Poland denies permission to Russian defense minister plane: Russia warns of response

Russia will not leave the defence minister plane incident in Poland without a response, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

On Friday, Poland refused permission for a plane carrying Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu to use their airspace while returning home from a visit to Slovakia. The plane carrying Shoigu, who had attended a ceremony commemorating a wartime anti-Nazi uprising in Slovakia, had to turn back and landed in Bratislava. After a brief stop and refueling there, the aircraft was allowed to overfly Poland.

"The Russian delegation was warmly welcomed in Slovakia, remembering what contribution our country made to the cause of the liberation of Slovak people from Nazism," the Russian Foreign Ministry said. "But on the way back, an outrageous incident happened - the Polish side, which had given permission for the Russian plane to overfly to Slovakia, refused to let it fly back to Moscow, allegedly for technical reasons."

German chancellor Angela Merkel doubts that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Petro Poroshenko will reach an agreement in Minsk.
The summit in Minsk, which is due to bring together the presidents of Russia and Ukraine, as well as the EU's commissioner for energy, in the capital of neutral Belarus, has an unhappy "pre-talk" history. The German chancellor Angela Merkel, who visited the Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko in Kiev days before he left for Minsk, predicted an unsuccessful outcome for the summit, saying an agreement between Putin and Poroshenko was unlikely. Poroshenko himself also reduced the chance of a positive outcome by calling the ongoing punitive operation in the eastern part of the country "Ukraine's Patriotic War" at a military parade the day before leaving for Minsk. For Russians, the name of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 against the Nazi Germany is sacred. The use of this sacred name for the indiscriminate, fratricidal killing of Ukrainians and Russians (mostly civilians) in the east of Ukraine is an insult to Russians by Poroshenko. Yet again, the new regime in Kiev has showed its lack of understanding for Ukraine's and Russia's common history.

This lack of sensitivity is not limited to the sphere of political declarations. It is reflected in life stories of real people.

Clashes erupted between al-Qaeda-linked Syrian rebels and UN peacekeepers in the Golan Heights on Saturday after the militants surrounded their encampment, activists and officials said, as the international organization risked being sucked further into the conflict.

Other UN peacekeepers were able to flee from a different encampment that that was also surrounded by rebels of the Nusra Front, al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, they said.

The clashes came after Syrian rebel groups, including the Nusra Front, overran the Quneitra crossing - located on the frontier between Syrian and Israeli controlled parts of the Golan Heights - on Wednesday, seizing 44 Fijian peacekeepers.

Kyrgyz Gov't approves bills to join Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan

Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet of Ministers has unanimously approved a package of bills that pave the way for the country's accession to the Customs Union and Common Economic Space of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz government announced.

"Today we are making a historic decision for our country. We have unanimously decided to adopt the whole list of bills and send the package of documents required to join the Customs Union to Zogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz parliament)," Kyrgyzstan's Prime Minister Djoomart Otorbaev said.

The country's government has "fulfilled its obligations within the framework of the roadmap to join the Customs Union almost in full," the press service noted.

Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed the Eurasian Economic Union (EAU) Treaty on May 29. Following the agreement, Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said his country would join the Eurasian Economic Union by the end of the year.

Vladimir Putin has criticized Washington's unilateral actions on the international arena, saying that whatever it touches seems to be turning into Libya or Iraq. Below are the top 10 quotes from the Russian President's speech at the Seliger youth forum.

Unilateral decisions made outside the United Nations are usually doomed to failure, Putin said Friday, while speaking at the "Seliger-2014" annual youth forum.

"Do you remember the joke: 'Whatever Russians make, they always end up with a Kalashnikov?' I get an impression that whatever Americans touch they always end up with Libya or Iraq," Putin told the participants of the 10th forum held on Lake Seliger in Tver region, some 370 km north of Moscow.

"When decisions are made unilaterally, they always turn out to be short lived. And the other way round: it's difficult to reach consensus at the UN because often opposite opinions and positions collide. But that is the only way to achieve long-term decisions," he said.

Michael Spindelegger, ÖVP Chairman, Austria's vice Chancellor and Finance Minister has announced he is stepping down from all political functions during a press conference citing criticism from his own political party over his refusal to accelerate tax reform plans.

Spindelegger said at the press conference that he is giving up his function as head of the conservative People's Party, the junior government coalition partner of the Social Democrats. Now the ÖVP must occupy the newly freed up positions.

