Michelle Obama defends riots while falsely claiming Trump is 'racist'

Former first lady Michelle Obama spoke out against President Donald Trump, claiming that riots are perfectly fine, and that Trump is racist. Here are some fact checks on those claims.

"They're stoking fears about black and brown Americans. Lying about how minorities will destroy the suburbs, whipping up violence and intimidation, and they're pinning it all on what's been an overwhelmingly peaceful movement for racial solidarity."

That peaceful movement for racial solidarity has seen businesses and livelihoods destroyed, and property damage in up to $2 billion. As the riots have continued, leftist media has endeavored to change the definition of riot, so that property damage is considered something peaceful.

Comment: Stating the obvious, Michelle Obama's narratives are but cynical attempts to shame folks into voting for Biden. Dumbed down implications of terror and destruction suits their political tactic by turning 2020 into '1984'. What is more racial than 'racial solidarity'?

Whether the Dems win this election or not, they more than deserve to clean up this mess.

Trump: Remaining troops in Afghanistan should be home 'by Christmas'

President Donald Trump has hinted that all US soldiers in Afghanistan could come home by Christmas, seemingly going against his own national security adviser, who said more than 2,000 troops would remain beyond the new year.

"We should have the small remaining number of our BRAVE Men and Women serving in Afghanistan home by Christmas!" Trump tweeted on Wednesday evening, exactly 19 years to the day after the US invasion of the country in 2001.

Though the missive did not indicate any shift in policy, the suggestion of a full withdrawal by the holiday is at odds with the timetable laid out by National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien just hours earlier on Wednesday, when he told an audience at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas that the administration would retain some 2,500 soldiers in Afghanistan in early 2021.

Comment: 'Should be' and 'shall be' are two different promises.

An NBC town hall with Joe Biden billed as consisting only of "an audience of undecided Florida voters" included two Cuban American voters who told MSNBC in August they were voting for the former vice president, according to a Tuesday report in the Washington Free Beacon.

Moderator Lester Holt told viewers at the top of the broadcast on Monday night:

"Welcome to tonight's town hall, where we are surrounded by dozens of undecided voters and where Democratic candidate Joe Biden will answer our questions and make his case tonight."

One question at the event came from attorney Peter Gonzalez. Six weeks ago, Gonzalez told MSNBC on Aug. 23 that "if we get four more years of Trump, good luck, and good luck with the future attracting younger voters."

An MSNBC on-screen graphic read "Voting for Biden" underneath Gonzalez as he spoke. The network promoted Gonzalez's comments on its official Twitter and Facebook pages at the time.

Comment: Optics are more important to Biden's campaign than reality. Participants were 'swamped' with bias.

Turkey, Greece agree on talks, confidence building measures, Ankara says

Turkey and Greece agreed on confidence-building measures and holding bilateral exploratory talks after weeks of tensions in a dispute over maritime rights in the eastern Mediterranean, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Thursday. He was speaking after meeting his Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias for the first time since the dispute between Ankara and Athens flared up.

Speaking to state media after the Global Security Forum in Slovakia, Cavusoglu said Turkey would host the first round of exploratory talks once they resume, but that the two NATO members were working on setting a date.

Comment: The ongoing question was whether Turkey would risk a war with Greece by continuing to drill for oil and gas in Greek maritime waters without support in the EU - given a withdrawal would show that Ankara failed to produce an economic justification for its actions or a diplomatic solution to the territorial dispute.

Many in the establishment believe democracy has gone too far. But there is little to back up this line of thinking - it's simply a realisation that their opinions are being drowned out by populists.

'Democracy works better when there is less of it' warns Financial Times commenter Janan Ganesh. As far as he is concerned, "no global trend is better documented than the crisis of democracy," by which he means that too often people vote against the advice of the elites.

Ganesh joins the ranks of a small army of leader writers in the mainstream media who condemn democracy and the supposed stupidity of the electorate. "Too much democracy is bad for democracy" says a headline in The Atlantic. The Economist concurs and claims that "too much democracy threatens freedom."

