The EU is urging the Trump administration to exempt European companies from sanctions on Iran, as fears grow over the fallout of the US abandoning the international nuclear deal with Tehran.

Ministers from Germany, the UK and France, along with EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini, have signed a letter asking the US to allow its companies to continue to trade with Iran and spare certain industries from punitive measures.

The letter, dated June 4, was addressed to US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. It expressed 'strong regret' over President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the 2015 Iran deal, to which their nations were also signatories.

A Palestinian man was shot dead for throwing a stone at an Israeli soldier during a confrontation in the village of Nabi Saleh in the West Bank.

According to the initial report by human rights group B'Tselem, the victim was 21-year-old Izz ad-Din Tamimi, who died from a neck wound after being shot by Israeli forces.

An IDF spokesman confirmed on Twitter that they did indeed shoot a Palestinian man, who was confronting soldiers with 10 others, while they were conducting an arrest in the village northwest of Ramallah.

On May 29, the OAS panel of "independent experts" convened in Washington to build the case for toppling the Bolivarian government and prosecuting Maduro at the International Criminal Court.

Venezuela is in the vise-grip of a deep crisis; this much was undeniable even prior to the release of a 400-page report by a dubious "independent panel of experts" at the Organization of American States (OAS).

For the past several years, the South American country has been mired in crippling inflation, major shortages of food and goods, and widespread political turmoil. Tens of thousands of desperate people have spilled across the border, multiplying the presence of unauthorized Venezuelan migrants across the Andes. Cities have witnessed violent clashes between the anti-Chavista­ U.S.-backed opposition and the elected government of President Nicolas Maduro and the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela, with opposition forces firebombing public transportation systems and children's hospitals, and even burning alleged Chavistas alive in broad daylight.

Venezuela is a champion in democracy, in democratic elections, as proven twice within the last twelve months and more than a dozen times since 1999. Never mind that the lunatic west doesn't want to accept it - simply because the west - the US and her handlers - and her European vassals, cannot tolerate a socialist country prospering - one that is so close to the empire's border and on top of it, loaded with natural riches, like oil and minerals. Venezuela's economic success could send intellectual "left-wing" shock waves to the dumbed and numbed American populace, with shrapnel ricocheting all the way to blindfolded Europe.

That would be terrible. That's why Venezuela must be economically strangled, literally, by illegal sanctions, by totally unlawful outside interventions within sovereign Venezuela, by corrupting internal food and medicine distribution, literally buying off bus drivers to stay home rather than driving their assigned routes to take people from home to work and vice-versa; and corrupting truck drivers not to deliver the merchandise, so that supermarket shelves are empty. They can be photographed, to make the world believe that Venezuela is at the brink of collapse. Those who are not too young, may recall exactly the same pattern of outside (CIA) interference on the Chilean system in 1973, leading up to the CIA instigated coup that killed the democratically elected President, Salvador Allende and put hard-core neonazi Augusto Pinochet in power. Outside interference - CIA and other State Department funded secret services - was also widely responsible for trying boycotting and influencing the Venezuelan democratic election process. To no avail. They did not succeed.

As Syria prepares to liberate the southwestern portion of the country still held by Western-backed terrorists, the United States is repeatedly threatening "firm and appropriate" responses against the Syrian government, proving yet again that the U.S. is nothing more than al-Qaeda's air force. However, while most of the world has come to the conclusion that the biggest threat to peace and stability is actually America, not Syria or Iran, the public of the United States and Western Europe continue to somnambulently absorb the propaganda spewed by their governments and corporate media outlets.

This then provides the world with an ever-present danger since the West is able to propagandize its own populations so successfully regarding false flag chemical weapons, tales of Assad "killing his own people," and other "crimes against humanity" perpetrated by the Syrian government against civilians in order to whip up support for another more intense military adventure. This narrative has been used repeatedly not just on the Western populace but also the member states of the United Nations, firmly ensconced in the deeply corrupt and agenda driven institutions who are themselves part of the Atlanticist UN.

Comment: Imagine being one of the leaders of Syria and Russia right now and having to muster up the wherewithal to deal with the violence and political fall-out of yet another brutal and despicable lie aimed against you (or who you're supporting) in one of the most destructive and wearying wars seen in decades.

Israel plans to populate Syria's Golan Heights further and develop it more amid 'security danger'

Israel seized control of the Golan Heights during the Six-Day War in 1967 and imposed its laws on the territory in 1981, to the serious discontent and condemnation by the international community, particularly by the UN Security Council.

Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon has expressed his full support for the project to develop the Golan Heights over the next decade, which was earlier written by Deputy Minister Michael Oren, The Jerusalem Post has reported. The plan promises rapid development of the territory and a significant increase in its population, from the current 22,000 people to 100,000.

"The missed opportunity in the Golan is not only demographic but also a security danger. Iran is trying to replace the Sunni population near the border with Shiite forces to build a base in Syria and make the Golan a conflict zone with Israel," Oren claimed.

With the 2018 World Cup in Russia fast approaching, excitement over the prospect of feasting on another quadrennial festival of football, this beautiful game that captivates like no other, is not being felt by some - specifically Western liberal commentators and politicians for whom the mere mention of the word 'Russia' brings them out in spots.

For example, the BBC television show, The Big Questions, is a Sunday lunchtime staple for a UK audience made up of people interested in the burning moral issues of the day. Week in week out it debates questions and issues surrounding religion, abortion, criminal justice, minority rights, immigration, and so on. Host, Nicky Campbell, is never less than professional in skilfully navigating these difficult and divisive issues, ensuring that all views are given a fair hearing during the course of the debate.

In a recent episode the three questions asked were: 'Is it ethical to take part in the World Cup?' - 'Should you be able to self-declare your gender?' - and, 'Can the British High Street be saved?' Now some might think that those questions would have been more relevant if they'd been framed thus: Is the self-declaration of gender an example of identity politics gone mad? Is the British High Street worth saving? And, if Russia's isn't fit to host the World Cup, who is?

But, regardless, that's another story.

A feud has broken out between liberal billionaire activist and fervent Clinton supporter, George Soros, and Italy's anti-immigrant League party, which on Friday formed a populist movement in coalition with the 5-Star party, and whose leader Matteo Salvini stepped into his new job as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior on Friday, pledging to deport hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants.

Salvini's League and the 5-Star Movement struck a deal Thursday on a coalition government which will work towards "putting Italians first" (and potentially making life for Europe a living hell with the ongoing threat of Quitaly, which according to JPMorgan may be Rome's best outcome), ending five days of market volatility and political chaos.

In response, George Soros flipped out, openly suggesting that Salvini might be financed by Vladimir Putin, saying he is "very worried about Russia's influence on Europe in general and on the new Italian government."

Britain has a special relationship with Israel that is little recognised in the mainstream media but unmissable in light of the killings in Gaza. With more than 110 protesters dead, Britain is in effect defending Israeli actions. The British government has not, as far as I have seen, actually condemned Israel for the killings.

Rather, it has simply "urged Israel to show restraint" while recognising its "right to secure itself" and also blaming Hamas for the violence.

When British Prime Minister Theresa May phoned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on 10 May, by which date 40 Palestinian protesters in Gaza had already been shot, it appears she did not even raise the issue. Meanwhile, the government infers it will not even review UK arms exports to Israel after the Gaza massacres which have only been discussed once in the British cabinet.

Apparently convinced that the Italian people support the flow of illegal aliens into their country, billionaire financier and philanthropist George Soros imagines a Russian hand behind the rise of Italy's Euroskeptic party.

For globalists like George Soros, who has spent a sizeable chunk of his personal fortune lobbying EU leaders for the unimpeded flow of migrants into their respective states, the last few days have been an unmitigated nightmare.

Two Italian anti-establishment parties, the hard-right League and the Five Star movement, forged a coalition government that puts a gang of Euroskeptics into power in the EU's fourth-largest economy. It is the first populist government in Western Europe.

Today, when Europeans speak of their 'Euroskepticism,' the criticism is invariably linked to the eurozone's double-edged sword: on the one side of the blade is the single currency, which has not lifted all boats in Italy, not by a long shot. On the other side is a massive influx of illegal immigrants pouring into the continent, the majority of which are fleeing from NATO-backed wars in the Middle East.

Italy, smack on the front line of the "migrant invasion" from North Africa, has been forced to accept some 750,000 migrants. Combined with a sputtering economy, many Italians are now enraged with their "legacy parties" and even more so with blissfully detached Brussels.

To shed some light on the national mood, Italy's new Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Matteo Salvini told a group of cheering locals that the island of Sicily will no longer serve as "Europe's refugee camp."
