87-year-old Belgian man violently assaulted for criticizing Islam

belgian man
A man with a 'migrant background', attacked the 87-year-old Hendrik Keuleers and left him for dead last year. Since the elderly man started criticising Islam he is no longer safe in his own house.

Keuleers, who lives in the Belgian city of Ghent, is known for his window posters that criticise bull fights, Spain's prime minister and Islam.

It wasn't the first incident for the old man. Belgian media say his house has been terrorised for years after he started criticising Islam with self-made window posters.

His flower pots were destroyed, his windows were smashed, and last year it resulted in the latest attack, during which he was kicked off his bicycle.

Re: Harvey Weinstein lawsuit...AG says 'we have never seen anything as despicable'

After filing suit against Harvey and Bob Weinstein and their company, Eric Schneiderman describes 'flagrant' pattern of misconduct -- Weinstein suit may be turning point, experts say: 'They'll bring him down'

New York attorney general Eric Schneiderman said on Monday that a pervasive pattern of sexual misconduct and corporate enabling at the Weinstein Company was some of the worst his office has investigated.

"We have never seen anything as despicable as what we've seen right here," Schneiderman told reporters, a day after his office filed a 39-page complaint against the company, Harvey Weinstein and his brother Bob. The suit is part of an effort to ensure adequate funds are put aside from the impending $500m sale of the company, and to ensure an end to the pattern of abuse.
"We have to ensure that this all cleaned up and that any deal that removes the two Weinstein brothers, but essentially leaves the rest of the management team intact, should be unacceptable to the purchasers," Schneiderman said.
The complaint, brought by the civil rights division, alleges a pattern of systematic sexual coercion that involved company employees as targets of sexual harassment or as complicit in it.

Syrian government army units have discovered warehouses with weapons and ammunition, including those produced in Israel while patrolling areas in Deir Ez-Zor liberated from Daesh terrorist group (outlawed in Russia), the SANA news agency reported.

The warehouses with a huge amount of rockets, mortars, tank shells and other ammunition were discovered in Al Boukamal and Al Mayadin areas, according to the Syrian state-run news agency. The weapons reportedly were produced in Israel.

A source told the media outlet that in one of the tunnels in the al-Sbikhan village to the east of al-Mayadin, the army units found a factory for manufacturing shells and explosives as well as barrels with a strange essence that could be used for manufacturing toxic substances.

Comment: Evidence of Israeli and US covert support for terrorists.

Zakharova: Kiev's 'barbaric' attack on Donetsk violates Geneva convention

Home in Donetsk destroyed by shelling.
There is no excuse for the recent "barbaric attack on Donetsk," Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said, adding that Kiev broke "all moral norms" in attacking civilians during the night with Grad missiles.

In the early hours of February 3, Donetsk was
"heavily bombarded by the Ukrainian military," Zakharova said. "The city's residential areas were shelled dozens of times with heavy guns, including 'Uragan' and 'Grad' multiple rocket launchers. As a result, several civilians were killed and many - children among them - suffered wounds," the Russian diplomat stated Friday during a press briefing, as quoted by Interfax.
"This barbaric attack cannot be justified. By its actions, Kiev has violated not only the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War, dated August 12, 1949, but has also broken all moral norms," the Russian diplomat said. "Only barbarians can bombard a sleeping city and kill innocent people. We have no other name for those who carried out this attack," she added.

NATO plans to open new command centers in US and Germany

The US and Germany are set to become the locations of two new NATO headquarters, according to officials. The German command center would reportedly be responsible for deploying troops after a possible incursion from Russia.

Speaking to Bloomberg on condition of anonymity, NATO officials said the US will become home to a command center focused on maritime security in the Atlantic.

Defense News, also citing officials, said the headquarters will be a national office run by Americans until activated by NATO in a time of crisis. At which point, the command would be under the control of NATO's supreme commander.

The official cited by Defense News hinted that the new US headquarters would be "not far" from the location of the old Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic office, suggesting that Norfolk, Virginia, is a likely location. However, the day-to-day operations for maritime security will continue to be run from the Allied Maritime Command (MARCOM) in Northwood, UK, according to Defense News.