He said that reducing taxes for the average wage-earner now would come at the cost of new government debt or increasing other forms of taxation. He told reporters that he opposes both scenarios.

Spindelegger became vice chancellor three years ago and was appointed finance minister last year.

Government engineered false-flag terrorism is a historically established fact. For centuries, political and financial elites have been sinking ships, setting buildings on fire, assassinating diplomats, overthrowing elected leaders, and blowing people up, then blaming these disasters on convenient scapegoats so that they can induce fear in the public and transfer more power to themselves. Skeptics might argue whether certain calamities have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be false-flag events, but no one can argue that such tactics have not been used by the establishment in the past. Governments have openly admitted to creating bloody and catalyzing tragedies under false pretenses, like Operation Gladio, a false-flag program in Europe supported by European and American covert agencies which lasted decades, from the 1950's to the 1990's.

Gladio utilized well-paid and trained rogue groups and agents as well as patsies, compartmentalized and controlled, who would commit atrocities against the European public. These atrocities would then be blamed on "left wing extremists", galvanizing the citizenry and political representatives towards the false East/West paradigm. The superficial motivation given by whistleblowers was that Gladio was to be used to keep the right wing in power. However, the broader and deeper goal was clearly to manipulate Europeans into accepting a unification mindset, paving the way for the eventual centralization of Europe into the EU supranational block. Gladio, is only one well documented example of false-flag terrorism being exploited by governments to mold mass psychology towards greater collectivism.

The World is at a dangerous Crossroads. The Western military alliance is in an advanced state of readiness. And so is Russia. Russia is heralded as the "Aggressor". US-NATO military confrontation with Russia is contemplated. Enabling legislation in the US Senate under "The Russian Aggression Prevention Act" (RAPA) has "set the US on a path towards direct military conflict with Russia in Ukraine."
Any US-Russian war is likely to quickly escalate into a nuclear war, since neither the US nor Russia would be willing to admit defeat, both have many thousands of nuclear weapons ready for instant use, and both rely upon Counterforce military doctrine that tasks their military, in the event of war, to preemptively destroy the nuclear forces of the enemy. The Russian Aggression Prevention Act (RAPA) is the culmination of more than twenty years of US-NATO war preparations, which consist in the military encirclement of both Russia and China:
From the moment the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the United States has relentlessly pursued a strategy of encircling Russia, just as it has with other perceived enemies like China and Iran. It has brought 12 countries in central Europe, all of them formerly allied with Moscow, into the NATO alliance. US military power is now directly on Russia's borders. Comment: NATO has tried time and time again to paint Russia as the aggressor in Ukraine, while the OSCE has repeatedly stated that there is no evidence that this is true. In fact the "separatists" (ordinary people protecting themselves from NATO-installed Kiev) are doing just fine without Russian regulars.

The West and Israel destabilize and destroy every country that poses a threat to their hegemony. It seems now that the West might have both over-extended and met their match in the BRICS. This is what makes this moment such an important time to spread the truth about what is occurring. Psychopaths in power will do anything to keep it, and manipulating public opinion is a crucial part of their agenda.

Over the past months, NATO has made various unjustified claims, for instance asserting that the Russian military is operating on Ukrainian territory.
NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen poses the greatest danger to international peace today, Daniel McAdams, the director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, told RIA Novosti.

"The greatest danger to world peace these days seems to be outgoing NATO secretary general," McAdams said.

"Rasmussen has repeatedly echoed each irresponsible and unproven claim made by the Kiev government about Russian actions and intentions in east Ukraine," McAdams added.

According to McAdams, the statements made by Rasmussen regarding Russia sound groundless and absurd.

"Whether it was the bogus reports of a column of Russia military vehicles destroyed by Ukrainian forces, or the Russian aid convoy containing military equipment, or yet another Russian 'massing' of troops on its own borders, Rasmussen comes across as almost psychologically unhinged...This is not the qualities one would hope for in someone leading a multinational military alliance," McAdams said.

Next week, NATO members are scheduled to meet in Wales to discuss the alliance's response to Russia, which it accuses of interfering in Ukrainian affairs.

Ahead of the NATO summit, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia have urged the military bloc to mention Moscow as a potential aggressor in its summit communique.
