The results of a new national poll reveal that a stunning 28 per cent of black Americans plan on voting for President Donald Trump.

The Atlas Intel poll finds that Biden leads Trump nationally by just three points.

But the real story lies in the percentage of Hispanic and black voters who told the pollsters that they will vote for Trump.

WHO special envoy heaps praise on Sweden's Covid strategy

Comment: Yes, SWEDEN's. So the WHO isn't behind the lockdown drive...

Dr. David Nabarro

Dr. David Nabarro
One of the World Health Organization's six special envoys on Covid-19 has highlighted Sweden's virus response as a model that other countries should be emulating in the long run.

Dr. David Nabarro, speaking in a radio interview with Magic Talk in New Zealand, said, "For all countries, the real approach we've got to aim for is through behavior that's adopted everywhere."

Nabarro said the key to a sustainable coronavirus strategy is trust, and pointed to Sweden as a case in point. The Nordic nation imposed far fewer restrictions on movement than others, and instead relied on Swedes to act responsibly and embrace the guidelines laid out by the country's health authorities.

President Donald Trump met with business owners affected by the riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Tuesday outside a building burned-out by violent rioters last week in reaction to the police shooting of Jacob Blake.

The president spoke with about six people next to a burned-out building that used to be B&L Office Furniture Inc. in Kenosha and told them he would help them rebuild their businesses.

"This store was here 109 years," Trump told reporters. "Just about the oldest in the nation."

Scott Carpenter, the co-owner of the office furniture store, thanked Trump for visiting.

"I just appreciate President Trump coming today; everybody here does," he said. "We're so thankful that we got the federal troops in to help because once they got here, things did calm down quite a bit."

The World Economic Forum clarion call: A breakdown of 'The Great Reset'

economic reset
Last month I posted an article that looked at the World Economic Forum as the institution behind 'The Great Reset' agenda that was launched in June. One of the main themes of the article was the WEF's 'Strategic Intelligence platform', which the organisation describe as 'a dynamic system of contextual intelligence that enables users to trace relationships and interdependencies between issues, supporting more informed decision-making'.

As I made reference to, Strategic Intelligence is the mechanism which brings all the interests that the WEF focus on together. This includes specific countries and industries, as well as global issues like Covid-19 and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

When you look into Strategic Intelligence, one aspect to it that quickly becomes apparent is how each global issue and industry intertwines with one another. For instance, Covid-19 is a strand of 'The Great Reset' and vice versa. What this does is create the impression that only a collectivised approach incorporating all 'stakeholders' has the capacity to deal with crises on a global scale. The WEF is built upon the belief that nations and corporations must be interdependent and seek to remedy the world's problems through the medium of global institutions.

Biden claims Trump 'lies' about Biden wanting to ban fracking

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden switched his position on the use of fossil fuels and fracking on Monday. During his visit to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Biden claimed, "I am not banning fracking."

"Let me say that again: I am not banning fracking. No matter how many times Donald Trump lies about me," he said.

Biden was referencing Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention last week.

"Biden has promised to abolish the production of American oil, coal, shale, and natural gas, laying waste to the economies of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico, destroying those states," Trump said.

The problem? Trump isn't the one who is lying about Biden's position on fracking. Biden has promised to ban fracking multiple times, citing fossil fuels as dangerous for the environment.

"We would work it out. We would make sure it's eliminated," Biden said about coal and fracking from the Democratic presidential debate stage just a few months ago.

Comment: It's not as simple as Davidson claims. Biden's official policy has never been to "ban fracking". But that didn't stop him from seeming to claim otherwise, e.g., in the debate with Sanders. He's a politician. He says what he thinks will get him votes and the support of whoever happens to be listening to him speak, even if what he is saying has nothing to do with his campaign's actual policies. In other words, he's shameless. And it leads propaganda outlets like WaPo to need to write headlines like this:
Joe Biden's 'not banning fracking' defense, explained

What happened when Biden says he misspoke about his fracking position

Biden was in a heated debate in March with Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) about this. Sanders and other liberal powerhouses want to ban all fracking, which is in line with what many climate change activists want.
Sanders: "I'm talking about stopping fracking as soon as we possibly can. I'm talking about telling the fossil fuel industry that they are going to stop destroying this planet — no ifs, buts and maybes about it."
Biden: "So am I."
Sanders: "Well, I'm not sure your proposal does that."
Biden: "No more — no new fracking."
Biden was wrong about his own proposal then. As The Washington Post's Salvador Rizzo fact-checked at the time: "The Biden campaign said that he misspoke and that his position was the same as ever: He would issue no new fracking permits for federal lands or waters, while allowing existing fracking operations to continue."

