Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has launched a criminal case into an alleged coup plot by former President Petro Poroshenko and his associates, an opposition MP has announced, publishing scans of the relevant documents.

"I publish documents ... about launching an investigation into the facts of illegal seizure of state power, large-scale embezzlement and legalizing 'dirty' money by an organized criminal group" which Poroshenko was allegedly part of, Renat Kuzmin, an MP for the 'Opposition Platform - For Life' political party, wrote on Facebook.

The deputy listed Ukraine's former Acting President Alexander Turchinov, former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, former Parliament Speaker Andriy Parubiy, former Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and former high-ranking MP David Zhvania among the other alleged plotters.

Kuzmin also attached scans of the response from the Prosecutor General's Office to his enquiry on the launch of the criminal case. According to the papers, Poroshenko was investigated over coup attempts in 2013-2014 and in 2020.

Yes, Joe Biden WILL raise taxes on those earning less than $400K

Biden

Former VP and presidential candidate Joe Biden
Joe Biden's tax proposals have gone through a variety of iterations over the course of his campaign, but lately, he's settled on a pledge not to raise taxes on those earning under $400,000. This pledge is not consistent with his current proposals, but he's even less likely to be constrained if he's elected president.

Even if Biden claims he would not directly raise income tax rates on those earning under $400,000, there are a number of policy changes he'd make that would directly or indirectly hit taxpayers under that threshold.

As one example, Biden has pledged to bring back Obamacare's individual mandate. Yet in 2018, the last year for which the penalties were still in place, nearly 3.7 million people earning less than $200,000 paid mandate taxes, according to IRS data, which represented nearly 99% of those who had to pay some sort of penalty. And 2.6 million, or about 69% of those who paid the mandate, earned less than $50,000.

Comment: According to the financial analysis: If you vote for Joe, you will be 'paying for it'.

Indonesia cancels hosting American spy planes amid Sino-US Cold War 4

China US fighter jets flags american
The US and China are smack dab in the middle of a new Cold War. The observation in itself should not be startling to readers - as President Trump's trade war metamorphosed into a technology war over the Chinese tech companies' global dominance. Rapidly deteriorating relations between both superpowers, especially since the virus pandemic, has resulted in increased military action in East Asia.

In the last couple of years, we've pointed out the US has constructed a Lockheed Martin F-35 stealth jet "friends circle" around China. More recently, there's been a significant uptick in US spy planes changing their transponder codes to disguise themselves during operations near China.

Lavrov at Valdai: Iron Curtain still separates Russia and the EU

Russian FM Sergey Lavrov
Sergey Lavrov, Russia's Foreign Minister, is the world's foremost diplomat. The son of an Armenian father and a Russian mother, he's just on another level altogether. Here, once again, we may be able to see why.

Let's start with the annual meeting of the Valdai Club, Russia's premier think tank. Here we may follow the must-watch presentation of the Valdai annual report on "The Utopia of a Diverse World", featuring, among others, Lavrov, John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago, Dominic Lieven of the University of Cambridge and Yuri Slezkine of UCLA/Berkeley.

It's a rarity to be able to share what amounts to a Himalayan peak in terms of serious political debate. We have, for instance, Lieven - who, half in jest, defined the Valdai report as "Tolstoyian, a little anarchical" - focusing on the current top two, great interlocking challenges: climate change and the fact that "350 years of Western and 250 years of Anglo-American predominance are coming to an end."

Whistleblower Edward Snowden granted permanent residency in Russia

snowden

Edward Snowden
NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden has been granted an open-ended permanent residency permit by the Russian Federation.

The former CIA and National Security Agency contractor has been living in exile in Russia since 2013 when he blew the lid off the unprecedented mass surveillance operations conducted by US Intelligence. The US has demanded his extradition to face charges for violating the Espionage Act ever since.

"Snowden was granted an open-ended residence permit earlier today," his lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena said Thursday.

Comment: Good on Russia for its protection of human rights. It's fortunate that Russia is not susceptible to the Empire's pressure the way Ecuador was over Assange.

Kamala Harris was in Asheville, NC on Wednesday for a campaign rally, but almost nobody showed up.

