Hunter Biden to speak about 'fake news' at Tulane University

Hunter Biden had become a fixture in the news over the past few years as his father Joe's campaigned to become president of the United States.
Hunter Biden nabbed a speaking gig at Tulane University to talk with students about "fake news" for a course called "Media Polarization and Public Policy Impacts."

The 51-year-old son of President Biden will join the class to discuss "the current state of the media landscape in the United States and how media polarization, fake news and the economics of the new business impact public policymaking in Washington, DC," according to Fox News.

Biden is one of 10 guests speakers invited by the New Orleans university during the 10-week course.

Other speakers include Dr. Deborah Birx, New York Times columnist Bret Stephens and Fox News political analyst Juan Williams.

Comment: We can be pretty convinced that Hunter inherited his ability to glibly lie from his father, and just like his father, has no qualms about it. The man who was caught with a laptop full of materials about illegal activities of himself and his family now speaks about "fake news?"

He has avoided prosecution because PTB selected his father to be 'President', via the biggest election fraud in the history of the US. What an irony.

CDC, Fauci flip-flop: Now support the masking policies Scott Atlas was ousted for promoting

President Donald J. Trump listens as White House medical advisor Dr. Scott Atlas delivers his remarks during a press conference Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room of the White House.
Dr. Anthony Fauci told CNN last weekend that the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to release new guidance suggesting relaxed outdoor mask policies.

"The risk when you're outdoors - which we have been saying all along - is extremely low," Fauci, who is notorious for flip-flopping on COVID-19 guidance, said. "And if you are vaccinated, it's even lower. So you're going to be hearing about those kinds of recommendations soon."

Comment: Atlas had the doublestrike of not only being in conflict with Fauci and the CDC's ulterior goals, but had the support of Trump, who understood Atlas' views to be correct. He was doomed from the start.

CNN's new "reporter," Natasha Bertrand: Deranged conspiracy theorist and scandal-plagued CIA propagandist

CNN's new national security reporter Natasha Bertrand, then of Politico and NBC News, with MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, Sept. 19, 2019
In the U.S. corporate media, the surest way to advance is to loyally spread lies and deceit from the U.S. security state. Bertrand is just the latest example.

The most important axiom for understanding how the U.S. corporate media functions is that there is never accountability for those who serve as propagandists for the U.S. security state. The opposite is true: the more aggressively and recklessly you spread CIA narratives or pro-war manipulation, the more rewarded you will be in that world.

The classic case is Jeffrey Goldberg, who wrote one of the most deceitful and destructive articles of his generation: a lengthy New Yorker article in May, 2002 — right as the propagandistic groundwork for the invasion of Iraq was being laid — that claimed Saddam Hussein had formed an alliance with Al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden. In February, 2003, on the eve of the invasion of Iraq, NPR host Robert Siegel devoted a long segment to this claim. When he asked Goldberg about "a man named Abu Musab al-Zarqawi," Goldberg replied: "He is one of several men who might personify a link between Iraq and al-Qaeda."

Judicial Watch: Documents show CA state officials coordinated with Big Tech to censor Americans' election posts

judicial watch
Judicial Watch announced today that it received 540 pages and a supplemental four pages of documents from the office of the Secretary of State of California revealing how state officials pressured social media companies (Twitter, Facebook, Google (YouTube)) to censor posts about the 2020 election. Included in these documents were "misinformation briefings" emails that were compiled by communications firm SKDK, that lists Biden for President as their top client of 2020. The documents show how the state agency successfully pressured YouTube to censor a Judicial Watch video concerning the vote by mail and a Judicial Watch lawsuit settlement about California voter roll clean up.

The records were obtained in response to Judicial Watch's California Public Records Act (CPRA) requests to the Office of the California Secretary of State for records related to the Office of Election Cybersecurity's database of social media posts; communications with social media companies; and other social media related records regarding the 2020 elections. Judicial Watch filed the requests after a December 2020 report surfaced that the state agency was surveilling, tracking, and seeking to censor the speech of Americans:
The Office of Election Cybersecurity in the California Secretary of State's office monitored and tracked social media posts, decided if they were misinformation, stored the posts in an internal database coded by threat level, and on 31 different occasions requested posts be removed. In 24 cases, the social media companies agreed and either took down the posts or flagged them as misinformation, according to Jenna Dresner, senior public information officer for the Office of Election Cybersecurity.

"We don't take down posts, that is not our role to play," Dresner said. "We alert potential sources of misinformation to the social media companies and we let them make that call based on community standards they created."

'Patronising nonsense': House of Lords orders peers to attend woke 'values' training, issues gag order after 60 miss course

The UK Parliament has issued gag orders to a number of senior peers in the House of Lords, after an investigation found 60 honourable members had failed to participate in mandatory 'values' workshops.

The virtual course, titled 'Valuing Everyone', was instituted by Parliament as part of a conduct makeover last year and deals with anti-bullying, discrimination and sexual harassment. Members were given until April 1 to complete the training or risk being found in breach of the Lords' code of conduct.

