Profiting from a mysterious alliance between the Holy Ghost and an African chambermaid in New York, he got rid of the unstoppable challenger to his re-election, former International Monetary Fund director general and international sex fiend, Dominique Strauss-Khan.

And still, this Sunday, French voters - in a Facebook-style remix of the fall of the Bastille - are bound to yell "Off with his head".

Why? Hubris. French President Nicolas Sarkozy, aka neo-Napoleonic King Sarko, former king of bling bling, "Chouchou" to [Italian] First Lady Carla Bruni, may be his own worst enemy. [1]

A Ritzy lifestyle

Bashir Saleh is Gaddafi's former chief of staff and former president of the Libyan sovereign wealth fund. He was the go-to guy when the regime decided to finance Sarkozy's 2007 presidential campaign.

King Sarko, predictably, denied everything and said he would sue the French website, Mediapart, that revealed what many already knew. Yet this Thursday, former Libyan prime minister Baghdadi Ali al-Mahmoudi confirmed it all over again. And that's exactly what Gaddafi's son and former darling of the London School of Economics, Saif al-Islam, had said in March 2011: "Sarkozy must give back the money he accepted from Libya to finance his presidential campaign."

The self-proclaimed mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and four other accused terrorists were ordered to stand trial at a hearing before a Guantánamo military tribunal that descended into chaos on Saturday as the defendants refused to acknowledge the judge and their lawyers repeatedly challenged the legitimacy of the court.

The accused men, one of whom was brought to the arraignment hearing strapped to a restraining chair after refusing to attend, dropped their previous insistence on pleading guilty and demanding to be executed in favour of largely sitting in silence as defence lawyers attempted to raise the issue of torture and question the independence of the judge.

None of the defendants chose to enter a plea at the hearing and reserved it for a later appearance. The judge set a tentative trial date of May 2013 although he acknowledged that there are likely to be more delays. After a 13-hour session to arraign the suspects, proceedings have been adjourned until 12 June.

Mohammed's lawyer, David Nevin, told the court that "the world is watching" the trial after the US government admitted to waterboarding the accused terrorist 183 times. Another defence lawyer, James Connell, called the military tribunal a "blight on America's international reputation and her commitment to the rule of law".

A Norwegian professor dubbed "the father of peace studies" has attempted to link Utoya murderer Anders Breivik's massacre with Israeli intelligence.

Johan Galtung reportedly made antisemitic and anti-Israel remarks during his lecture at Oslo University, recommending that his students read The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

Professor Galtung, founder of the Peace Research Institute, suggested that because Breivik had alleged ties to Freemasons, he was in some way connected to Israel, Jews and Zionism.

He also mentioned the theory that the bomb attack in Oslo and gun massacre on Utoya Island, perpetrated by Breivik, were committed on July 22 - the same day as the attack on the King David Hotel in 1946. "Random? hardly," Professor Galtung observed.

Comment: Yes, do read The Protocols, but not because it exposes any Jewish conspiracy. Read it because it exposes the psychopaths' conspiracy that was deliberately attributed to the Jews in order to hide its tracks.

Female agent files claim with Defense Ministry seeking disabled veteran status after failed mission that she says caused her complete mental breakdown.

Over a decade ago a Mossad mission in a foreign country failed, taking a high personal toll on one woman. According to a claim filed with the Defense Ministry by a former Mossad agent, the failure was the cause of her complete mental breakdown, one which she has yet to recover from.

The agent demanded to be recognized as a defense establishment disabled veteran. According to the claim, the agent, 44, a resident of central Israel, took part in the organization's operations abroad. Concerns over the possibility that her cell was exposed led to her breakdown.

In her claim she presented evidence indicating that her activities were, in fact exposed and the agent was forced to flee for her life back to Israel with her team.

After the failed op the agent did not return to the Mossad ranks and yet she has not been able to overcome the trauma. The woman had panic attacks for a long time and even thought she was being followed and that people wanted to hurt her. Even years after the event, things only got worse.

Experts say acknowledging the threat would call into question the safety of dozens of identically designed nuclear power plants in the U.S.

