Russian Su-25 attack aircraft take off from the Khmeimim airbase in Syria
More than half of Americans think that Russian President Vladimir Putin has outdone his US counterpart Barack Obama in Syria. They blame Obama for a lack of a clear strategy, a poll by Fox News has revealed.

Fifty-three percent of the respondents said that they consider Putin to have the upper hand in Syria, with only 22 percent suggesting that it's Obama who is in control.

Furthermore, 70 percent of Americans feel that the US administration doesn't have a clear strategy to handle the rise of jihadists in the country. The US has been bombing Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) targets in Syria for over a year, but failed to deliver any serious damage to the violent group.

Russia launched its air campaign in the country in late-September upon the request of President Bashar Assad, with Moscow claiming it has destroyed hundreds of terrorist facilities and caused panic among IS and other terrorists.

However, Washington blamed Moscow for targeting moderate rebels, who oppose Russian ally Assad, instead of IS, claiming the airstrikes are a sign of the Kremlin's weakness.

Yet the poll revealed that an increasing number of Americans are refusing to believe those claims, as 46 percent suggested that Russia's actions in Syria actually indicate that it is "strong and shrewd."

Kerry finally connects increased settlement building to increased Palestinian violence, Israel closes neighborhoods

Palestinian protesters hold flags and a banner during a demonstration against U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's visit, in the West Bank town of Bethlehem November 6, 2013
"Israel will settle its accounts with the murderers, with those who try murder and with those all those who assist them. Not only will we revoke rights from them; we will exact the full price," -Netanyahu

US Secretary of State John Kerry has linked the growing violence in Israel to "frustrations" amongst Palestinians, exasperated at the "massive increase in settlements" built by the Israeli government. "There's been a massive increase in settlements over the course of the last years," Kerry said during a visit to Harvard University, "and there's an increase in the violence because there's this frustration that's growing."

The US diplomat added that hopes of a two-state solution could be fading away and mentioned he will visit the region in the near future to try and calm the situation and move "away from this precipice." "I will go there soon, at some point appropriately, and try to work to reengage and see if we can't move that away from this precipice," the Secretary of State said.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has introduced a series of punitive measures against the Palestinians to try and quell the violence. During an emergency Security Council meeting which went on into the early hours of Wednesday morning, he announced that Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers would be sent to reinforce police units across the country.

Comment: Connecting illegal settlements with Palestinian reactions...what was Kerry's first clue (check out the signage from 2013) and what has he done to address this "exasperated frustration?" Is that the term for it? a frustration? Frustration is when you don't understand the math problem. Exasperated frustration is when your dog continues to get into the garbage. Frustration is not the qualifier for rampage, death and "the precipice!" Day of Rage saw unfortunate Israelis die from Palestinian attacks, but this followed two weeks whereby at least 29 Palestinians were killed by undercover Israeli security and IDF forces that infiltrated youth groups, brazenly fired upon, injured or killed young men throwing stones.

"Hopes of a two-state solution," the US' fantasy, were never in the cards from Israel's occupational point of view and they daily prove this rejection by their unrelenting agenda, complete with false flag provocations. See also:

A photo released by Yemen’s official Saba news agency on October 15, 2015 shows Yemenis inspecting the debris of a Saudi warplane in the Ghamar district in Sa'ada Province.
Yemeni army forces, backed by allied popular committees loyal to the Houthi Ansarullah movement, have shot down a Saudi warplane in the northern province of Sa'ada.

Yemen's official Saba news agency said that the Saudi fighter jet was shot down and subsequently crashed in the Ghamar district of the province on Thursday.

The Yemeni forces have launched an operation to spot debris from the aircraft and shed light on the fate of the crew.

The fighter jet had reportedly conducted a number of airstrikes against Yemeni forces in the region.

Saudi regime forces have yet not commented on the incident.

Yemeni forces have shot down several Saudi warplanes and drones over the past few months in various parts of the country.

Last Friday, Yemeni forces shot down a Saudi reconnaissance drone in Sa'ada Province. Yemeni forces targeted the remote-controlled unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as it was flying over al-Dhaher district in the arid and mountainous province, which lies 240 kilometers (150 miles) north of the capital, Sana'a.

Israel expresses outrage at U.S. concerns for 'Excessive use of force'

An Israeli border policeman checks a Palestinian man at a new roadblock in East Jerusalem October 15, 2015.
As Washington considers Israeli violence "excessive," the UN envoy to Palestine has said Palestinians must be protected.

