Another double-standard for Pelosi: 'Horrible' that accuser Paula Jones was able to sue Bill Clinton

In the eyes of Nancy Pelosi, sexual harassment accusers are equal. Some are just more equal than others - and equality apparently depends on the political party of the accused.

The House Minority Leader, and highest ranking woman in the U.S. government, told reporters she thought it was "horrible" that Paula Jones was able to sue President Bill Clinton for sexual harassment in the 1990s.

Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Pelosi recalled hearing the news that Jones would have her day in court. Pelosi said she was traveling with Bill and Hillary Clinton through Europe and stopped in London to meet with Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Comment: Good ol' 'Double Standard' Pelosi, at it again! It's "horrible" that an accuser was able to bring a case against Bill Clinton, but yet she's "proud" of Trump's accusers.

Turkey slams 'weak' response of some Arab countries to Trump's Jerusalem move

Demonstrators set U.S. and Israeli flags on fire during a protest against U.S. President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, in Istanbul, Turkey December 10, 2017.
Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has criticized the Muslim countries which failed to show a strong response to Washington's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, accusing them of being afraid of the US.

"There was a lot of strong reaction, reaction from the highest level. Some countries, however, have shown a very weak response. It seems that some countries are very timid, since the decision came from that country [the US]," the Minister told NTV broadcaster on Tuesday, adding that such countries were afraid of challenging the US and its "superpower mentality."

The remarks came ahead of an extraordinary Summit and Ministerial meetings of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the Jerusalem issue, scheduled to take place in Istanbul on Wednesday. Several countries, namely Egypt and the United Arab Emirates will send only foreign ministers to the meeting, according to Cavusoglu, while Saudi Arabia and some others still have not decided how they would participate

'F TRUMP': Infamous Strzok texts emerge calling Trump 'loathsome human,' 'an idiot'

strzok mueller
Text messages between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page in 2016 that were obtained by Fox News on Tuesday refer to then-candidate Donald Trump as a "loathsome human" and "an idiot."

More than 10,000 texts between Strzok and Page were being reviewed by the Justice Department after Strzok was removed from Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia probe after it was revealed that some of them contained anti-Trump content.

The messages were sent during the 2016 campaign and contain discussions about various candidates. On March 2, Strzok texted Page that someone "asked me who I'd vote for, guessed [Ohio Gov. John] Kasich."

Comment: So the infamous 'anti-Trump texts' have come out, and they're as bad as had been claimed. For Mueller's team, who are supposed to be objectively looking at 'evidence', what these texts reveal is that there was clearly no objectivity going on - Strzok is clearly pro-Hillary and rabidly anti-Trump. What's more, he was actively helping Clinton during her investigation. See also:

Russia rebukes US, Japan and South Korea for sowing "regional instability" as military drills begin

The latest round of military drills involving the US, Japan and South Korea began their latest set of tracking drills on Monday, DW reported, citing sources in the South Korean military.

The drills - which are meant for "practicing tracking an object and sharing information on it among the three countries" - were being held in waters off the coast of Japan, according to Japan's Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera.

The US and its regional allies are stepping up their military drills in response to North Korea's decision to test-launch the Hwasong-15, a new ICBM that US intelligence believes has the capacity to strike Washington, DC, as well as nearly any other part of the US - though the degree of accuracy remains questionable.

In response to drills held last week, North Korea warned that it is "ready for nuclear war" with the US. Though its threats have long rung hollow, US, South Korean and Japanese intelligence officials say that the North might soon attain the ability to load a nuclear warhead on its newest ICBM, which would enable it to launch a nuclear strike - or possibly an equally devastating EMP attack.

Comment: There is much in the way of hysterics regarding this issue. Missile tests, military drills and strong words fly from one end to the other, but the fact remains that North Korea is unlikely to have yet the capability of striking US mainland with a nuclear weapon (the recent Hwasong-15 launched was not carrying the weight of an actual nuclear warhead, which must be miniaturized for insertion, and there is no evidence this has been achieved yet). More important, even if it could, it would not want to as it would assure its own destruction. The purpose is obviously deterrence, not nuclear war.

We wonder if all this circus is not set up exclusively for the purpose of further surrounding China, the 'real enemy' along with Russia, by militarizing one of its doorsteps.

Trey Gowdy rejects call to investigate Trump's alleged sexual misconduct, says its a job for the police

House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy said Tuesday he would not launch an investigation into sexual harassment and assault allegations against President Trump, saying it's the job of the police and prosecutors to investigate crimes.

