Puppet Masters
Hours later, other administration officials were clarifying Brennan's account. Turns out the woman that was killed on the compound wasn't bin Laden's wife. Bin Laden may have not even been using a human shield. And he might not have even been holding a gun.
The narrative first unfolded in a televised briefing at the White House.
"Thinking about that from a visual perspective, here is bin Laden, who has been calling for these attacks, living in this million dollar-plus compound, living in an area that is far removed from the front, hiding behind women who were put in front of him as a shield," Brennan said. "I think it really just speaks to just how false his narrative has been over the years."

What happens this week is pitiful and laughably absurd.
Following the September 11, 2001 inside job, there has been speculation on the whereabouts of Osama bin Laden.
According to research with the reported resources, such as the news media (Fox News and CBS-TV News), What Really Happened and Veterans Today chief editor Gordon Duff, Osama has been dead for a long time.
I can only speculate that the episode is a psyop exercise to provide the soothing peace of mind for the American public subject to full-throttle media propaganda, while continuing, unabatedly, one of the greatest, deadliest, and most expensive hoaxes of all time -- "The War on Terror."

Suddenly the government is telling us the truth about bin Laden's death? If you believe that, I have a bridge in Brooklyn that I'll let you have for a good price.
How many Americans will notice that the first paragraph of the "report" justifies CIA prisons and torture? Without secret prisons and torture "the terror mastermind" would still be running free, despite having died from renal failure in 2001.
Over two days, the White House has offered contradictory versions of events, including misidentifying which of bin Laden's sons was killed and wrongly saying bin Laden's wife died in gunfire, as it tries to sort through what the president's press secretary called the "fog of combat" and produce an accurate account.
In latest twist to the events the White House Tuesday said Osama bin Laden was unarmed when Navy SEALs burst into his room and shot him to death, another change in the official account that raised questions about whether the U.S. ever planned to capture him alive.
The appeal comes as the Palestinians indicated that they will ask the United Nations in September to recognise an independent state based on 1967 borders, a move condemned by both Israel and the United States.
Nabil al-Arabi, Egypt's Foreign Minister, told visiting US congressman Steve Chabot that recognising the state "would correspond with previous statements by the American administration supporting peace based on two states".
Italy's belated decision to join the military campaign against Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has brought fresh political woes for Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, with opposition to the bombing threatening to sink his fragile coalition.
Senior figures in the Northern League want an end to Italian air strikes only a week after they began following a personal plea by US President Barack Obama to Mr Berlusconi. Parliament will vote on the Northern League motion to this effect later today.

Controversial: The Wikileaks site, founded by Julian Assange, has been attacked by countries for its publication of secret documents
For although the CIA has thought since September that he was in hiding in Abbottabad, special forces stormed his fortress only days after the website published new secret documents.
These made reference to named 'couriers' carrying Bin Laden's message to his followers, and also to Abbottabad as a possible Al Qaeda bolthole.
America has already revealed that it was led to Bin Laden by tracking a man identified as his key courier.
When that courier was found in Abbottabad, the CIA began surveillance that led to the raid.
As a result, last night it was suggested the operation had to be launched before Bin Laden knew the game was up.
"We provided a great deal of information with great haste in order to inform you ... about the operation," Carney said during a briefing, in a concession that administration officials have erred in their details of the raid on bin Laden's compound outside of Islamabad, Pakistan. "Obviously some of the information came in piece by piece and is being reviewed and updated and elaborated on."
Reading from a script carefully crafted by the Defense Department, Carney clarified that bin Laden was not armed with a gun when he was killed, contrary to some reports that he fired back at U.S. military operatives. In addition, White House counterinsurgency adviser John Brennan was wrong when he suggested Monday that one of bin Laden's wives was killed serving as a human shield for bin Laden during gunfire.
"In the room with bin Laden, a woman -- bin Laden's wife -- rushed the U.S. assaulter and was shot in the leg but not killed. Bin Laden was then shot and killed. He was not armed," Carney said. Separately, another woman on the first floor was killed in crossfire, which may have led to Brennan's misstatement.

President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, along with with members of the national security team, receive an update on the mission against Osama bin Laden in the Situation Room of the White House Photo
The head of the CIA admitted yesterday that there was no live video footage of the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound as further doubts emerged about the US version of events.
Leon Panetta, director of the CIA, revealed there was a 25 minute blackout during which the live feed from cameras mounted on the helmets of the US special forces was cut off.
A photograph released by the White House appeared to show the President and his aides in the situation room watching the action as it unfolded. In fact they had little knowledge of what was happening in the compound.
In an interview with PBS, Mr Panetta said: "Once those teams went into the compound I can tell you that there was a time period of almost 20 or 25 minutes where we really didn't know just exactly what was going on. And there were some very tense moments as we were waiting for information.
