Jihadists of the world unite! France has been caught with its pants down pallin' around with terr'ists
A Lebanese parliament member, Asem Konsoa, claims that the French are interfering in Syria's politics, citing 118 French military caught in Homs fighting alongside rebels

A pro-Syria Lebanese Member of Parliament (MP) accused France of secretly sending troops to Syria.

The Lebanese Baathist MP Asem Konsoa claimed that the Syrian regime forces arrested 18 French officers and 100 paratroopers, along with 70 Lebanese for joining and fighting within the ranks of the protesters in the restless city of Homs.

Konsoa added that such a "scandal" might threaten the political future of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The MP vowed to divulge more information kept under wraps about the Lebanese "conspirators."

The Lebanese MP anticipates that the armed conflict will cease within a month's time, claiming the Syrian army is increasingly imposing its control on the Baba Amr neighbourhood in Homs.

Iraqi PM: Al-Qaeda moving from Iraq to Syria

Image
Maybe if I speak out of both sides of my mouth, nobody will notice?
Al-Qaeda is moving from Iraq to Syria, where the government is carrying out a bloody crackdown on an uprising, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said in an interview published on Friday.

'Al-Qaeda has started migrating from Iraq to Syria, and maybe it will migrate from Syria to another country, to Libya or to Egypt or to any region where the regime is unstable and out of control,' Mr Maliki said in an interview with Saudi daily Okaz.

'Yesterday, Syria was considering itself outside the circle of the terrorism problem, and today, it is in the heart of the terrorism problem,' Mr Maliki said.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has been carrying out a bloody crackdown on an uprising against his rule since March 2011, in which more than 7,500 people have died, according to the United Nations (UN).

US Director of National Intelligence: 'Al-Qaeda' responsible for Syrian 'suicide' bombings

Al-Qaeda's branch in Iraq likely carried out recent suicide bombings in Syria and has infiltrated opposition forces fighting President Bashar al-Assad's regime, the US spy chief said last night.

Bombing attacks in Damascus and Aleppo since December "had all the earmarks of an al-Qaeda-like attack," James Clapper, Director of National Intelligence, told the Senate Armed Services Committee.

"And so we believe al-Qaeda in Iraq is extending its reach into Syria," he said.

His comments confirmed earlier reports that US officials suspected al-Qaeda's hand in the bombings and follows a recent video message from al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in which he endorses the uprising against Assad's rule.

The writing's on the wall
This is just beyond ridiculous now. Identical talking points across the artificial political divide in the MSM while neither publication offers any shred of evidence to prove their claim. Mockingbird is alive and well in the Western press.
  • from the left.... "...appeared to have been carried out by al-Qaida." MSNBC
  • from the right... "Double suicide car bombings which today shook the heart of the Syrian capital Damascus have been blamed on Al Qaeda." Daily Mail
Who is al Qaeda? What is their origin? Wasn't it al Qaeda that helped the "rebels" in Libya kill Gadhafi and "liberate" his people? Now they bomb government buildings in Syria killing 40-50 civilians and we are supposed to think... what?

The Western "press" is having to report on two massive car bomb attacks which happened in Syria yesterday because photos and videos of the terrorist acts are all over the internet. The attacks targeted Syrian government and police killing 40 people, mostly civilians.

Israel finger mark over Syria unrest

Syrian security forces reportedly seize yet another cache of weapons, bearing traces of Israel's contribution to unrest inside the country.

The shipment had been smuggled into the country for anti-government armed groups.

According to authorities, it included bombs manufactured by Israel.

The cargo is not the first one containing Israel-made weaponry meant for armed saboteurs fighting the central government in Damascus.

On October 16, the Syrian ambassador to the Arab League told a meeting of the regional grouping in the Egyptian capital Cairo that Syrian security forces had seized Israel-manufactured weapons trafficked into the country through Lebanon's soil.

Youssef Ahmad said, "They are Israeli made automatic weapons," which are used by the "armed opposition to kill the sons of our nation."

