The student center of Rutgers University had been transformed into a loose approximation of Checkpoint Charlie. After passing through the obligatory picket line ("Are you one of the speakers?" a student protester asked me suspiciously), visitors were screened by a gauntlet of police officers and security guards, who inspected our bags for weapons before allowing us into the building's auditorium.

The occasion for this atmosphere of impending confrontation was a panel discussion - "Identity Politics: The New Racialism on Campus?" - sponsored by the left-libertarian British political website Spiked. As part of its "Unsafe Spaces" American tour, Spiked has convened a series of panels at American colleges this fall to discuss questions of identity politics, free speech, and viewpoint diversity on campus.