He said the alleged crimes involve state law and should be referred to the Justice Department, but acknowledged the Justice Department doesn't have jurisdiction over violations of state law.

"Allegations brought for now or in the future that, while serious, do not allege violations of specific criminal statutes, should be referred to the Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction over allegations related to fitness for office and non-criminal matters," Mr. Gowdy said in his letter addressed to the Democratic Women's Working Group.

Roy Moore defeated by Democrat Doug Jones for Alabama Senate

© Brynn Anderson/AP
Doug Jones has become the first Democrat in 25 years to win a US Senate seat for Alabama, after a bitter campaign against Republican Roy Moore.

His unexpected victory deals a blow to President Donald Trump, who backed Mr Moore, and narrows the Republican majority in the Senate to 51-49.

Mr Moore has so far refused to concede, saying "it's not over".

Comment: Yes, it is over Mr. Moore. And we're all much happier for that fact.

He fought a controversial campaign, in which allegations surfaced of sexual misconduct with teenage girls.

Comment: It appears the smear campaign against Moore won out over voters (assuming no tampering; not necessarily a safe assumption, mind you). It probably didn't help that the press jumped on Moore in the 11th hour for "praising Putin," a total exaggeration of his statement. It's a real testament to how effective a media smear campaign can be, to turn a traditionally red state blue. See also:

Fusion GPS tried and failed to link Trump to Jeffrey Epstein

jeffery epstein
Opposition research firm Fusion GPS tried and failed to find evidence of a close relationship between then-candidate Donald Trump and billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, whose 'Lolita Express" private jet ferried powerful clients to his private island, "Little St. James."

Epstein (who reportedly has an egg shaped penis) pleaded guilty to one count of soliciting prostitution from a 14 year old girl in 2008 for which he served 13 months in jail - filed in 2006; including wiring his mansion with hidden cameras, secretly recording orgies involving high profile friends with underage girls for blackmail, and receiving sexual massages from high school girls up to three times a day according to his former house manager of 11 years.

'Trump is winning': Lamentations of a sore losing liberal

In the midst of much hand-wringing and anguished sighs, the Huffington Post has announced to its readers that after his first year in office "Trump Is Winning."

"This is one of the hardest things I've ever had to write and admit," begins Earl Ofari Hutchinson in his essay, "Trump is winning."

Hutchinson, an author and co-host of the Al Sharpton Show, observes that according to numerous indicators the Trump presidency is a success, beginning with his delivery of a long list of campaign promises.

Among Mr. Trump's many victories, Hutchinson enumerates Mick Mulvaney's appointment to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Neil Gorsuch's contribution to the Supreme Court, Scott Pruitt's work at the EPA, Trump's support of fossil fuels to make America energy independent, the RNC backing of judge Roy Moore in Alabama, the fizzling out of Russiagate, the passage of the tax reform bill, and the record-level stock market.

Comment: Trump may very well be 'winning' in a number of ways, but much is due to liberals going over the edge. In the end, much of what Trump initially stood for has been diminished by powers greater than he.

Russian military withdrawal shall prompt Assad to compromise

Russia has every right to withdraw most of its Aerospace Forces from Syria following Daesh's defeat, with one of the most immediate consequences of this move being that it will prompt President Assad into a "political compromise" with the "opposition".

President Putin's surprise visit to Syria saw the Russian leader announce the large-scale withdrawal of his country's Aerospace Forces from the Arab Republic, signifying that Moscow truly believes that Daesh is defeated and that its original mission in Syria has been accomplished. It needs to be reminded that Russia's 2015 anti-terrorist intervention was initiated by the need to destroy this international terrorist threat, although other more locally active terrorist organizations were also targeted for elimination in the course of events as well.

Contrary to some of the expectations and misleading inferences shared across a few Alt-Media platforms since that time, Russia did not get involved in Syria in order to "save Assad", but to protect the constitutional order of the state and prevent its Libyan-like fall to terrorists. To this end, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov even once remarked that "Assad is not our ally, by the way. Yes, we support him in the fight against terrorism and in preserving the Syrian state. But he is not an ally like Turkey is the ally of the United States", further driving home this point in an unforgettable way.

Comment: The future for Syria is coming down to specific and defining moments, decisions and actions. Putin has unfolded a masterpiece of strategy and execution, a lesson in leading from integrity and respect.
