Russia's denial of military drill story: was it all psy-ops?

Image
War games for media show?
So Russia appears to have denied reports which appeared in Fars News today, about a joint military exercise with China, Iran and Syria. Voice of Russia, the Russian government's international radio broadcasting service, reported today:
"Russia has denied reports in media that it allegedly planned joint military exercises with China and Iran on Syrian territory.

'This is absurd', Mr. Igor Dygalo, aide to Russia's Navy commander said.

Earlier this week the Dubai-based Al Arabiya TV channel reported that Russia, China and Iran were planning joint exercises, the largest in the Middle East, comprising some 90,000 ground, naval and air forces, as well as 400 aircrafts, 1,000 tanks and Russian submarines, destroyers and an aircraft carrier.

The report said that Egypt had allowed 12 Chinese navy ships to go through the Suez Canal to arrive in Syria.

This false report also claimed that Syria was going to test its anti-ship missiles and air defense system."
Syria has also denied the reports: "This information is out of synch with reality," said Buseina Shaaban, political advisor to the Syrian president".

But it's no coincidence that this denial comes on the heels of another denial about yet another report which first appeared last week in the non-governmental Russian news agency, Interfax. As reported by the Guardian:

Comment: Indeed, with the US backtracking on claims that Russia is arming Syria, it seems clear that psy-ops is in play here. It seems that the PTB are trying to foment a 'Cold War' stand-off with suggestions that Russia and China are preparing to 'meet the US Empire in battle', so to speak. But to date Russia and China have shown no real interest in confronting the US and the West, at least not on their terms of engagement. So what is really going on here?

Monsanto Buys Leading Bee Research Firm After Being Implicated in Bee Colony Collapse

Image
© foodfreedom.wordpress.com
Amid all the controversy over genetically-modified (GM) crops and their pesticides and herbicides decimating bee populations all around the world, biotechnology behemoth Monsanto has decided to buy out one of the major international firms devoted to studying and protecting bees. According to a company announcement, Beeologics handed over the reins to Monsanto back on September 28, 2011, which means the gene-manipulating giant will now be able to control the flow of information and products coming from Beeologics for colony collapse disorder (CCD).

Since 2007, Beeologics has been studying CCD, as well as Israeli Acute Paralysis Virus (IAPV), for the purpose of coming up with intervention-based ways to mitigate these conditions. And based on the way the company describes both CCD and IAPV on its website, Beeologics has largely taken the approach that intervention, rather than prevention, is the key to solving the global bee crisis.

Expert Panel Reports False Accounts of U.S. Political and Military Leaders on 9/11

Massive National War Games on September 11th Raise Further Questions

New evidence shows that the September 11th activities of former President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld were falsely reported by official sources.

The 20-member 9/11 Consensus Panel analyzed evidence from press reports, FOIA requests, and archived 9/11 Commission file documents to produce eight new studies, released today.

The international Panel also discovered that four massive aerial practice exercises traditionally held in October were in full operation on 9/11. The largest, Global Guardian, held annually by NORAD and the U.S. Strategic and Space Commands, had originally been scheduled for October 22-31 but was moved, along with Vigilant Guardian, to early September.

Although senior officials claimed no one could have predicted using hijacked planes as weapons, the military had been practicing similar exercises on 9/11 itself -- and for years before it.

The Panel, discovering widespread reports of confusion and delays in the defense response, looked into who was overseeing the air defenses after the second Tower was hit at 9:03 A.M.

Official sources claimed neither Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Joint Chiefs of Staff Acting Chairman General Richard Myers (filling in for General Hugh Shelton), nor war-room chief General Montague Winfield were available to take command until well after the Pentagon was struck about 9:37.

Yet emerging documents and memoirs show that top leaders were engaged earlier -- and later discussed a shootdown of the "let's roll" Flight 93 before debris was scattered widely around its alleged Shanksville, Pennsylvania crash site.

The Iranian, Russian, Chinese and Syrian armies are due to stage joint amphibious exercises along the Syrian costs in coming weeks, informed sources revealed on Monday.

According to informed sources, 90,000 forces from the four countries will take part in the land and sea wargames due to be held in Syria. Ground, air and sea forces as well as air defense and missile units of the four countries will take part in the exercises.

Sources also said that Egypt has acceded to grant passage to 12 Chinese warships to sail through the Suez Canal, adding that the military convoy is due to dock at the Syrian harbors in the next two weeks. Russian atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria at around the same date.

Syria plans to test its coast-to-sea and air defense missiles in the wargames. A sum of 400 warplanes and 1,000 tanks will also be used in the exercises. A Syrian official, who asked to remain anonymous, had informed two weeks ago that the drills would be conducted in Syria soon.