The campaign points to half a dozen other times in the past year when Biden has explicitly said he won't ban fracking. As far back as a town hall in September 2019, he declined to endorse a ban. "His position has never changed and certainly didn't change today," Biden spokesman Andrew Bates told The Fix on Monday.
Yes, he "misspoke". He surely wasn't just cynically saying what he thought voters wanted to hear.

The meeting comes as Macron vows to ensure accountability and reform following the Beirut port blast
French President Emmanuel Macron met the legendary Lebanese singer Fairuz on Monday on his second visit to Lebanon after the devastating explosion at the Beirut port last month.

Fairuz, born Nouhad Haddad, is one of the most celebrated singers in the Middle East, and has sung of love, of Lebanon, and of the Palestinian cause.

Many see the 85-year-old artist as a symbol of unity, amidst the disastrous aftermath of the 4 August port blast which claimed the lives of at least 190 people and left over 300,000 displaced.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden speaks about safety in America in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, August 31, 2020
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden has finally spoken up against the riots and looting occurring across the US, blaming President Donald Trump. A poorly worded tweet has seen Biden's critics accuse the ex-VP of blackmail.

"Rioting is not protesting," Biden said during a speech in Pennsylvania on Monday. "It's lawlessness, plain and simple... Violence will not bring change."

The Democratic nominee's remarks come shortly after a Trump supporter was gunned down in Portland, Oregon and almost a week after three rioters were shot - two fatally - in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Ice Age Farmer Report: When gardens are outlawed, only criminals will grow food

"Gardening is too dangerous!" Authorities are REMOVING plants grown from "unauthorized seeds!" The media is warning that homegrown food can be poisonous, and backyard chickens can be fatal. Soon, for your protection, growing food and raising animals will be illegal. Competition is sin to the transhumanists who are taking over our food supply, and they intend to eliminate it. Christian looks ahead -- but not too far -- at the agenda to criminalize homesteading.

'I am Taiwanese': Czech senate president channels JFK in show of support for island

Czech senate president Milos Vystrcil addresses the Legislative Yuan in Taipei.
The president of the Czech senate shrugged off China's angry response to his trip to Taiwan to offer his support to the island on Tuesday, telling the parliament in Taipei: "I am Taiwanese".

Milos Vystrcil alluded to John F Kennedy's celebrated "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech in Germany in 1963, saying: "Kennedy said freedom is indivisible, and when one man is enslaved, all are not free.

"Then he used the sentence 'I am a Berliner' to pledge support to the people of Berlin and the highest value of freedom," Vystrcil said in the first address to Taiwan's legislative yuan by a foreign politician in 45 years.

"Please allow me to pledge support to the people of Taiwan in the same way. I am Taiwanese."

Vystrcil spoke the last few words in Mandarin Chinese, for which he received a standing ovation.

On Monday, Beijing lashed out at the Czech delegation to Taiwan, which also included Prague mayor Zdenek Hrib, who dropped the capital's twin city arrangement with Beijing and replaced it with Taipei.

Comment: Prague-Reporyje Mayor Pavel Novotny penned a very undiplomatic response to Chinese FM Wang Yi's own undiplomatic threat. Rough translation follows:

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Monday pardoned 110 opposition politicians and activists. The announcement was made by Information Minister Jorge Rodríguez, reported dpa news.

The NGO Foro Penal put the total number of political prisoners in Venezuela at about 380. Those pardoned include people who are in prison, others who have gone into exile and some who had been barred from contesting elections.

Among them were lawmaker Freddy Guevara, staying on the Chilean embassy's premises. Likewise, the release of Roberto Marrero, an aide to opposition leader Juan Guaido. Marrero was arrested more than a year ago.

Rodriguez said the government seeks a "national reconciliation" and the opposition participation in its December 6 parliamentary elections. The main opposition parties have already dismissed the vote as another fraudulent "farce."