U.S. State Department statements that Israel might be using "excessive force" to confront a wave of stabbing attacks has generated a storm of criticism by senior Israeli officials as tensions between Israeli forces and Palestinian protesters exploded in the last two weeks.

Defence Minister Moshe Yaalon accused Washington of "misreading" the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and he said shooting "knife-wielding Palestinians" was self-defense, while Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan called the U.S. remarks "foolish," Reuters reported.

Comment: An interesting change of tune, considering the U.S. has shielded Israel from the world's condemnation for nearly six decades. Is Washington finally fed up with the zio-crazies?

Putin on U.S. refusing to share intelligence about ISIS: They have mush for brains

President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday slammed Washington for refusing to share intelligence with Russia on Syria, accusing it of muddled thinking.

"I believe some of our partners simply have mush for brains," Putin said, expressing some of his strongest criticism yet of Washington's handling of the Syrian crisis.

Late last month Moscow launched a bombing campaign in Syria, saying it needed to target Islamic State jihadists before they cross into Russia, which has a large Muslim population.

But Washington and its allies slammed Russia's intervention in the conflict, saying Moscow was also targeting Western-backed moderate rebels and sought to prop up the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

MH17, Syria and Ukraine: The lies eventually catch up

mh17 final report
At best, the United States, its NATO allies and the regime they have collectively created in Kiev, Ukraine, will be able to claim Russia, or militants defending eastern Ukraine from Kiev's armed incursions, accidentally shot down Malaysia Airlines flight 17 (MH17) after air controllers in Kiev recklessly sent it on a course over a battlefield other airliners had made a point to circumvent.

At worst, the US and its junior partners across Europe and the remnants of the British Commonwealth, will be implicated either in shooting it down accidentally themselves, or worse still, shooting it down on purpose in order to frame Russia and anti-regime militants in eastern Ukraine.

Russia certainly had nothing to gain by shooting down a civilian aircraft over a battlefield anti-regime militants have been aptly able to hold and defend. But what of NATO and its Ukrainian allies? In a war they are losing, could they have benefited from creating a pretext for NATO to intervene more directly?

The gain they have already wrought in terms of propaganda against Russia has been impressive. From the moment the airliner was shot down, the US, NATO and Ukraine have used the incident to indict Russia and more specifically, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the court of public opinion. It has used legal maneuvering and its well-oiled press to turn the investigation of the disaster into a witchhunt with an inevitable outcome already eagerly determined to implicate Russia.

Comment: While the West has been caught repeatedly lying, twisting the truth or obfuscating, don't expect anything to change. The empire of chaos is in rapid decline, yet it will likely continue on it's downward spiral because the psychopaths in charge are living in a dream reality of wishful thinking.

Warcrime: Report says US forces in Afghanistan knew Kunduz site was hospital

The damaged hospital in which the Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) medical charity operated is seen on October 13, 2015 following an air strike in the northern city of Kunduz
New information suggests the US deliberately targeted the Kunduz hospital, killing 22 patients and staff, despite knowing it was a protected medical site.

US special operations analysts investigated the hospital for days prior to the deadly October 3 attack, describing the hospital as a base of operations for a Pakistani agent coordinating Taliban activities, AP has learned from a former intelligence official familiar with the documents.

The site, operated by Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres, MSF), was attacked five times in the span of an hour by a C-130 gunship, despite repeated pleas by the MSF to US forces. MSF officials described repeated strafing runs against the main hospital building, which housed the emergency room and the intensive care unit. No surrounding buildings were hit, they say.

The new details suggest "that the hospital was intentionally targeted," Meinie Nicolai of MSF told the AP by email. "This would amount to a premeditated massacre," she added.

According to AP's source, intelligence reports suggested the hospital was being used as a Taliban command and control center and a repository for heavy weapons. MSF insists that no weapons were allowed in the hospital. While the US military has claimed that US and Afghan forces came under fire from the hospital, Afghan hospital employees told AP that no one had fired from the building

Putin takes U.S. to task on uncooperative stance, Syrian army begins new offensive

Russian precision bombing: Undamaged mosque
Russia said Thursday its warplanes had eased back on air strikes in Syria as regime forces press a widening ground offensive, while President Vladimir Putin criticised Washington for not cooperating over the conflict. As Moscow and Washington neared agreement on measures to avoid confrontation over Syria, Russia announced that a hotline had been set up with Israel to ensure there would be no clashes between their air forces.