US continues to back criminal puppets while targeting disobedient leaders

Yemeni dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh has left the capital, Sana'a, for the United States to receive medical treatment.

Saleh says his US journey is for medical treatment and he will return home to continue leading the ruling party. Saleh has been granted full immunity from prosecution, based on a parliamentary law. It was approved on Saturday, under an Arab-initiated power-transfer deal backed by the US. The law also grants limited immunity to Saleh's aides.

It sparked widespread protests by the people who want Saleh to stand trial. They blame him for deadly crackdown on months of anti-regime rallies.

Nearly, two thousand people have lost their lives. The protesters also accuse Saleh of leading a corrupt government during his long-time rule.

Press TV talks with Mark Glenn, with the Crescent & Cross Solidarity Movement, to shed more light on the issue.

Flashback Yemen Protests: Evidence Snipers Shot to Kill

Photographs and amateur video footage have provided the first compelling evidence that professional snipers shot to kill when they opened fire on an anti-government demonstration in Yemen that left at least 52 protesters dead.

Image after image of the dead, men and boys, showed that those killed in the most violent day in the capital city Sana'a for 30 years had been systematically shot through the head and neck by gunmen positioned on city rooftops.

Yet even as the international community condemned Friday's violence, Ali Abdullah Saleh, Yemen's president of 32 years, remained unbowed as his security forces visited more bloodshed on protesters in the port city of Aden, a strategic British colony until 1963.

Police used live fire to disperse demonstrators calling for Mr Saleh's resignation. Local human rights groups said that at least four people died, while more than a dozen more were wounded.

Comment: Why no mass propaganda effort targeting Saleh for 'killing his own people'? Because he is one of the 'good guys' in America, the UK and Israel's War of Terror.

SOTT Focus: Undersea Internet Cables Cut AGAIN!

A series of bizarre coincidences has left several African countries experiencing significantly reduced Internet traffic. The Register reported 28 February that an undersea cable was cut off the coast of Kenya on 25 February, severely reducing Internet traffic along the Eastern side of the African continent. The East African Marine Systems (TEAMS) cable pipes Internet and telecommunications from its landing points in Fujairah in the UAE to Mombasa, Kenya. A ship had apparently "dropped anchor in a restricted area", though no further details, in particular the ship's name, were provided. But what had apparently gone unnoticed up until this incident, at least in Western media, was the severance of three other submarine communications cables further north in the Red Sea on 17 February. The three cables in question were the Eastern Africa Submarine Cable System (EASSy), the Europe India Gateway (EIG) and the South East Asia Middle East Western Europe-3 (SEA-ME-WE-3). EASSy issued a press release on 29 February stating that:

  • The EASSy cable was cut on 17 February 2012 at 14:27
  • The cable cut is at a depth of 165m
  • The cut section of cable is located in the Red Sea between the EASSy landing stations at Port Sudan and Djibouti
  • The vessel believed to be responsible for the cable cut has been identified.
  • The cut is believed to have been caused by the anchor of this vessel, a cargo ship, being dragged more than 150km along the sea bed

Iran a 'Grave Threat,' Netanyahu Tells Canada, but Harper Talks Peace Over Pre-Emptive Strikes

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu began his meeting with Stephen Harper in Ottawa on Friday with a public declaration that Iran poses a "grave threat" to global security - adding that Israel is prepared to "defend" itself if necessary.

"The warnings that I and others have been giving over the years will materialize unless Iran is stopped. And that's why I say the international community must do everything it can to stop it. And the danger is not only to Israel - it is obviously a danger to Israel - but I think it's a danger to the whole world," Mr. Netanyahu said.

The Israeli Prime Minister arrived in Canada against a backdrop of growing fears that Israel could unilaterally strike suspect Iranian nuclear facilities to delay or destroy that country's nuclear capabilities.

"They hang gays, they stone women. This what they're doing today without nuclear weapons and imagine what a regime like this would do if they had atomic weapons," Mr. Netanyahu said.
