The politics of Russia-gate explained

trump and obama
There may be a turn-about-is-fair-play element to Democrats parsing the words of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and other Trump administration officials to hang them on possible "perjury" charges. After all, the Republicans made "lock her up" a popular chant citing Hillary Clinton's arguably illegal use of a private email server as Secretary of State and her allegedly false claim under oath that her lawyers had hand-checked each of her 30,000 or so emails that were deleted as personal.

But there is a grave danger in playing partisan "gotcha" over U.S. relations with the world's other major nuclear superpower. If, for instance, President Trump finds himself having to demonstrate how tough he can be on Russia — to save his political skin — he could easily make a miscalculation that could push the two countries into a war that could truly be the war to end all wars - along with ending human civilization. But Democrats, liberals and the mainstream news media seem to hate Trump so much they will take that risk.

UK MPs criminality to remain secret under scheme intended to protect sexual assault victims

MPs alleged to have cheated on their Parliamentary expenses will be given anonymity under new rules, it has emerged as a record ban was handed to an MP for failing to declare an expenses-paid holiday to Sri Lanka.

The Government has been accused of protecting "the sensitivities of politicians" after attempting to quietly push through a change which would hide the names of all MPs under investigation.

Since 2010, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards has listed all MPs under inquiry on its website and rulings are also automatically published.

The proposed change would make the process anonymous. In addition, the commissioner would no longer automatically publish her verdicts, and it will be up to the complainant to make decisions public - although the Commissioner could decide to do so it is in the public interest.

The plans will be a "secret and radical departure" from "openness and transparency", MPs warn.

Comment: Considering recent crimes by MPs, ranging from petty expense fiddling to pedophilia, it makes sense that they would hijack a bill aimed at protecting sexual assault victims and use it to conceal their continued descent into villainy: Also check out SOTT radio's: Behind the Headlines: Perfidious Albion: If Russia is a Rogue State, What is the UK?

Putin's speech in Valdai is what started the anti-Russia hysteria

Putin at Valdai
Sometimes it is possible to lose clear sight of the reality of politics because of the optics and all the "noise" associated with differing points of view. For the average American partaker of mainstream network news (and lately this applies to cable news outlets as well), the viewing public still tends to absorb the tone and rhetoric of the day. These people, often without any personal critical thought, simply go and echo it to their friends and neighbors, and even back to the news media or polling agencies. This has certainly been the case regarding Russia.

Case in point: An opinion piece on the Fox News website, by Dan Gainor makes note of the absolute media carnage (not too strong a word in this case) concerning the reaction of the political establishment and almost ALL media outlets (including Fox) to President Trump's conciliatory tone struck with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Helsinki Summit, one week ago today.

We have excerpted from his piece, adding emphasis:

Comment: If it's one thing the Deep State hates, it's having to deal with reality. Putin clearly outlines the dangers of such an approach and the reality of the situation. It's no wonder you rarely see the mainstream press cover Valdai, in particular when Putin speaks. He hits too close for their comfort year on end. See also:

Clapper admits that Obama started the bogus 'Russian collusion' investigation

(L-R) Robert Mueller, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Andrew McCabe
Former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper admitted in a CNN interview Saturday that former President Obama instigated the ongoing investigations into Donald Trump and those in his orbit.

Speaking with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Clapper let slip:
If it weren't for President Obama we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set up a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today including Special Counsel Mueller's investigation. President Obama is responsible for that. It was he who tasked us to do that intelligence community assessment in the first place.

Comment: The Duran's Alex Christoforou also provides a concise analysis of Clapper's statement:

Trump sets the record straight, says he's 'very happy' with N. Korea's denuclearization progress

New satellite imagery showed partial dismantlement of North Korea's satellite launch facility. It comes as the US media reported that Donald Trump is somehow unhappy with the denuclearization progress of the Korean Peninsula.

Images of Sohae Satellite Launching Station, released by monitoring group 38 North on Monday, showed that Pyongyang has apparently begun dismantling work there. The satellite snapshots dated July 20 depict the presence of a crane and vehicles conducting deconstruction work on a building used to assemble space-launch vehicles, including a rail-mounted transfer structure. Other satellite pictures of Sohae Station show the dismantlement of a nearby rocket engine test stand previously used to run liquid-fuel engines for ballistic missiles and space-launch vehicles by Pyongyang.

"Since these facilities are believed to have played an important role in the development of technologies for the North's intercontinental ballistic missile program, these efforts represent a significant confidence-building measure on the part of North Korea," the monitoring group said in their report.

Vanessa Beeley: Trudeau Government admits terrorist auxiliaries to Canada

The fact that Canada is admitting as refugees at least 250 White Helmets and their family members exposes the involvement of the Trudeau government, like the Harper government before it, in the illegal, US-led, regime-change operation in Syria.

These two federal governments are collectively responsible for setting up and continuing the international coalition that produced the proxy war against Syria, using terrorist mercenaries as its footsoldiers; leading the international regime of brutal economic sanctions against Syria which turned about four million Syrians into refugees - (the international sanctions regime was drawn up in a meeting in Ottawa in June 2013); demonizing the legitimate government of Syria, breaking off diplomatic relations with it, and trying to delegitimize it in international forums; supporting armed rebels against Syria, a member state of the United Nations, by bringing their leaders to Ottawa and giving them funds; overflying Syria on military missions without the express consent of its government; and supporting the propaganda arm of the regime change operation through the White Helmets.