Russia launched 32 attacks on "terrorist" targets over the past 24 hours, the defence ministry said Thursday afternoon, compared with some 86 the previous day. "The intensity of the sorties... has slightly decreased in the past day," a statement said, because "the front line with the terrorist groups of ISIL (Islamic State group) is changing as a result of active offensives by the Syrian armed forces." The latest strikes targeted Damascus, Idlib, Hama, Deir Ezzor, and Aleppo provinces.

In Aleppo, it said strikes had destroyed an IS command post and an underground bomb-making workshop. Also eliminated were artillery positions in Khan Sheikhun in Hama, one of the targets of the Syrian military offensive. "The militants are retreating, trying to set up new positions and change the logistic system providing them with ammunition, weaponry and materials," the ministry said.

Ashton Carter warned Russia of "reprisal attacks" ... Russia's FSB foils attempted "reprisal attacks"

Image
In yet another "coincidence" that many would suggest is an example of the direct control over international terror networks by NATO and the U.S., only days after U.S. Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter warned Russia that it would see reprisal terror attacks within its borders as a result of the Russian intervention in Syria, Russian authorities have announced the disruption of a plot to conduct bombings of Russian railway systems by jihadist terrorists.

Last Thursday, in a meeting with NATO Defense Ministers in Brussels, Carter stated that "They have initiated a joint ground offensive with the Syrian regime, shattering the facade that they are there to fight Isil [Isis]. This will have consequences for Russia itself, which is rightly fearful of attacks. In coming days, the Russians will begin to suffer from casualties."

Comment: Thinly veiled threats, manipulation, subterfuge and sheer acts of terror are nothing new coming from the US and allied psychopaths.Recall this:
Leaked transcripts of a behind closed doors meeting between Russia's Vladimir Putin and Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan shed an extraordinary light on the hard-nosed Realpolitik of the two sides.

Prince Bandar, head of Saudi intelligence, allegedly confronted the Kremlin with a mix of inducements and threats in a bid to break the deadlock over Syria.

''Let us examine how to put together a unified Russian-Saudi strategy on the subject of oil. The aim is to agree on the price of oil and production quantities that keep the price stable in global oil markets,'' he is claimed to have said at the four-hour meeting with Mr Putin.

''We understand Russia's great interest in the oil and gas in the Mediterranean from Israel to Cyprus. And we understand the importance of the Russian gas pipeline to Europe. We are not interested in competing with that. We can cooperate in this area,'' he said, purporting to speak with the full backing of the US.

The talks appear to offer an alliance between the OPEC cartel and Russia, which together produce more than 40 million barrels a day of oil, 45 per cent of global output. Such a move would alter the strategic landscape.

The details of the talks were leaked to the Russian press. A more detailed version has since appeared in the Lebanese newspaper As-Safir, which has Hizbollah links and is hostile to the Saudis.

As-Safir said Prince Bandar pledged to safeguard Russia's naval base in Syria if the Assad regime is toppled, but he also hinted at Chechen terrorist attacks on Russia's Winter Olympics in Sochi if there is no accord.

''I can give you a guarantee to protect the Winter Olympics next year. The Chechen groups that threaten the security of the Games are controlled by us,'' he allegedly said.

Prince Bandar went on to say that Chechens operating in Syria were a pressure tool that could be switched on and off.

''We use them in the face of the Syrian regime but they will have no role in Syria's political future.''

Obama approved U.S. drone strikes despite knowledge of faulty intelligence leading to civilian massacres

Obama drone

"Hey kids, I've got two words for you: Predator Drones"
Secret US government documents acquired by The Intercept showed that the Obama administration's preference for drone strikes took place despite knowledge that the intelligence they provided was faulty, leading to massacres which killed hundreds of innocent civilians.

The US military faced "critical shortfalls of capabilities" in surveillance prior to executing drone strikes in Somalia and Yemen, secret documents acquired by the Intercept found.

Poor quality of data collected by drones also contributed to hundreds of innocent civilian casualties in the Yemen and Somalia operations. The Intercept's documents also showed that drones often spent more time in transit rather than collecting surveillance.

Comment: The Obama administration has been rather adept at murdering innocent civilians, but quite tellingly, has not been quite as skilled at destroying terrorists.
