Facebook contradicts its Senate testimony in court, claims to be a 'platform and not a media publisher'

Mark Zuckerberg Facebook
Despite long claiming to be a platform and not a media publisher - including in front of the Senate - Facebook is now claiming to be a media publisher in a lawsuit filed against the social media giant by an app company, which described the claim as "a complete 180."

Facebook has publicly denied being a media publisher every time there is an issue with content on its site. The company has long claimed to simply be a platform for their users to utilize and as a result, the social media firm cannot be held accountable for the content posted there. But in a recent lawsuit, the company has claimed the exact opposite.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has denied that Facebook is a publisher publicly before the Senate. From Breitbart's article at the time:

Brazilian congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro, and White House senior advisor Jared Kushner, son-in-law of President Donald Trump, meet at the White House on Nov. 27, 2018.
The son of Brazil's president-elect has confirmed to the U.S. president's Jewish son-in-law that his country's embassy will move to Jerusalem.

"The question should not be whether we will do it, but when we will do it," Brazilian congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro told Jared Kushner during a meeting in Washington on Tuesday.

Jair Bolsonaro's 34-year-old son was re-elected in October to a second term and became the Brazilian federal lawmaker to garner the most votes in history with over 1.8 million votes.

President Donald Trump is angry.

He doesn't like that General Motors is closing five plants across North America and laying off 14,700 workers. He doesn't like that economists are predicting an imminent recession.

And he hates the Federal Reserve Bank. In fact, most of these economic problems, says Trump, stem from the Fed. He is "not even a little bit happy" with his choice for Federal Reserve Chair, Jerome Powell.

"I'm doing deals, and I'm not being accommodated by the Fed," Trump said in an interview with The Washington Post Tuesday. "They're making a mistake because I have a gut, and my gut tells me more sometimes than anybody else's brain can ever tell me."

Comment: The behavior of the Federal Reserve point to their agenda for countering everything Trump is trying to accomplish. It's no wonder he's not happy with them.

The Clinton's kicked off their speaking tour with Hillary suffering from an uncontrollable coughing fit.

While addressing a half-empty crowd at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, on Tuesday night, the former secretary of state devolved into hacking.

During the first stop of "An Evening With The Clintons," Hillary was asked a question about Russian President Vladimir Putin allegedly interfering in the 2016 presidential election.

Before she could begin her usual spiel about how Russia cost her the election, Clinton was completely overtaken by an uncontrollable cough.

Arkansas swamp bleeds as Clintons circle the drain

swamp
Many have read sprinkles of press releases from the justice department regarding arrests and indictments coming out of Arkansas, but few have observed the magnitude of this swamp creature and all its tentacles. They rarely tie the individuals into the big picture in these press releases, so oftentimes, it's a quick, "yay, another swamp creature down," without realizing they all connect. Aside from local news outlets in Arkansas, that require paid subscriptions to read the news, the Arkansas swamp is getting little to no coverage.

Remember the plane full of documents in Little Rock? Everyone was speculating as to who/what it could be about, and hoping it had to do with the Clinton Foundation investigations. Is it possibly connected to this ongoing investigation into legislator fraud? In August 2018, Deputy Attorney General Lloyd Warford, said that investigators have at least 4 million documents in a vault and another 200 gigabytes of information they have collected from the Department of Human Services. Warford also confirmed that more lawmakers are under investigation by the state, in cooperation with the federal investigation. They have already convicted over a dozen individuals in one case alone, several of which are former or current legislators, one former senator has already begun his 18-year prison sentence, and there are a slew of other individuals listed in indictments. It is quite an extensive list below.

Britain butts in: Military officials angry over dispatch of "survey ship" to Black Sea; say should have sent destroyer

The national security monitor and publication Strategic Sentinel confirms that Britain is to dispatch the HMS Echo, a UK Royal Navy survey vessel and monitoring ship to the Black Sea following the Russia-Ukraine incident near the Kerch Strait.

But crucially there are already calls from top British commanders to send a much more powerful and capable Type 45 destroyer, or guided missile warship, into the Black Sea amid escalating tensions and after the UK condemned Russia for seizing Ukrainian ships and their crew off the coast of Crimea, which the Russian Navy said were "maneuvering dangerously".

Comment: The Brits have been poking their nose into Ukraine ever since the 2014 western-backed neo-nazi coup.

Georgian presidential candidate Salome Zurabishvili has won the country's runoff by securing more than 57 percent of the votes, according to official preliminary data released after 30 percent of the votes were counted.

The first official data to be released showed that the former foreign minister and ambassador to France had secured 57.37 percent of the votes, with her opponent Grigol Vashadze landing 42.6 percent.

Earlier, an exit poll conducted by Gallup International for Imedi television showed Zurabishvili with 58 percent of the ballots. The 66-year-old is supported by the ruling Georgian Dream party.

A separate exit poll by Edison Research for Rustavi-2 television put Zurabishvili at gaining 55 percent of the votes, with opposition candidate Vashadze taking home 45 percent.

New Zealand's intel agency rejects Huawei's first 5G bid citing national security risk

New Zealand's intelligence agency has rejected the telecom industry's first request in the country to use 5G equipment provided by China's Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, citing concerns about national security.

Telecommunications services provider Spark New Zealand Ltd (SPK.NZ), which made the request, said on Wednesday it would review the reasoning before considering any further steps.

The decision comes as Western nations become increasingly wary of what they say is possible Chinese government involvement in fifth-generation mobile and other communications networks. Huawei has repeatedly insisted Beijing has no influence over it.

Earlier this year, neighbouring Australia banned Huawei from supplying 5G equipment, also citing security risks. Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported the U.S. government was trying to persuade companies in allied countries to avoid Huawei.

Watch out for lemons! Japan plans to buy 100 more problem-plagued F-35 fighter jets

A real-size mock of F-35 fighter jet
Japan is set to purchase 100 more F-35 stealth fighter jets from the US, despite the aircraft's huge price tag and history of performance issues. The news comes after US President Trump urged Tokyo to buy more military equipment.

Japan previously inked a deal for 42 jets, but has now reportedly signaled that it will buy an additional 100 F-35s for an estimated $8.8 billion. The massive order comes just weeks after the US president called on Tokyo to buy "massive" amounts of military equipment from American companies.

According to Trump, investing in US weapons would create"a lot of jobs for us, and a lot of safety for Japan."

Japan hopes that the new planes will replace its aging fleet of F-15s but the aircraft's spotty track record and long history of performance issues makes it a high-tech gamble.

Truth is dangerous! Former Homeland Security official laments RT's truth-telling

Cover your ears and avert your eyes, Americans: RT is attempting to weaken the United States using a whole host of nefarious methods - such as telling the truth, a former Homeland Security official has warned.

Sounding the alarm during a panel discussion at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, Suzanne Spaulding, former deputy secretary for cyber and infrastructure protection at DHS in the Obama administration, said that one of RT's methods when it comes to its influencing vulnerable Americans is... telling the truth.

As an example of this worrisome and effective truth-telling, Spaulding cited one of RT's weekly shows, America's Lawyer, hosted by prominent US trial lawyer Mike Papantonio. The theme of this show, Spaulding revealed to the audience is that the US justice system is "corrupt and broken" and has been "taken over by politicians and the elite for their own corrupt ends."
They feature every week, stories from our courts all across the country to demonstrate the truth of this statement. I don't think there's anything in there that is a lie.
A truthful news show dedicated to exposing the corruption of the American justice system? Terrifying!