President Trump on Thursday said he won't "waste my time" participating in a virtual debate with former Vice President Joe Biden, responding to an announcement by the Commission on Presidential Debates that the candidates would be in remote locations for the contest next week.

"No, I'm not going to waste my time in a virtual debate," Trump said on Fox Business.

"That's not what debating is all about. You sit behind a computer and do ... and then they cut you off whenever they want," he continued.

He said the commission is trying to protect Biden.

The president said he just learned about the change in the format Thursday morning.

Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris has graced the cover of a fashion magazine, complete with a platitude-laden interview. Can this hypocritical exploitation of her gender distract from her horrible record?

Harris appeared on the cover of the November issue of Elle, which featured an interview with the candidate "on the power of optimism." It's exactly as platitude-laden as that tagline suggests, and the writer even seems to tire of Harris' pandering, admitting "sometimes it does sound a little like Harris was raised inside a Hallmark card" - though she has no problem helping Harris bury her old image as a corrupt prosecutor, replacing it with that of a reformer. But worse than that, the slickly-produced cover package is taking advantage of an odious double-standard, one that is as sexist as the candidate's supporters claim her critics are.

Rumors have it that the remaining months of 2020 may bring drastic and explosive changes in the world's financial system. But such "doomsday" rumors have been floating around every beginning of fall during the last few years. Why? - The US dollar is getting weaker and weaker. It is not quite on a free fall, but still remains a major trading currency and a key world reserve currency. And for many economists that's difficult to understand.

However, it is unlikely that that the collapse of the dollar will come from one day to the next. That would not be good for the world economy, as still too many countries depend on the dollar.

Facts are,

China's foreign exchange reserves have just increased to US$ 3.112 trillion equivalent, of which about US$ 1.3 trillion denominated in US-dollars - and in general forex-reserves continue to grow;
Within short, possibly by the end of 2021, the Chinese yuan, or renminbi (RMB) could become the world's third largest reserve currency, after the US-dollar and the euro, surpassing the Japanese yen and the British pound, reported by CNBC;
According to Morgan Stanley , at least 10 regulators (i.e. Central Banks and similar forex regulating institutions) added the yuan to their reserves in 2019, bringing the total to 70 - and rising;
According to the FED, the US economy could lose in excess to one third of its GDP up to the end of 2020 or mid-2021, while China's economy is expected to grow by 1.3% (IMF) in 2020, and by China's own estimate up to 3.5%.

Joe Biden is now the subject of an active federal criminal investigation into his role in the CI probe directed at Trump's 2016 campaign.

Recall, Joe Biden was in a January 5, 2017 secret Oval Office meeting discussing General Flynn's phone calls with Russian Ambassador Kislyak with Obama, Yates, Comey, Rice and Brennan and 7 days later he sought to unmask Flynn.

Then-Vice President Joe Biden sought to unmask General Flynn on January 12, 2017 — the same day David Ignatius published his WaPo article about Flynn's communications with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

The criminal investigation into Biden also includes his actives in the Ukraine.

"Ukrainian witnesses are cooperating," says Paul Sperry.

Comment: Biden is clearly as corrupt as they come. But don't expect the 'never Trumpers' to believe it. Or even care.

White supremacy extremism accounted for more fatal attacks than any other domestic violent extremist group since 2018.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security considers White supremacists and other "domestic violent extremists" as presenting "the most persistent and lethal threat" to the nation, the agency revealed in a report on Tuesday.

The DHS's "Homeland Threat Assessment" found that White supremacy extremism accounted for more fatal attacks in the U.S. than any other domestic violent extremist group since 2018, with eight of the 16 violent reported from 2018 through 2019. It also caused the majority of related deaths, with 39 of the 48, the report states.

Comment: Anyone paying attention knows that the vast majority of violence they see on their TV screens, or in their own neighborhoods, is not the result of 'white supremacists'. The anti-police sentiment behind Antifa and BLM is simply being blamed on a different bad guy. It's so transparent as to be laughable, but it remains to be seen whether or not the American public buys it.