The cameras, upon zooming out and panning around at the get-out the vote event, showed just six people present. If there were more people attending, they did not appear on camera, and crowd sounds were not audible.

According to Brietbart, the Asheville event had had to be rescheduled due to concerns when two members of Harris's staff tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

A Biden landslide? Democrats assume victory, while Trump supporters see a rerun of 2016

Donald Trump and Joe Biden participate in a presidential debate in Cleveland, Ohio, September 29, 2020.
The liberal media is abuzz with talk of a landslide victory for Joe Biden in next month's election. But they've been disastrously wrong before and could very well be making the same mistakes again.

With less than two weeks to go until election day, nationwide polls put Joe Biden between two and 11 points ahead of Donald Trump. Media outlets, many of whom have declared their support for the former vice president, are beginning to talk about a Biden presidency. The New York Times went further than most on Tuesday, declaring that "some Democrats can't help whispering" about the incoming Biden "landslide."

UK gov's Sage advisor says local lockdowns won't work, pushes for another national lockdown

Edmunds

Prof John Edmunds: 'I think we are not being as cautious as I would like us to be.' (
One of the government's top coronavirus advisers has said Boris Johnson is not being cautious enough and warned his three-tier local lockdown strategy will not work.

Prof John Edmunds, a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), argued Tier 3 lockdowns - the most severe under Johnson's system - are unlikely to reduce the reproduction (R) rate below 1, meaning there will still be high community infection rates.

He argued a "circuit breaker" national lockdown, something which Sage recommended last month but Johnson resisted, would hold COVID-19 incidence at a "lower level" and reduce hospital admissions.

Big Tech goes all in: Silicon Valley launches $100M anti-Trump ad blitz

A super PAC bankrolled by Silicon Valley moguls is preparing a massive TV advertising campaign to help boost Democratic candidate Joe Biden against President Donald Trump in the final days before the 2020 US election.

The $100-plus million blitz includes at least $22 million from Facebook co-founder Dustin Moskovitz, according to an exclusive report from Recode, a subdivision of Vox. Another Democratic megadonor involved is former Google and Alphabet CEO Eric Schmidt, currently advising the Pentagon on technology innovation.
Called Future Forward, the super PAC has filed federal paperwork on Tuesday disclosing that it has raised $66 million between September 1 and October 15. It has contracted for $106 million of TV ads between September 29 and November 3, according to media tracking firm Advertising Analytics. This makes it the largest Biden booster outside the Democrats' campaign itself, already a fundraising juggernaut.

Comment: Franticizing this late in the campaign, Silicon Dems are confident a financial power sweep of gargantuan magnitude will secure their continued monopolies and blinding dictatorial policies that aim to silence Trump and the American people. Quite a threat. Will it work?

Adam Schiff connected to both companies named in $74B Burisma-US-Ukraine corruption case

Democrat Representative Adam Schiff • Hunter Biden
As reported on Wednesday the head of Burisma Holdings was indicted this week in Ukraine! Ukrainian Prosecutor General indicted Burisma owner Nikolai Zlochevsky. The claim alleges that Hunter Biden and his partners received $16.5 million over several years for their 'services' in Ukraine. Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden took a lucrative post on the Burisma Board in 2014. Hunter Biden was making millions from the corrupt Ukrainian oil and gas company.

New memos released earlier this month revealed Burisma Holdings, Hunter Biden's Ukrainian natural gas company, pressured the Obama State Department to help end the corruption investigation during the 2016 election cycle just one month before then-Vice President Joe Biden forced Ukraine to fire Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor probing his son Hunter. Joe Biden bragged about getting Viktor Shokin fired during a 2018 speech to the Council on Foreign Relations.

The media immediately covered for Biden and said his targeting of Mr. Shokin was totally unrelated to the prosecutor's corruption investigation into Hunter and Burisma Holdings.

Burisma Holdings actually name-dropped Hunter Biden when requesting help from the State Department.

According to CD Media last week former Ukrainian official Oleksandr Onyshchenko said Hunter Biden was receiving "off the books" payments from Burisma in the millions. Earlier this month the chief of Burisma Holdings was indicted in Ukraine. He has gone missing.

Now this...
Democrat Adam Schiff is linked to both US corporations named in the $7.4 BILLION corruption case.