Russian Foreign Ministry: Rescue op by Israelis of White Helmets shows who payrolled them

From the link above, Russia's Foreign Ministry said:

"It's well known, that the White Helmets had their hand in the most notorious false flag operations during the Syrian conflict. They acted exclusively on territories under the control of Islamic radicals, staged blatant falsifications, which were used then as a pretext to raise accusations against the Syrian authorities."

From day one of the Syrian invasion, the flow from Jordan into Syria of these terrorist proxies, which the White Helmets were ultimately embedded, has been well established. Take for instance this from two years ago when 7000 US/UK/Saudi-backed terrorists ready to cross into Syria from Jordan. Now, these proxy 'assets' are being pulled out near the same place - and who is who among them will be anyone's guess.

Trey Gowdy: 'No evidence' Trump colluded, Schiff 'would have leaked it'

Rep. Trey Gowdy
GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy utterly unloaded on the never-ending Russia investigation over the weekend, saying he has seen "no evidence" the Trump administration "colluded" with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election.

Schiff [Gowdy] was speaking with Fox News Sunday when he was asked to comment on special counsel Robert Mueller's year-long probe; adding that if there were any credible evidence it would have already been leaked by Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff.

"I have not seen one scintilla of evidence that this president colluded, conspired, collaborated, with Russia. And neither has anyone else, or you can rest assured, Adam Schiff would have leaked it," Gowdy said.

"That is why they have moved on from collusion on to obstruction of justice, which is now their current preoccupation," he added.

Photos of Hillary Clinton having dinner with longtime pal Harvey Weinstein weeks after her election loss have emerged.

The Clintons were reported to have dined with the disgraced film producer, his wife Georgina Chapman and lawyer David Boies at Rao's in Harlem, five weeks after Trump was elected president.

Details of their dinner were revealed in a New York Times article on Weinstein last year, two months after he was accused of sexually assaulting multiple women in a damning exposé.

Clinton and Weinstein were in talks to create a TV documentary about her failed campaign until allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced against him.

In the exclusive pictures obtained by DailyMail.com, the group are seen at the famed Italian restaurant chatting over some wine and dinner.

'Treasonous' Trump in the center of the conspirators' crosshairs

President Donald Trump
At least the White House can be happy that the resident Hitler-in-Chief's inhuman separation of innocent migrant children from adults caught illegally crossing the US border with Mexico matters to nobody anymore. Everyone's moved on. "Children in cages" is yesterday's news.

The issue now is treason, a crime carrying the death penalty.

On that score America and the entire world owe former CIA Director and onetime communist voter John Brennan a debt of gratitude for pointing out that President Donald Trump's expressing the slightest hint of doubt about conclusions reached by the US Intelligence Community is both impeachable and treasonous.

Brennan didn't just make that up, you know. It's in the Constitution of the United States, right there in black and white:
Article II, Section 1: "The executive Power shall be vested in an Intelligence Community of the United States of America."

Article III, Section 3: "Treason against the United States, shall consist in doubting the Intelligence Community in any way, shape, or form."

Comment: Excellent breakdown of the timbre and tone of the country and those who would sacrifice everything to destroy the president. May they think again.

John Brennan, his melt down and cover up

Former CIA Director John Brennan
He accuses Trump of treason. But what's his bluster really about?

It isn't a pretty face, but one scarred from a dark past, repackaged now by the frenzy of "resistance." Accusing Donald Trump recklessly, implying he knows more than he lets on, promising redemption: John Brennan is the face of American politics in 2018.

But before all that, Brennan lived in a hole about as far down into the deep state as one can dwell while still having eyes that work in the sunlight. He was director of the Central Intelligence Agency. He was Obama's counterterrorism advisor, helping the president decide who to kill every week, including American citizens. He spent 25 years at the CIA, and helped shape the violent policies of the post-9/11 Bush era. He was a fan of torture and extrajudicial killing to the point that a 2012 profile of him was entitled, "The Seven Deadly Sins of John Brennan." Another writer called Brennan "the most lethal bureaucrat of all time, or at least since Henry Kissinger." Today, however, a New York Times puff piece sweeps all that away as a "troubling inheritance."

On Twitter this week, Brennan cartoonishly declaimed,
"Donald Trump's press conference performance in Helsinki rises to and exceeds the threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors. It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trump's comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin."
Because it is 2018, Brennan was never asked to explain exactly how a press conference exceeds the threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors the Constitution sets for impeachment, nor was he asked to lay a few cards on the table showing what Putin has on Trump. No, Brennan is a man of his times, all bluster and noise, knowing that so long as he says what a significant part of the country apparently believes - that the president of the United States is under the control of the Kremlin - he will never be challenged.

Comment: Nuclear war has failed to materialize. Russia hasn't invaded the USA. There are still no WMDs in Iraq. But somehow, Trump Derangement Syndrome is alive and well in America, with no relief in sight. As for Brennan, when you're a dog - you need a bone with gristle.
