The Tower of Basel: Secretive Plans for the Issuing of a Global Currency

In an April 7 article in The London Telegraph titled "The G20 Moves the World a Step Closer to a Global Currency," Ambrose Evans-Pritchard wrote:
"A single clause in Point 19 of the communiqué issued by the G20 leaders amounts to revolution in the global financial order.

"We have agreed to support a general SDR allocation which will inject $250bn (£170bn) into the world economy and increase global liquidity,' it said. SDRs are Special Drawing Rights, a synthetic paper currency issued by the International Monetary Fund that has lain dormant for half a century.

"In effect, the G20 leaders have activated the IMF's power to create money and begin global 'quantitative easing'. In doing so, they are putting a de facto world currency into play. It is outside the control of any sovereign body. Conspiracy theorists will love it."

Wanted for War Crimes: Alberto Gonzales
Spanish prosecutors will seek criminal charges against Alberto Gonzales and five high-ranking Bush administration officials for sanctioning torture at Guantánamo.

Spanish prosecutors have decided to press forward with a criminal investigation targeting former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and five top associates over their role in the torture of five Spanish citizens held at Guantánamo, several reliable sources close to the investigation have told The Daily Beast. Their decision is expected to be announced on Tuesday before the Spanish central criminal court, the Audencia Nacional, in Madrid. But the decision is likely to raise concerns with the human-rights community on other points: They will seek to have the case referred to a different judge.

Censored by the lobby: BBC panel finds broadcaster breached guidelines on Israel

In reporting about Israel, BBC's Middle East Editor has breached the corporation's guideline on accuracy and impartiality, an internal BBC complaints panel on Wednesday stated.

The Zionist Federation of Great Britain and Ireland said that the findings show that the BBC has an anti-Israel "bias" and that the position of the editor, Jeremy Bowen, is "untenable." The corporation rejected these claims.

Comment: To the informed reader who has heard Bowen's, or other BBC ,'reporting' from the middle east, especially during the recent slaughter in Gaza, the idea that there is bias against Israel is laughable. The BBCs coverage is so completely devoid of contextual or historical information on the Israeli occupation as to be useless.

Continued pressure from the Zionist Federation aims to see to it that it stays that way. The BBCs recent refusal to air a charity appeal on behalf of Palestinian victims of the attack on Gaza being a case in point. See: BBC refuses to broadcast charity appeal for Gaza aid

Afghan villagers say NATO strike killed six civilians

An overnight NATO-led air strike on a remote Afghan village killed six civilians, including children, Afghan officials said yesterday, but Western forces said they had targeted armed militants.

Civilian deaths caused by foreign troops hunting the Taliban have become a major cause of friction between the Afghan government and its Western backers, and sapped support for the presence of Western forces in the country. In some cases, US and Western troops have initially disputed reports of civilian casualties, only to later acknowledge them and apologise.

Oops, you weren't meant to see that! Oh well, too late now. Guess we'll have to call in MI5...
Gordon Brown is asking Pakistan for help after the arrest of 12 al-Qaeda terrorist suspects in Britain last night.

The results of Operation Pathway, the co-ordinated raids brought forward to yesterday after a security breach by Scotland Yard's counter-terrorism chief, have raised considerable alarm because 11 of those arrested were Pakistanis who have been staying in Britain on student visas. There are fears that they came to the country as genuine students before plotting to mount a terrorist attack, or even that they arrived under that guise with the intention of forming a terrorist sleeper cell.

The last week in March started with the coordinated call from Russia and China for a new non-national reserve currency, an idea that was greeted as one would expect with some derision until US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner said he supported such an idea. We can only speculate that he forgot his role in this Act 2 of the international stage tragedy "Global Financial Crisis" and used his lines from Act 4 which has of course yet to come. In this Act the role of the US is to resist such calls.

The week ended with the G20 summit and more importantly with the G20 final communique which promises a dark future; for wrapped in the cloth of "free trade", a trillion dollars for the IMF and "trade finance" and the regulation of banker's pay is the formation of a global overseer, the Financial Stability Board and the announcement that "the era of banking secrecy (which means privacy) is over."

There is a great deal in the G20 final communique and what with the general goings on this coming week with the NATO summit following the G20 and US President Obama's visit to Ankara that we will be providing an analysis of the G20 summit and its context during the course of next week.

This week we take a closer look at who really benefited from the AIG bailout and the true size of the US governments financial commitments to the "Global Financial Crisis". With apologies to Winston Churchill and the fighter pilots of the Battle of Britain:-

'7/7 Ripple Effect' producer Hill loses extradition hearing: faces deportation to UK

Would the world be a safer place if people who mail public information are behind bars?

Today at the four courts in Dublin, 11am - court 11, the Judge ruled on whether or not to extradite John Anthony Hill to the UK. John mailed a publicly available DVD, with no letter attached, to a court in the UK during a trial of three men. The DVD had nothing to do with those three men; it contained information from the BBC, ITV, the New York Times and other such established main stream news entities about four different men. During John's trial in Ireland, March 19th, the judge said in his closing statement that he would watch the DVD before making a decision. Today we found out that the judge failed to uphold that promise/commitment made in court when he told the court he had not looked at that evidence. The Judge ruled against John, 60 years old, who was then put into handcuffs and lead away by the police to a prison. The Judge said a number of people from all over the world mailed him envelopes with DVDs; he also said he did not open the envelopes.
