White House orders files on F.B.I. informant be make available to all members of House Intel committee

Christopher A. Wray, the FBI director, opposed expanding the number of lawmakers who can read the classified files.
The White House has rebuffed concerns among American intelligence and law enforcement officials and ordered that more lawmakers be given access to classified information about an informant the F.B.I. used in 2016 to investigate possible ties between the Trump campaign and Russia, according to two American officials with knowledge of the decision.

Both the director of national intelligence and the director of the F.B.I. tried to keep the classified documents tightly restricted, fearing that a broader dissemination of operational reports and other sensitive material could lead to more leaks of detailed information about the role of the confidential F.B.I. informant.

Comment: Stefan Halper apparently has a long history with the FBI.

The Truth Perspective: Trump's Zionist Ball and Chain: The Kushner-AIPAC-Port Authority Connection

Trump Kushner Netanyahu
© Hispan TV
Most Americans probably know Jared Kushner as Ivanka Trump's husband, and President Trump's right-hand man working on the Trump administration's Israel-Palestine 'deal of the century'. But how many remember his father, Charles? The elder Kushner is a real-estate developer, like Trump. But he's also a convicted felon who has done jail time for his corrupt 'business' practices, various financial crimes and mafia-like antics. He's also close friends with Benjamin Netanyahu, who once slept in Jared's bed when Jared was a teenager (don't worry, Jared slept in the basement).

Scratch below the surface of Kushner's past and you will uncover the corrupt world of New Jersey and New York politics, the Port Authority, organized crime, and a pay-to-play system that would make Hillary and Bill blush: bribery and blackmail, trysts and affairs, conspiracy and collusion, revolving-door nepotism, backstabbing and lobbying for the interests of a foreign state. As Ryan Dawson of Anti-Neocon Report puts it, "Crooks are using the state to enrich themselves and then using this wealth to further the interest of the Israeli regime and its grip over America money, media, and military power."

Today on the Truth Perspective we discuss Dawson's 2017 documentary God Is Not A Real Estate Agent: Trump's Zionist Ball & Chain, which goes into all these topics in depth.

FBI Special agent caught hiding fact of multiple versions of dossier during questioning by House Judiciary Committee

The salacious "Trump Dossier" that was spread as an amazing example of "fake news" being treated as real, received a further blow to its own credibility by none other than FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok on Thursday in the House Judiciary Committee hearing. Fox News notes that Mr. Strzok indicated that there was not one dossier, but three variations of this document - one held by Senator John McCain, a second by Mother Jones writer David Corn, and Fusion GPS owner Glenn Simpson.

Israel's new "nation state" law: Even early Zionists would be turning in their graves

illegal Israeli settlements

illegal Israeli settlements
This week, Israel's "Nation State" law has caused outrage. In his usual way, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has steamrolled the bill forwards saying he hopes to see it pass before the Knesset enters its summer recess next week. A final version of the bill was discussed by Knesset members on Tuesday, with Israel's President, Reuven Rivlin, expressing his opposition to its contents in a rare political intervention. Israel's Attorney General, Avichai Mendelblit, warned Netanyahu of "possible implications for Israel in the international arena" if the bill was passed "in its current form", prompting the Likud party to consider diluting its most controversial aspects.

An article in Haaretz details the specifics of the proposed law. It explains that the move comes after Israeli politicians - specifically those on the right - have been pushing since 2013 for legislation that would enshrine Israel's Jewish character in law. The proposed "Nation State" law would become a Basic Law, effectively giving it "constitutional-like status". Those on the left have decried the law as undemocratic, saying it legitimises preferential treatment of Jews and will further institutionalise discrimination against Israel's non-Jewish population, estimated to constitute 2.2 million of the country's 8.8 million-strong population as of 2018.

No aspect of the "Nation State" bill has proved more controversial than the clause providing legal justification for Jewish-only towns. The clause in question reads: "The state can allow a community composed of people of the same faith or nationality to maintain an exclusive community," effectively giving the green light for the self-ghettoisation of Jews in Israel. For anyone with an understanding of Jewish history in Europe, such a notion should ring alarm bells.

Report says Rod Rosenstein in peril of impeachment - plans being drawn up

Rod Rosenstein

From left, acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, testify before a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing about the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, on Capitol Hill, June 7, 2017, in Washington.
House GOP members led by Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (NC) have drawn up articles of impeachment against Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, according to Politico.
Conservative sources say they could file the impeachment document as soon as Monday, as Meadows and Freedom Caucus founder Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) look to build Republican support in the House. One source cautioned, however, that the timing was still fluid. -Politico
GOP legislators could also try to hold Rosenstein in contempt of Congress prior to actual impeachment.

Comment: Rosenstein is indeed in a dangerous position. His links to Hillary go way back.