More than a year after the triple meltdown at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant, the Japanese government, Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) present similar assurances of the site's current state: challenges remain but everything is under control. The worst is over.

But nuclear waste experts say the Japanese are literally playing with fire in the way nuclear spent fuel continues to be stored onsite, especially in reactor 4, which contains the most irradiated fuel -- 10 times the deadly cesium-137 released during the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear accident. These experts also charge that the NRC is letting this threat fester because acknowledging it would call into question safety at dozens of identically designed nuclear power plants around the U.S., which contain exceedingly higher volumes of spent fuel in similar elevated pools outside of reinforced containment.

It was reported today that a U.S. firm named EnergySolutions, which has been involved in the decommissioning of 10 nuclear power plants now aims to garnering multiple contracts for aiding other companies in dismantling Fukushima. This is supposed to also include the spent fuel rods housed there. However we have a slight problem with this you will see as reported today in The Denki Shimbun (The Electric Daily News), from Japan.

"In connection with the decommissioning of Fukushima I units 1 - 4, EnergySolutions aims to handle the planning of the entire decommissioning process, including cost calculation, and win orders for multiple projects, including the treatment and volume reduction of radioactive waste and the extraction and storage of spent fuel and fuel debris (damaged fuel).

Concerning the extraction of fuel debris, which is considered the most challenging process, "There is no technology which may be directly applied," said Morant. He added, however, that knowledge concerning the extraction of damaged fuel, which was obtained through the use of research reactors, and remote underwater cutting technology, as used for the Zion nuclear power station in the United States, may be applied to some extent."

The founder of Russian communism Vladamir Lenin died after being poisoned by his political successor Joseph Stalin, according to a sensational new theory.

Russian historian Lev Lurie, believes that while Lenin was already in poor health having suffered several strokes, Stalin may have finished him off after a bitter feud.

Lenin, who had initially supported Stalin's rise to power, later began aligning himself with Leon Trotsky.

In notes dictated before his death, Lenin criticises Stalin's rude manners and ambitious nature.

He even suggested that Stalin should be removed from his position of General Secretary of the Communist Party.

Poisoning would later become Stalin's preferred method for dealing with his enemies, Lurie points out.

He added: 'The funny thing is that the brain of Lenin still is preserved in Moscow, so we can investigate.'

For most people in Western nations today, terrorism has become synonymous with large scale spectacular acts of violence by small groups against a civilian population and, within the last 15 years, primarily in the name of one religion in particular - Islam. Historically speaking (and I mean up until the present day) there is no justification for this perception, and it can only have come about through a massive and prolonged public propaganda offensive on the part of those with a vested interest in creating and perpetuating it.

The historical record shows quite clearly that states, or those acting on behalf of the state, have been responsible for the vast majority of large-scale terrorist acts against civilians.

The girl was born in 2004. Her father is Drąsius Kedys, and mother - Laima Stankūnaitė. The parents lived together for several years but later got divorced. According to the decision of the court, the custody of the girl was granted to the mother; however, she did not take proper care of her child. Having learned about this, the father decided to bring the child back. The court approved the decision, the mother refused the custody of the girl and the custody was granted to the father. The girl returned to live in the house of her father and saw her mother only rarely. However, she started telling that while living at her mother's she had been raped by some men, and that her mother Laima Stankūnaitė used to take her to some rented flat, where she had to satisfy sexual needs of three grownup men, had been molested, and sexually abused.

As soon as Drąsius Kedys learned about this, he immediately referred to the police asking to initiate a preliminary investigation.

The investigation was soon initiated; however, when it turned out what men were being accused of the paedophilia, the investigation was discontinued abruptly and illegally.

Comment: This sordid tale has gripped Lithuania. It should be pointed out that the media there is working overtime to paint the abused child's mother as a normal and pitiful human being. The state meanwhile, rather than investigating the cancer Drasius Kedys exposed at the heart of Lithuanian society, is waging a war of attrition to return the girl to her pimp (her own mother). This is unsurprising, of course, because her abusers include top state officials.