Watch out for distorted data advises Kremlin on reports of Russians killed in Syria

Russian President's Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov warned journalists not to be misled by distorted data, following multiple reports emerging of Russians killed in Syria.

Peskov added that the Kremlin doesn't have specific data on the number of Russians other than servicemen present in Syria. However, the presidential spokesman did not rule out the possibility that some Russian nationals other than official military personnel might be currently in Syria, as there are no travel restrictions barring private trips to the country.
"We do not have concrete detailed information that would allow us to draw any conclusions. It cannot be ruled out that Russian citizens can be present in Syria. They are not Russian military servicemen, that's all we can say," Peskov told journalists on Wednesday, adding that "our citizens remain Russian citizens whatever happens."
He added that Russia does not plan to impose any legislative restrictions on citizens' private trips to Syria. "There are no restrictions or legislative prohibitions on such trips," Peskov said.

No charges: Dead male prostitute, piles of meth found in Clinton high-profile-donor's home

A high-profile millionaire donor to Hillary Clinton was found with a dead prostitute in his home, with witnesses saying he kidnapped him, and drugs and paraphernalia everywhere and no one has been charged.

The family and friends of Gemmel Moore, 26, are fighting an uphill battle to bring the man they say is responsible for his death to justice. Not surprisingly, the fact that Moore, who worked as a male escort, was found dead at the home of 63-year-old Ed Buck-who's donated hundreds of thousands to Hillary Clinton-has received very little media coverage.

On July 27, Moore's body was discovered inside the West Hollywood apartment of Ed Buck. Buck is a well connected and extremely wealthy political activist who gives massive amounts of money to the Democratic party. His influence is vast as he's given hundreds of thousands to a slew of powerful Democrats including Clinton, Barack Obama, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Los Angeles County District Attorney Jackie Lacey and a variety of state and local organizations in California-which likely explains the reason he's yet to be charged with any crime.

According to a Los Angeles County coroner's report, police and paramedics found Moore naked on a mattress in Buck's living room with a "male pornography movie playing on the television." A spokesman for the coroner's office, Ed Winter, said Buck was inside his Laurel Avenue home at the time of Moore's death and that drug paraphernalia was recovered from the scene.

Teachers are given training on a gun range, as well as in tactical situations
Two schoolchildren died on Tuesday and 14 others suffered bullet wounds when a classmate opened fire outside a school in Benton, Kentucky. It was the third shooting incident at a school in 48 hours and the 11th in the three weeks since the start of the year.

The victims were Bailey Holt and Preston Cope, both 15. A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with the attack.

The story fell somewhere into the middle of the day's news agenda. "Americans have accepted these common atrocities as part of life here," wrote one commenter on the New York Times website. "Another day, another shooting spree, and no political will to do anything about it."

The letter to Donald Trump Jr. that contained a suspicious white powder and landed his wife in the hospital said, "You are getting what you deserve,'' according to law-enforcement sources.

"You are an awful person. This is why people hate you. You are getting what you deserve. So shut the f-k up," sneered the letter-writer, sources said Tuesday.

The note, in an envelope postmarked in Boston, was delivered to the Upper East Side home of Donald Jr.'s mother-in-law at around 10 a.m. Monday, officials said.

Donald Jr.'s wife, Vanessa, opened the envelope and discovered the powdery substance and note, sources said.

A delivery driver arrested over a suspected London terrorism plot planned to gun down Jews, Tottenham Hotspur FC fans, Queen Elizabeth II and David Cameron, the Old Bailey heard.

Aweys Shikhey, a 38-year-old Dutch national, has one wife in Kenya and another in the Netherlands, and children with both women. He is currently of no fixed address.

The man, who the court heard posed as a quiet, hard-working, religious man, allegedly discussed carrying out an attack in North London targeting Jewish people and football fans with an AK47 as they left Tottenham's stadium, White Hart Lane. Shikhey was arrested in May 2017 at London Stansted Airport.