US propaganda machine Time Magazine takes swipe at Thailand

Thailand's Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha
Time Magazine's article titled, "Thailand's Leader Promised to Restore Democracy. Instead He's Tightening His Grip," reflects Wall Street and Washington's growing displeasure with the current Thai government and its seemingly successful efforts to pivot the nation away from US-backed proxies including the ousted regime of Thaksin Shinawatra and his Pheu Thai political party (PTP), and toward a more multipolar footing in Asia and internationally.

This includes stronger ties with not only Thailand's other Southeast Asia neighbors, but also with China and even Russia.

China is now Thailand's largest trading partner, unseating the US.

Thailand is also systematically replacing its ageing US military hardware with Chinese, Russian and European systems including Chinese tanks and submarines, Russian helicopters and European fighter jets.

There are also large infrastructure deals signed between Bangkok and Beijing extending China's One Belt, One Road initiative through Thailand.

Attempts by the US and its media to disrupt this pivot have been ongoing, with Time's article being only a more recent example.

The Thai government, in good faith, provided Time Magazine writer Charlie Campbell an interview with Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha.

Instead of objectively portraying the prime minister's words, Campbell predictably twisted them, intentionally took them out of context, all while interjecting misinformation and lies of omission throughout the article.

The Thai Foreign Ministry denounced Time's article in a statement here, refuting many of Time's many mischaracterizations and outright lies.

More threats: Lieberman warns Syrian soldiers that if they approach border with Israel there will be a "harsh response"

Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman warns that any attempt by Syrian regime forces to deploy in demilitarized border zone will be met with "harsh response" - Iran-affiliated forces working to establish terrorist infrastructure in Syrian Golan, Lieberman says.

Israel promised a "harsh response" on Monday to any attempt by Syrian forces advancing against southern rebel areas to deploy in a Golan Heights frontier zone that was demilitarized under a 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement.

Touring the Israeli Golan Heights, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman ramped up threats to use armed force should regime forces encroach on the border. "Any Syrian soldier who will be in the buffer zone risks his life," Lieberman told reporters.

Syrian government forces backed by Russia have launched an offensive in the southern Daraa province and are widely expected to move on rebel-held Quneitra, which is within an area covered by the armistice.

Congressman Gohmert goes there! Calls out adulterer Strzok for lying to his wife about Lisa Page!

Strzok smirk
On Thursday the House Oversight Committee and House Judiciary Committee held a joint hearing with former top FBI invesigator Peter Strzok.

The hearing quickly devolved into chaos as contentious FBI agent Peter Strzok refused to answer his first question on how many interviews he held before the bogus investigation of the Trump campaign colluding with Russia.

Comment: LOL! You can hear Maxine Waters fire back: "You need yo' medication!"

Seriously though, good on Gohmert for calling out the sociopath. It's going to be so good to see that smirking asshat go to jail.

Greece expels Russian diplomats: The hidden agenda behind an unfriendly move

Tsipras and Juncker
On July 11, Greece said it would expel two Russian diplomats and barred the entry of two others. The formal reason is alleged meddling in an attempt to foment opposition to the "historic" name deal between Athens and Skopje paving the way for Macedonia's NATO membership. Moscow said it would respond in kind.

Nothing like this ever happened before. The relations between the two countries have traditionally been warm. This year Moscow and Athens mark the 190th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Hellenic Republic. They have signed over 50 treaties and agreements. The Greek people's positive attitude towards Russia is well known. It had been widely believed that Athens trusted Moscow more than Brussels. Russian ambassador to Athens Andrey Maslov has recently described Greece "as a reliable partner". More than one million Russian tourists are expected to visit Greece this year.

Unlike the majority of other Western countries, Greece rejected the British request to expel Russian diplomats in the wake of London's claims of Moscow's involvement in the Skripal poisoning. It's also among the few NATO members to have Russian weapons in the armed forces' inventory, including S-300 air defense systems.

Europe: Captive... of America

Donald Trump
© REUTERS / Jonathan Ernst
While browbeating European leaders at the NATO summit this week, US President Donald Trump used a rather unfortunate metaphor. He described Germany and Europe as "captive of Russia".

Trump was erroneously referring to the huge and mutually beneficial trade in natural gas between Russia and Europe. He was implying that Germany and the rest of Europe are excessively dependent on Russian fuel, and thereby are "controlled" by Moscow's geopolitical agenda.

Sometimes garbled thinking, however, inadvertently brings attention to the truth. And the truth is, Europe is far more a captive of US objectives than it is ever of Russia. A captivity that continually damages Europe's best interests in the service of American hegemonic power.

What's more, the European leaders seem to suffer from "Stockholm Syndrome". This is the name of a curious condition which psychologists attribute to cases whereby victims of a hostage-taking situation bizarrely develop a trust or deference towards their evil-doing captors.