More than 700 peers have attended the training, but nearly a tenth of the peerage - many of whom said they were unaware they needed to comply - failed to meet the deadline. Consequently, Lucy Scott-Moncrieff, the Lords' standards commissioner, launched 60 investigations into the matter.

Feds raid Rudy Giuliani's NYC apartment, seize phones and other electronics

Federal prosecutors allegedly carried out a search warrant for former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's Upper East Side apartment Wednesday morning.

The authorities conducted the search in relation to an alleged investigation involving Giuliani's potential unregistered lobbying for foreign governments, according to a report published by The New York Times, and seized a number of Giuliani's personnel phones and other electronics.

Giuliani served as former President Donald Trump's personal attorney for years, an action he and a number of associates took in 2019 provided the initial push behind Trump's first impeachment trial.

Giuliani also ran the Trump campaign's legal efforts to decertify the results of the 2020 general election, during which he reportedly had discussed with Trump receiving a preemptive pardon as payment for his services after the election.

Europe will reach herd immunity by August - BioNTech chief

His company's Covid-19 vaccine makes up a large share of the doses administered in Europe and North America. A patient receives an injection of the Pfizer/BioNTech coronavirus vaccine
Europe can achieve herd immunity against coronavirus within the next four months, according to the head of German pharmaceutical company BioNTech.

The company developed the first widely approved Covid-19 vaccine with US partner Pfizer.

While the exact threshold required to reach that critical level of immunisation remains a matter of debate, experts say a level above 70% would significantly disrupt transmission of coronavirus within a population.

Comment: A Russian expert in genomics predicted they would achieve herd immunity by summer, and, if the latest data is anything to go by, this is coming to pass. Importantly, achieving herd immunity won't be due to vaccines, because less than 4% of Russia's population have received the Sputnik V vaccine; nor is it because of lockdowns, because Russia didn't enforce harsh and repeated restrictions like much of Europe. Moreover, experts in Sweden think they achieved herd immunity in September 2020: Compelling Evidence That SARS-CoV-2 Was Man-Made

Ex-Clinton strategist says 'WOKENESS IS A PROBLEM' for Democrats, who are too afraid to criticize because they'll be 'canceled'

Earning himself a label of "outdated" policy-maker, longtime Democrat strategist James Carville has voiced an unpopular opinion, warning an infatuation with "wokeness" and cancel culture will cause serious problems for the party.

Carville not only believes Democrats could be losing elections in 2022, 2024, and beyond, he also revealed to Vox in an interview that the only reason the Democratic Party walked away with the presidency in 2020 is because they were up against a "world-historical buffoon."

Carville, likely best known for his work on Bill Clinton's presidential campaign, targeted Democrats' increasingly woke language as something that is pushing the party away from "ordinary people."

"You ever get the sense that people in faculty lounges in fancy colleges use a different language than ordinary people?" he said. "They come up with a word like 'LatinX' that no one else uses. Or they use a phrase like 'communities of color.' I don't know anyone who speaks like that. I don't know anyone who lives in a 'community of color.' I know lots of White and Black and Brown people and they all live in ... neighborhoods."

He also targeted the Defund the Police movement, of which he says "almost f**king no one wants to do that."

While Carville's language hits a more critical note than that of many prominent Democrats, he claims more peers have the same concerns as him, but are too afraid to voice their opinions, fearing they could face blowback, with professional and personal consequences.

Comment: Everyone gets cancelled, eventually. There's no Woke passover, as progressive business and homeowners have learned over the past year's BLM and antifa riots. Wokeness is a totalitarian takeover ideology, and in the years it will take to stabilize its control (assuming it does so), no one is off limits.

Six Russian citizens 'attempted to assassinate weapons dealer & exploded four of his Bulgarian depots', Sofia says

A picture taken on December 30, 2017, shows a view of Bulgarian Parliament building in Sofia.
The Bulgarian prosecutor's office has announced that it suspects six Russians were responsible for four explosions at military depots used by arms dealer Emilian Gebrev, with the same people accused of trying to kill him.

Speaking on Wednesday, a spokeswoman for the country's chief prosecutor, Siika Mileva, revealed that there have been a number of explosions in Bulgarian warehouses over the last decade. Furthermore, she noted that some of the storage facilities were housing weapons supposedly intended for Georgia and Ukraine.

Comment: There have been a number of explosions at Russian facilities, was Russia responsible for those too? Isn't it possible that other actors may have had more to gain? Another massive explosion at an arms depot in Russia

"There are certain similarities in four explosions at ammunition factories," Mileva said, according to TASS. "Based on the data of the investigation, a reasonable assumption can be made that there is a connection between the explosions in Bulgaria, the attempted poisoning of three Bulgarian citizens, and explosions in other countries."

The effort to ban menthol cigarettes has been pushed by the Congressional Black Caucus
President Biden's administration is expected to announce this week a ban on the sale of menthol cigarettes in a move that will leave many Americans without their preferred flavor.

The new policy would disproportionately impact black smokers. Menthol cigarettes are used by more than three-fourths of African-Americans who smoke. About a quarter of white smokers prefer menthol rather than unflavored cigarettes.

Anonymous Biden administration officials confirmed the timing of the announcement to the Washington Post.
