By now, anyone with two neurons still firing, has understood that "terrorist attacks" have long term benefits for the Israeli, British and American governments. It's not just the fact of a "terror attack" however that can be and is used to scare the public into accepting ever more authoritarianism from their leaders, but also the memory of "terror attacks".

Media Spin, Limited Hangout, and the Melting of the American Mind

When political debate in the US lies between "Should Gonzales stay or go?" or "Should we send 30,000 more troops in Iraq or not?", with no mention of impeachment and jail time for the Bush gang, you know there's a problem. The Signs editors look at a recent editorial page in USA Today and are shocked at how far political discourse has deteriorated... and it takes a lot to shock us!

We spend a lot of time gathering the news from many sources here at SOTT. We go all over the world via the Internet to bring the news to our readers. Of course, you won't find much, if anything, from Fox News, and very little from sources like USA Today, the "national" newspaper in the US of A. We can't get Fox TV so we are spared the most outrageous of the propaganda and brainwashing.
Every once in awhile, however, a real newspaper from the axis of evil falls into our hands. So it happened that a couple of days ago, we came across the Easter weekend edition of USA Today. We were so astonished by the lies and subterfuges it contains that we were inspired to do a podcast.

Release of Iranian Diplomat exposes US and British origin of Iraqi death squads and "sectarian" bombings
The 15 British Marines (who were in fact spying on Iran) were barely off the plane yesterday morning before Blair, Smeagol-like, turned on the Iranians and, with no evidence whatsoever, accused them of being responsible for the - timely from Blair's point of view - deaths of 4 British soldiers in Iraq.
Robert Bailey, a Middle East specialist, said that Iran had made Britain look "hapless" in front of their Arab neighbours, particularly Iraq.
And he said that Britain had handled the situation badly by refusing to apologise to the Iranians, and questioned why the Royal Marines and sailors were verging on Iranian waters in the first place.
These were the words of Abraham Foxman, executive director of the infamous Anti-Defamation League, considered by many in the know to be nothing more than a domestic branch of Israel's intelligence service Mossad.
It has taken responsibility for the deaths and kidnappings of more than a dozen Iranian soldiers and officials. U.S. officials say the U.S. relationship with Jundullah is arranged so that the U.S. provides no funding to the group, which would require an official presidential order or "finding" as well as congressional oversight.

Comment: There ya have it folks, America is actively supporting "terrorists" in its "war on terror", which clearly needs to be renamed the "war OF terror".