11 Quotes That Show How Worried The Financial World Is About Europe Right Now

Image

The recent elections in France and in Greece have thrown the global financial system into an uproar. Fear and worry are everywhere and nobody is quite sure what is going to happen next. All of the financial deals that Greece has made over the past few years may be null and void. Nobody is going to know for sure until a new government is formed, and at this point it looks like that is not going to happen and that there will need to be new elections in June. All of the financial deals that France has made over the past few years may be null and void as well.

New French President Francois Hollande seems determined to take France on a path away from austerity. But can France really afford to keep spending money that it does not have? France has already lost its AAA credit rating and French bond yields have started to move up toward dangerous territory. And Greek politicians are delusional if they think they have any other choice other than austerity. Without European bailout money (which they won't get if they don't honor their current agreements), nobody is going to want to lend Greece a dime.

And all of this talk about "austerity" is kind of silly anyway. It isn't as if either France or Greece was going to have a balanced budget any time soon. Both nations were still running up huge amounts of debt even under the "austerity" budgets.

Obama Administration Uses Propaganda Attacks to Ensure a Post-Assad Syria

Major General Robert Mood, for the UN Observer Mission in Syria, is facilitating the plot being created against the Syrian government by claiming that "the escalating violence is now limiting our ability to observe, to verify, to report as well as assist in local dialogue and stability projects. Violence, over the past 10 days, has been intensifying, again willingly by both parties, with losses on both sides and significant risks to our observers.

Mood says that the Syrian population is suffering, "and in some locations, civilians have been trapped by ongoing operations."

The six point peace plan "suggested" by the UN in conjunction with the Arab League is not being implemented, according to Mood . "Initially, there was a lull in violence, brought about willingly by the parties, and UNSMIS (the United Nations Supervision Mission in Syria) began to engage with the local population, establishing trust and building bridges between the local authorities and opposition groups."

The Free Syrian Army has been in communication with the UN, spreading propaganda to entice the international community's support for their cause. The FSA told the UN that Syrian government forces were sexually abusing and torturing Syrian men, women and children.

Best of the Web: ‎'Bailing Out Greece is like Feeding an Insatiable Beast'‎

European leaders have no intention of resolving Greece's economic woes and have made it heavily indebted, transforming the country into an "insatiable beast" facing a burgeoning debt crisis, says an analyst.

The comment comes as Greek leaders are striving hard to form a coalition government while some experts say the prospects of the cash-stripped country's future remains uncertain as it may be forced to exit the EU bloc in case of not accepting bailout terms.

Press TV has conducted an interview with Niall Bradley, the editor of the Signs of the Times Scott.net [sic] to discuss the situation.

The video also offers the opinions of two other guests: economist, Shabir Razvi and Press TV correspondent, Constantine Venizelos. The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Obama, Putin give off chilly body language in the heat of Mexico's coast

It's hard to tell if President Barack Obama got a sense of Russian President Vladimir Putin's soul. In front of reporters, they hardly looked at each other.

In their first meeting since 2009, Obama and Putin shared little eye contact and did not appear to express much personal warmth following a two-hour meeting on the sidelines of the G20 summit. Putin made brief remarks and then looked down at the table as Obama spoke to reporters, aided by a translator.

The gathering had a much different feel compared with President George W. Bush's first meeting with Putin in Slovenia in June 2001. Bush said then that he was "able to get a sense of his soul."

Yet aides said the media shouldn't draw any conclusions from the chilly body language. They said the meeting wouldn't have lasted as long as it did if the two leaders didn't get along.

Mike McFaul, the U.S. ambassador to Russia, said the chemistry between Obama and Putin was "very businesslike" and "cordial." McFaul added that there was nothing extraordinary about the exchange. "That's just the way he looks, that's just the way he acts," McFaul said of Putin.

UN weighs future of Syria mission after US-Russia call

The UN Security Council was to examine the future of its observer mission in violence-wracked Syria on Tuesday after a joint US-Russian call for an immediate end to the conflict.

The mission's leader Major General Robert Mood, whose 300 unarmed monitors suspended operations on Saturday because of escalating bloodshed, was to brief the Security Council.

With civilians trapped by regime shelling of rebel bastions such as the central city of Homs, Mood has urged the government and opposition to let "women, children, the elderly and the injured to leave conflict zones."

And UN rights chief Navi Pillay has demanded a halt to government bombardment of populated areas. "Such actions amount to crimes against humanity and possible war crimes," Pillay told the UN Human Rights Council.

US President Barack Obama and Russia's President Vladimir Putin on Monday called for an "immediate cessation of all violence."

It's the road by means of getting to Iran, finish conquering the Middle East and setting the stage for the West's next victims (Russia/China). It's simply The Logistics of the One World Government.
